Hi everyone. My (screen)name is Creeation. I am 39 years old, turning 40 in less than 2 months. I am currently 221 lbs, but started at 230 lbs. about a month ago. My new husband (we got married July 11th) had a heart attack in June and we made the decision together to lose weight and pursue a healthier lifetstyle. I am his caretaker at this point and we spend all of our time together because he is off work for the forseeable future due to his heart condition and previous injuries from a car accident. We try and get out to walk around briefly everyday, sometimes around the mall or later at night after the sun goes down. I am originally from Alberta, Canada but moved to San Antonio, Texas to be with my husband and I'm still getting used to this intense heat! My exercise is limited to these short jaunts, but I've been trying to introduce some light weight training. I have been tracking our calories for the last couple of weeks in calorie counter and we're seeing results (approx 1-2 lb loss per week). We are both committed to this lifestyle change which helps with motivation and accountability, bit I decided to join an online forum because it has worked for me in the past and I feel like I need the additional support from a group of like-minded women. My goal weight, at this point, is 170 lbs, which is where I was in high school. I haven't been below 200 lbs. since giving birth to my son nearly 21-yrs-ago! I look forward to meeting new people and interacting with others on this forum.
