good afternoon everyone.
Welcome Gosia. I am Ricci,( pronounced ricky) sahm to two boys 3, and 5. You will love it here. These women are a fantastic support group.
I have been so busy this week with my MOMs club. Yesterday I had to run the nursery for scrapbooking day, today we had a Valentines party for the kids, and tomorrow my sister is coming here and dressing up like Cinderella to read stories to the kiddos. It sounds like you all are doing great. I hope eveyone has a good weekend, and Valentines day.

Hi everyone!!! Welcome Gosia! Sounds like you are doing really well with your weight loss! So glad to hear you are breastfeeding! I breastfed both my kids and it was the most wonderful experience! BTW, I am Candy, mom to Sean, 4 and Kylie, 2. I am a SAHM and also work full-time from home for a medical practice. We are looking forward to getting to know you better!

Ricci, I always meant to ask you how you pronounce your name!!! Sounds like you have had a lot of fun activities planned!!! Hope everything went well and according to plan!

Spryng, I know you must be soooo excited about going to your friend's shower and in your new van!!! Hope you get everything done and your house all nice and clean. I'm like that too. I have to have my house spotless and all the laundry done when I leave so I have a clean slate when I get home. Hope they get your van back in time!

Melinda, what high school did you go to? I grew up in West Ashley too and went to St. Andrew's, Class of 1993. We are building our house out in Ravenel, just 15 minutes from West Ashley, not too far. Plus, there is a Food Lion, Hollywood Video, CVS and Family Dollar just 2 mnutes away so it is in the country but not in the boonies! We have been given 3 acres. I am so excited. I have big plans for a huge garden and a green house so I can grow my own veggies. Plus we plan to have lots of animals. My kids are really wanting a goose right now because of "Fly Away Home". Anyhows, I'm excited about it if you couldn't tell!

Ginny, hope you had fun with the in-laws. Know what you mean about needing a vacation! We keep talking about a cruise. Anyone ever gone on one? We were going to go for 10 year anniversary next year but with me wanting another baby and possibly next year, we are now considering a cruise this year instead. We'll see how things go with the house.

Andrea, hope you have a good weekend! I know you can't wait for DH to get back. How long will he be back for?

Spryng, dinner was Korean Tofu and Vegetable Soup. Very spicy and it hit the spot with this stupid cough.

Hi Geri, Lori and anyone else I might have missed! Hope everyone is having a great day! TTYL!

Hi everyone,

Going to post early so I can watch ER then go to bed. My friend's coming over tomorrow morning to make me finish my resume. She had an interview today so I'm excited to hear how it went. She's single and a homeowner so she really needs a job!! I just want the unemployment $$.

Welcome Gosia, I am Geri SAHM of 2 boys, Will who will be 3 in May and Tony who will be 1 in May. Been married for 4 years in May (don't ask me what was up with the month of May, but it has become my favorite month!!). I am struggling with my weight loss as I have lost it 2 times already and gained it back both times. Seems much tougher this time around but I know I will eventually do it. This will be the last time....3rd times a charm you know?? I had to quit smoking 3 times in order for it to work and it will be 5 years ... oh my gosh ... in May!!! What the heck?????

I hope everyone had a great day today. Don't know when I'll get on tomorrow. Dh and I are going out for a dinner date tomorrow night. It has been a long time....the opening weekend of Finding Nemo I think! We couldn't find another movie that both of us wanted to see at the time.

Andrea, thanks for popping in ... I was getting a little worried!!

Talk to you all later!

Good evening all!
Sorry I have been off of here most of the day. I had to go fax some more things to the place we are buying the van from so I decided to just make a day out of being gone. My SIL and I went to joplin (about an hour and 15 minutes from here) to finish up buying things for my best friends baby shower. Went out to lunch (burger king, but I ordered a chicken baguette, so all OP ) then cruised toys r us and ended up buying a cartoon for the kids (on sale) and then drove the long drive home. I dropped SIL off and headed straight back to our walmart because I forgot to buy tape for the wrapping paper. Then we came home, i was starving so we had tacos (with morningstar farms crumbles, which was excellent and hit the spot) then I wrapped that big box up, the kids helped, lol. But it's very cute. Then finally got to sit and watch survivor and csi, put the kids down and here I am now. So it's been a long day and I didn't do one thing in this house, lol. But I'm not going anywhere tomorrow so I can clean all day long. And my van still isn't here. They told me tomorrow or monday. Ugh. Patience is not my best virtue but I have their van so I know they will being me mine eventually. Ok, enough about me.
Geri, that is funny that May is your month. And yes I think the 3rd time is a charm And I hope you have lots of fun on your date tomorrow!!
Candy, DH and I have been thinking about a cruise also! But I think we would like to go on a disney cruise and take the kids. But I do have a phobia of cruise ships so I would have to work on that. I need to be on one so large that I think I'm in a hotel or something or be able to see land at all times. Is that even possible?
Andrea, so glad you got DH home as long as you did and back on tuesday!!? You lucky girl!! How have you been feeling lately? Morning sickness?
Ricci, that is so funny about your name I always thought it was pronounced Ree-chi , has anyone called you that before? lol. Sorry about that, but it is nice to know how your real name is pronounced. And how cute of your sister to dress up like cinderella!! I'm sure the kids love that.
Well I promised myself I would get in bed early tonight and it's not quite 10 pm yet so I guess it is time. Tomorrow is WI so send me some skinny vibes!!

