Unhappy Help!

I've tried Low Carb diets, Weight Watchers, the Zone, South Beach, and eDiets. None of the diets have worked for me! I am in desperate need of help! I am currently trying Bill Phillips Eating for Life plan.

I just wanted to know if anybody had a plan that really works! I got tired of counting points on WW and the low-carb thing doesn't seem to be working for me like it does for others.

I am 22 years old and need to lose 40 pounds! My BMI is in the obese category! I seriously need help!

I would recommend you consider it less of a diet, and more of a lifestyle change. If you think you are going to go on some diet, lose 39 pounds, and then go back to eating normally again, you're crazy. You're going to have to make a big commitment it's going to take a few months to lose 39 pounds.

Are you excercising? maybe you need to up your excercising, and along with eating right, the weight will come off.

Any sensible plan "works" as long as you do as raia mentioned and approach it as a complete lifestyle makeover. Some plans fit our bodies, tastes, and lifestyles better than others, and you may still be searching for the best fit. However, no plan, no matter how good, is magic. It will not convert you from a person who prefers overeating unhealthy food to a person who enjoys healthy food in moderate portions. YOU have to make that change, YOU have to decide that you are going to turn over a new leaf and eat a healthy, balanced, moderate diet (not "diet" but diet) for the rest of your life. That's not to say it's easy from that point forward, but attitude and perspective make all the difference in succeeding and giving up to look for the next fad.

I agree with what was said above. Almost any plan, whether it be Body For Life, Weight Watchers, or pretty much anything-will work if YOU do. You have to be willing to change your lifestyle, and see it as a lifestyle change-not a diet that you go on for a while.
Good luck,
Aphil
