Talking Remember remember umm it's November chat chat chat

Soon these fireworks will end hopefully. Last night I watched Most Haunted that programme is so stupid...that's why I watched it for 3 hours. Paul O'Grady was on, they (ahem) contacted (hmm) a dead person he knew on a ouija board (or maybe not). He (Paul) was taunting the ghost of Jack the ripper that was funny. I watch such rubbish.

Veggie! That's truly rubbish TV! Sounds entertaining though!

Peacock, how on EARTH did you resist a Lindt D'Or? They are my ULTIMATE FAVOURITE! I have a box in most of the time and have one a day as my chocolate fix! DF likes the white ones in the mixed box! I think I might have to buy a HUGE box of them for christmas (or his birthday which is Friday ).

I've just had a mince pie! In November Can't it wait till CHRISTMAS? obviously not!

My sister (target member) has been eating mince pies for months, boxes of them or so I've heard!

Hi Peacock, in response to question on last thread that veggie has closed the door on and thrown away the key, I went shopping all over the place, Gap, Principles, Wallis, Dorothy Perkins and Evans (boo hiss) oh and Marks and Spencers.

Everyone has noticed my weight loss precisely because all my clothes are falling off!!!!! I look much better now in well fitting clothes, even wearing a skirt today!!!!

"I watched Most Haunted "

I'm sorry veggie but that slimfast stuff must have affected your brain, I think you should give it up before you find yourself watching something even more rubbishy like....um, er,....um....no sorry I can't think of anything worse.

And to add insult to injury they took Greys Anatomy off for that

Fabulous avatar by the way veggie, it really suits you.

WTG Kylie - it's great when people finally start to notice! No-one seems to have noticed yet where I'm concerned, but I'm hoping they do soon - otherwise I may have to have a few !

It must be so great to go shopping elsewhere instead of Evans... I hate that place!

I hate Evans too, I think they deliberately make stuff that tells the world where it came from (that 'nowhere else sells clothes to fit me' feeling). I prefer H&M BiB (Big is Beautiful) and Asda. I'd love more expensive clothes but just can't justify it while I'm this big as I'm on a bit of a budget.

I find H & M's sizes really frustrating. I am still around a size 24 in H & M and am an 18 - 20 everywhere else. But they do have some nice clothes. I have a great orange kaftan that looks smart for work, but also works thrown over a swimsuit. I lived in the thing in Turkey. They don't have a lot this winter in a plus size it has to be said. I love ASDA too.

The problem with Evans is they do have nice things, but not that great a range and fat chicks have the same taste by and large, so you end up in the "fat girls uniform". I do love Evans jeans, I looked everywhere for a pair of jeans and ended up back in Evans, for a pair of embroidered denims that look lovely. One of my favourite size 26 items I can't bear to part with is a pair of embroidered denims in various shades of pink that used to get commented on whenever I wore them. They were from Ann Harvey.

I am really lucky, I have had a lot of comments, even from men!!! And have had a lot of encouragement. My weight loss has been a huge topic of conversation at work!

My best jeans have been from Sainsburys - they're stretchy but not tight and look much more expensive than they really are (£12). I've got a great pair of Gap jeans size 18 that I adore but unfortunately they don't adore me at the moment and don't fit at all!
It's nice to have a 'signature' outfit that you feel great in - mine is a fitted red scoop neck jumper with jeans and boots. I'm waiting for the weather to be cool enough for me to wear it again now!
Throwing a question out to the rest of you - what is your signature outfit and how does it make you feel?

Kyk I have the same problem with H&M, I'm about 2 sizes bigger in there than I am in topshop!

Thbecer I don't really have a signature outfit but I tend to just slob around in jeans. If we're going out anywhere nice, like this weekend I might dig out a dress or something and do my hair nice, but otherwise, it's comfort comfort comfort for me!

Well kickboxing lesson last night was really great, apart from the fact that this one guy (who is a certified and a black belt) kept really hurting me! I went to bed with a stiff jaw, bashed boob (oh yes, he knows how to adapt his fighting style for women!) and bruised back after being thrown on the floor (which is just plain dirty as there were NO MATS!). I am furious He's really dangerous. He's the only guy who hurts me and there are plenty of other black belts I fight with, but he goes too far. I'm going to ring the instructor today and tell on him, ner ner ne-ner ner!

Today I'm licking my wounds (literally) oh and I said I'd start jogging! I'll probably really enjoy it when I get started! DF and I are doing couch to 5k. I've told him to bully me into doing it! The programe looks fairly easy for this week! Which is good!

I used to moan about the Evans range too, until they shut down Here in smallsville that was the only place to buy a decent pair of big knickers (along with everything else). Now i've got to get them off the internet, so no shopping for me. No clothes either . Ugh what a thought.

Kyk I got my orange belt, but with a 3 rather than a 1, so that's equivalent of a C rather than an A. I'm happy though cos the instructor wants to make me a black belt! I'm now fast-tracking, so I can do gradings when I'm ready for them.
