Any sensible plan "works" as long as you do as raia mentioned and approach it as a complete lifestyle makeover. Some plans fit our bodies, tastes, and lifestyles better than others, and you may still be searching for the best fit. However, no plan, no matter how good, is magic. It will not convert you from a person who prefers overeating unhealthy food to a person who enjoys healthy food in moderate portions. YOU have to make that change, YOU have to decide that you are going to turn over a new leaf and eat a healthy, balanced, moderate diet (not "diet" but diet) for the rest of your life. That's not to say it's easy from that point forward, but attitude and perspective make all the difference in succeeding and giving up to look for the next fad.
