Default Hello...Again

I'm not new, but I have been away for quite awhile, so here we go with the introductions...

I'm 24. I've always been large, but currently very obese. I'm a little over 300 pounds right now and only 5'1", so you can imagine how great I feel physically, heh.

I've gained a lot the last few months. I used to hover around 270-280, but my entire life has changed recently, and I've gained a lot as a result.

I'm originally from Canada, and used to work two jobs, one of them physically demanding. In February of this year, I got married, but my husband is American, so I moved down to Alabama, where he lives. I love it down here, but I'm unable to work until my green card comes through. I've been here since March, mostly sitting on my butt, and being bored all the time, thus, eating too much. And here we are.

My current plans are low carb/low GI eating, and the DDP Yoga program (official start today), as well as just being more active in general.

Glad to be back on this site, wish me luck!

Hi devnet

Good for you for getting started again! It won't be long at all until you get back into the 200s, and just keep heading on down. It won't happen overnight but it can be a fun journey, rather than a drudge, and there is a lot of support here to help make that happen.

Go for it!

Hey Devnet,
I'm a fellow Alabamian as well as a member(former) of the 300lb club, so we have some things in common. Even at 5'5" 305 lbs was not so much fun, so I feel ya on that. Cheers to the both of us, we can do this!

Hello, I'd like to introduce myself to all as Sugar candy . I am 50 years old and need to lose 30 lbs as none of my clothes fit and I am ashamed of my body.
