  • Good morning everyone,

seakat Your goals for July are great!

Tyla, I hope you're feeling better today.

Penguin - I hope your foot is better and you got your eating back on track.

Sarah - Good job on staying on track.

Sorry I didn't post yesterday but I was super busy. I'm happy to say that I've completed 1 full week of no sugar and I'm feeling great. Yesterday I had a small function at my house and I made all healthy dishes and dessert was fresh fruit and Dove Dark Chocolates. This morning got up and did an early 2.5 mile walk and my eating will be good.

I hope we all have a great OP week!

    Today's Journal

B: 1 sl swiss cheese, coffee w/ skim milk & SF creamer
    L: Shrimp, brocolli
    D: Chicken, salad w/feta
    S: nuts, strawberries
    Exercise: Walked 2.5 miles
  • Morning all!

With Hubby back home I thought I'd sleep well last night, but no such luck I had a hard time falling asleep then woke up about every two hours. Its threatening rain this morning, with a few drops here and there. I asked Hubby if he'd like to try another Kbell workout this weekend and he agreed.

I'm down about .6 since my TOM gain so I'm happy to see a downward tread again.

Yesterday I did 73min of circuit training.
  • Well I went a little overboard on the drinks last night, but I mixed it with diet soda, which I know it isn't healthy, but it is no extra calories. I was also pretty surprised when I stepped on the scale this morning and I actually lost. It has finally cooled down today, so I am going to go on a really long walk.

Penguin- its good that you have someone to exercise with you! It is so much easier to do when you have a partner.
  • Sarah, sadly Hubby doesn't exercise with me on a regular basis. I'm trying once again to get him interested. He had a physical job as an aircraft mechanic but then took a desk job. Thankfully he lost weight with the transfer but I know he still needs to exercise.
  • Good morning ladies,

Sarah - Congrats on your loss this week and great idea to mix diet soda with your drinks. I'm envious that you're getting cooler weather. It has been unbelievably hot here. I am so ready for fall.

Penguin - I hope you were able to get some sleep last night.

I had another sugar free day yesterday and I got in a good walk very early in the morning. I had a few too many nuts yesterday but I'm still sugar free. Not having a lot of sugar in my system makes it easier for me to stay on program.

I hope everyone else had a great weekend.
  • Wow
Looking at everyone's posts and each respective weight loss, I am so impressed w this crew.

I am on day four OP. Yesterday was a little rocky and I made it. Today is starting out slowly (I am still in my bathrobe.) I am about to make my to do list and get started. Being productive and accomplishing something always helps me stay OP.

    Have a GREAT Monday!
  • GettinFit, great food journal!

Got on the scale this morning, but stayed the same as last week. I lost 5 lbs. last month, so maybe my body is trying to get used to the shock of it. Things seem to slow down as I get closer to goal. I've got to remember eating right and exercising is important for health, not just weight loss. Sometimes I get discouraged because things aren't happening fast enough.

Hope everyone has a great day!
  • The highs for the next week are going to be below 90* and its supposed to rain! sounds wonderful!

Hubby went out to My Parents house to work on the project car with Dad. Since I"m not an early bird I stayed home and slept late. I finished a sweater and am looking around for a next project.
  • It was actually a very nice day today! I woke up and it was under 70 degrees! I did awesome yesterday. I stayed under my calorie goal and I went on a 2 mile walk. It was supposed to be longer, but my friend that I walk with has been having pains that keep her from walking very far.

Today so far hasn't been great. I have been drinking a lot of water, but I only have about 200 calories left for the day. Normally I don't wake up until 11 am because I don't work weekdays and I'm on break from school, but today I had to wake up early because I started another class today. Being up that early has given me more hours to be hungry and eat haha. I'm going to go on a walk tonight and have a light supper.
  • A nice lady is picking me up today, we are meeting some other women from Bible Study for lunch, then all going to the church to set up the rooms for Wed's Retreat and Luncheon.

I have to make something today to take to the potluck lunch, but I haven't decided what yet. Probably cookies. Kettlebells for later.
  • Good morning ladies,

Hi Princess Congrats on making it through 4 days OP. You are off to a great start!

Sarah - Glad you had such nice weather and was able to get in a walk. I hope you made it through yesterday evening okay.

Penguin - Enjoy your lunch appointment.

Tyla - Hang in there, the weight will start dropping again.

Yesterday I ate too many nuts and dark chocolate so today I need to be extra careful to stay away from those. I only did a 15 min walk.

I hope everyone has a great day!

    Today's journal

B: Breakstone Cottage cheese/fruit, coffee w/ SF creamer
L: Turkey on marbled rye w/lettuce, tomato, 1 sl cheese & 1 tbsp mayo, strawberries, decaf coffee
S: 12 pecan halves, greek yogurt
D: Salad with 1/2 C chicken salad & RF dressing
    Exercise: FIRM
  • Hi, everyone! Stayed OP these last 3 days, and got my exercise in - bike riding. Today I am really craving some sugar - ice cream attack! I am holding off. I hit a new low weight of 150lbs. Maybe it's psychological that I want to sabotage myself? Ugh. Anyway, so far so good.

Nice to read all of your updates and know you are all in the fight with me!!
  • At church, we ended up re-arranging a room full of chairs. There were only 3 of us, I was the youngest, and one lady had just had a knee replaced. So guess who did most of the work? Its not like I don't need the exercise!

I ended up making a pasta and veggie salad rather than cookies. I thought it was best to avoid temptation. My mother made brownies and it going to give me some of hers.

I did about 35-40min of kettlebells

Does anyone know if I can copy a workout off Youtube and put it on a DVDr so I can do it in the living room on the big TV rather than in the cramped office?
  • guacamole, congrats on getting to 150! I know what you mean about self-sabotage: ever since I got below 140, I've been feeling the pull of the tasty treats. Alas, unlike you, I've succumbed far too often. I can't seem to string together enough OP days to get my momentum back. I'll try again tomorrow.

penguin, it seems like you should be able to transfer a downloaded video to a DVD, since it's on your computer in digital format. I'll ask my IT boys tomorrow - they're geniuses! (I ply them with cookies, so they help me with non-work stuff.)

I walked 5 miles after work tonight. The weather was perfect!
  • yesterday was a good day - I worked on our wedding photos, went for a run, worked out to a circuit piece I pulled from Pinterest and did not sample the brownies I made! Today, I will be running errands - I won't have as much time to exercise and I will get out of the house, so I won't be as tempted!