Hi everyone! So great to hear from Misty!!! I have been thinking about her and wondering how she has been. Hope she'll be back with us soon! Spryng, hope you got your housework all done! I know you must be soooo excited. I am excited for you. A road trip, new van, best friend, mommy time with Ava...too exciting!

Ginny, you poor thing! I really feel bad for you re: your in-laws. I can't imagine how it must be. I just count my blessings when I hear stories like yours!!! Anyhows, hope you will get a little rest this weekend!

Geri, congrats on the resume! Now you just have to make sure to apply to places that won't hire you! Ha,ha!!! Hope you guys have a great time tonight. Can't wait to hear all about it! You going to see a movie and if so, which one?

Melinda, congrats on the #1 loss!!! Yeah!!! Too cute that JW was "helping" you type. I bet it took you 10 minutes to type that tiny message! I remember those days and really miss them. Maybe I'll get a few more of them in a couple years! Keep up the good work!!! Sorry if you told us already but how close are you to goal? I feel like I will never get there! I've got 15 lbs off but still have 20 to go! It seems like sooooo much.

My SIL stopped by for a couple hours yesterday as she is in town for a couple days. She and I used to be the same size but since she was in VA, separated from my bro, she has lost tons of weight and was super skinny. Sickening! Her circumstances were the cause I am sure but anyways, it just made me feel like I'm never gonna get there. I know I will...it just takes time and lots of patience, which I don't have! Anyhows, we are going to a basketball game tomorrow night. My DH is a huge fan of the USC Gamecocks so he, ds and I are going. Ky is staying with the grandparents because it was full price for everyone over 6 months and we just didn't want to pay for her and also I am sure we will enjoy it more without her. But we will have to do something special with just her another day. Mike bribed me to go by saying he would take me to Carolina Pottery! We don't have one here in Charleston but they do have one in Columbia, where we are going for the game, and I am soooo excited! Only bad thing about it all is that we will be driving home in the rain...it is about 2 hours away but I didn't want to spend money on a hotel. I'd rather spend that $40 at Carolina Pottery!!!

Well, gonna get off here. Hi Ricci, Lori, Andrea, Gosia, and anyone else I may have missed. Hope you all have great weekends!!!

I did not get a workout today. I was trying to track down some stink in our kitchen. I have pinpointed it down to the sick, so DH will have to take the disposal apart to find out where it is coming from. What a great Valentines?

4 pounds down, but a long way to go. I can stand to lose 40 pounds, but I would like to focus on 20 at a time, so that it does not seem so far away. I haven't written my weight on the board yet. I guess I am in denial. I really don't feel like the number on the scale is as representative as my total health and well being. Just an issue I have to deal with.

Candy: It is freakin' me out everytime you write something. I am sure we know some of the same people. I graduated from Middleton in '92. My husband is a Carolina undergrad and I Clemson. We had football tickets to both schools last year, but the Clemson ones got dropped with the baby. My husband goes to the basketball games when he can, but it is hard for me to get excited about the Gamecocks. We will have to get together.

Have a Happy Valentine's!

Melinda

Happy Valentine's Day everyone

Ever since I had my boys, I cry at every holiday that I get cards! What a sentimental Mommy I am. Dh gets a good laugh

We just went out to dinner last night. It was really nice. Dh said it was strange not to be yelling at anyone! Left the boys at my gf house and when we went to pick them up Will had had one of those nasty poops that leaves his legs red and raw and Tony was screaming his head off So, so much for our quiet evening. Put Will in the tub to sooth his bottom and Tony stopped crying when Mommy held him It was still a good night and my gf said she sure was glad that she was done with the infant stage I just said to Dh the other day that someday we'll be sitting here thinking how fast the kids have grown and wouldn't it be nice if they were babies again....because we would forget all the hassle that comes with little ones Gotta love them!

Well, I have to get off of here and look for some jobs to NOT get hired to do!!

Hi Candy, Lori, Ricci, Spryng, Ginny, Ricci, Gosia, Melinda, and anyone I may have missed. I hope everyone has a really wonderful Valentines Day!

Just a quickie as we are fixing to leave for Columbia shortly. WI today was still 150 but I had weighed on Wednesday and was 149. TOM came today so I am sure that was the reason for the slight increase. Maybe next week will be 3 lbs less! Anyway, I didn't meet my goal but oh well. I am still going for 130 by April 1st which means I need to get cranking! Maybe once this cough goes away I can hit the pilates and Gazelle hot and heavy! Hope everyone has a great day. TTYL!
