Default July 2012 "On Plan" Daily Check In - Everyone is Welcome

Our main goal on this thread is to stay ON PLAN (or OP for short) whatever weight loss plan we're following. Everyone is welcome to join in.

July 2012 Challenge:

1. Stay ON PLAN the month. Challenge yourself to be OP with your eating for 30 days. Be sure to come here to the board if you feel like you are going to go off-course and need some support!
2. Set a weight loss goal only if you feel comfortable doing so.
3. Set a goal of how many days you’d like to do some form of exercise every week.
4. Set a goal of how many days you’re going to VISIT THE THREAD and check in with us. The accountability is important and a great way to stay on track.

Anything else you’d like to track here for the month, please do so! Feel free to track your daily eating, daily exercising...anything you'd like! We are here for each other because we're all here for a common goal: to be healthy, fit and happy!! WE CAN DO IT!!!

Default My July 2012 Goals

I can't believe it's already July an we're half way through the year. I've gotta get on the ball if I'm going to make my goal for the year!


1. Stay OP for 31 days
2. Avoid sugar & white flour products for the month
3. Avoid junk food snacks
4. Work out 4-5 days a week
5. Post here daily
6. Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day

Watch my sugar intake {cookies, this means you!}
more fruits and veggies
stick with the exchange plan {I'm serious! no cheating}
Keep up the exercise~ weights x 3, cardio x 2

I like everyone's goals. Maybe this will help me stay on track.

Avoid sugar & white flour products on weekdays
Avoid junk food snacks and beverages
Work out 4-5 days a week both cardio and weights
Drink at least 8 glasses of water a day
More fruits and veggies
Stay positive even if I mess up!

Guac, good to see you here, too! I was planning on PMing you an invite when I read you were trying to cut back sugar as Gettin and I are concentrating on this month. And we could always use someone new to talk to. I like the 'stay positive even if I mess up!'

Gettin, thanks for starting a new thread.

I lost a .5lb today Progress anyway!

Hubby had to go into work to help a new co-worker figure out the computer system. I'm working on sleeves for a sleeveless sweater I knit last fall, then determined I would be happier if it has sleeves.

One of the sites I buy my workout DVD's from is having a big sale. So I'm looking for new inspiration. I don't have many kettlebell DVDs so I'm mostly looking at those.

Hi everybody! This is my first time posting in this forum and I would like to introduce myself. I am a 35 yo, married woman from Brazil, and I have been living in Boston, MA for 2 years and half now. I've been kinda struggling with my weight since a child, but things got really out of control after I moved to the US, when I gained more than 40 pounds in 2 years!!! I am decided to fight against this situation and I would love to participate here with you!

Goals:
Stay OP for 31 days;
Exercise at least 4 times/week;
Reduce intake of processed food;
Eat more fruits and veggies;
Reduce dairy intake;
Be kind to myself... stop being my worst enemy!

Weight: 185.4 lbs

Penguin - Congrats on starting off with a loss already! Keep up the reat work.

I have had a great day. No sugar and no junk food and I feel really good. Last night I had ice cream left in the freezer so I tossed it out so that I wouldn't be tempted to eat it today. I couldn't believe I did it but I'm just that determined to succeed.

I hope everyone else is having a great day!

I'd like to join this thread. I've run out of excuses for wandering off plan (my birthday, a friend's birthday, a friend's wedding, it's Tuesday, etc, etc) and need to prove to myself I can string together more than a couple of good days.

My goals are:
1. Fewer snacks! I've been snacking instead of eating dinner.
2. Less sugar (see above).
3. Strength training 3x times a week along with my daily cardio.
4. Track my calories every day.

I've had an okay day today, although I did have a few of the cookies I made to take to the office tomorrow (peanut butter with high protein cinnamon cereal from Target - very tasty!). I'm within my calorie budget, though, and I did remind myself that I was full when I started to reach for another cookie.

So many new people!

So I bought 2 DVD's: AOS Empire State and Lauren Brooks' Kbell Lightening. I'm thinking about AOS Newport but I'm not sure I need it.

I finished one sleeve of my sweater, now on to the next. Hubby had to go into work for a few hours after church, so I've been puttering around the house.

Steph, I'm familiar with the 'its Tuesday' excuse!

Nique, I agree, we aren't going to work hard or do our best if we are beating ourselves up about everything!
