below is a cut and paste I wrote for my parenting board last night,,,,,,




My father passed away at 5:25 today. The hospital called my
sister and said to get the family together. I was the first one up
there and the doctor came out and said they had revived him 3
times. We discussed what to do if he needed CPR again and
agreed not to revive him again. He was prayed over and we
waited. We watched his HR which was 30 and his resp which
was 18.....and it went to zero and I gasped.....and the HR went
back up and I thought he was still alive. The nurse came in and
said to take as much time as we needed but his vital signes
showed he had passed away.....it looked like he was still
breathing though.
My baby sister who is 22 wailed ......and we all started to cry...
My younger brother finally called 20 minutes after he passed
away and said he was just leaving his home......we had been
trying to reach him all afternoon.
The doctor said he was 82.....but he wasn't , he was younger.
The VA has his age wrong because he lied to go fight in
WorldWar 2........yes, WW2....
He was an amazing daddy........

So it is Monday and on weigh in, I didn't lose and I didn't gain - makes it easy for my ticker but I would love to see it go down!

Cristina - I love to read on the treadmill but only if I buy the larger hardback books, they have larger print. I tried to read some other ones but I was bouncing all over the place and went crazy!!! Also Argenix is a liquid amino acid of L-Arginine. It is used originally by body builders but then a doctor here from Stanford found it benefits cardiovascular problems, high cholesterol, arteriorschelorosis (sp) and I have been taking in since January. A company in Arkansas called Formor sells it and I dropped 100 points on my cholesterol test in five months and increases energy. I love it!!!!!

Jules - I am trying to get back on track and it was one big calorie day and a half - I cheated on Saturday too!! Not too bad but I had to get it out of my system.

Michelle - I like the idea of having a cheat day or at least if I can have one meal a week that is not on the program or something that I really want and this week it is Beef Stroganoff!! I have not had that in over 7 years but now it is all I am thinking about and dreaming of!!!!

SuzyQ--I am so sorry for your loss!! Wish we all lived closer!!

Mari--I am hoping that the one pound stays and doesn't come back next week....I usually wait two weeks before moving the ticker. I have been at a "0"0 loss since the end of January--it's been frustrating but I am trying to just keep up what I am doing.

Michelle ma belle-I actually forgot to weigh last Thursday--either day is okay I just can't weigh everyday because I make myself crazy!! We don't even have any scales in the house.

Shawna--yeah on the NSV of 5 more minutes on the elliptical!!

Sunny--It's windy, partly cloudy and only 61 degreess here in MD. Everyone is complaining that it's too cold!! It might get up to 80 on Sunday!! I like up to the mid-eighties but then the humidity hits so bad!!

Bep--3 lbs-yeah for you!!

MICHELLE...I used to WI on Saturday but then changed over to Monday when I joined WW a few years ago. Don't go to WW anymore but stayed with the Monday WI. Should change over to Saturday because it seems when I mess up it is always on the weekend.

HI GINNY, LAURA, and everyone reading this.

Getting some laundry done right now but cleaned earlier, except the living room. V (DH) brought some boxes of stuff in last night and left them there so will clean it when is gets them out. Actually, it's clean, I dusted, just need to vacuum. Went to It Figures this morning and worked out for 40 mns. Was going to do a mile walk when I got home but started cleaning instead. So will walk tomorrow if it doesn't rain. Josh and I are headed to the park so he can jog and I can walk. I cannot jog at all. I try to mix things up on the treadmill once in a while and walk fast, jog and then walk slow but I can't jog longer than 2 mns., lol! Kind of funny, so I don't even bother. Anyway...WI...I am up .4 to 202.4 but can't add that to the ticker so...I am just happy that is wasn't more, especially after this weekend! Ate way too much and then cake and ice cream late last night. So, should see a loss next week. I also measured and lost an inch here and 1/2 inch there but nothing like I would have thought. So worked harder today. That's about all I have for now.

SUSAN (((((HUGS))))) I am sooo sorry about your loss. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.
I had no loss I really did not have a gain, by really I mean that my scaeel was up a couple of pounds but I know its water. I ttok my measurements and I lost about 3 inches over all. The thing I find funny is that I have lost about 17lbs, 3 inches off my waist and some on my ares and legs and I just this weekend measures a 1/2 inch loss on my BUTT - lol Well have a great day ladires sorry so late on my post

I haven't any time to post really, just checking in, Susan so sorry about your father. You and your family are in my prayers.

Work has been busy, as has my life. Have to keep going so I can get things done. Will keep reading as often as I can so I don't get to far behind in the next few days. Congrats on everyone who lost this past week, I am still the same here. Haven't had time for riding much this past week , but on my way up right now to get in some miles.

Weird NSV.....

I have been walking and exercising more. Well, tonight on my 50 minute brisk walk, I kept getting the urge to break out in a little jog!!! I didn't do it though. I think my mind is just a wee bit ahead of my body. I would have loved to if I wasn't walking where anyone could see me. Can you imagine all 227 lbs of my wobbly parts hoofin' it down the road???

Anyway...my NSV is that I got the URGE to jog! That is a good sign! I have been totally WANTING to exercise! I just feel so good when I do it and afterwards! Like I am getting all tough and stuff.
