I need support!

  • So I just started getting back into the swing of things with dieting. I was good for two weeks, felt like I saw a change (didn't weigh myself, I have an issue with getting obsessed with the scale).

Then I went and visited the long distance BF Friday-Tuesday and we ate out a lot. I tried to make smart decisions, but had one really bad day.

Well, I shrugged it off and figured I'd get back on the wagon today. Breakfast and lunch was fine, I even ate out at lunch but just had tuna on a salad with lemon instead of dressing.

Problem... there is candy EVERYWHERE in my office. I've been snacking on it all day. Now I'm oscillating between saying "screw it" and having a big dinner, or just not eating dinner at all, both of which are a terrible idea.

I was in such good shape up until May, and I've let it go all to ****. I really really want to come into the holidays eating right and with the discipline to say NO to sugar.

    Alright, end rant.
  • It sounds like you're struggling with the all or nothing approach. I tried that and it doesn't work so well for me.

If I allow myself little treats here or there then I can walk away from it. Remember, the candy in the office isn't going to disappear forever. I also plan snacks for myself so I can say no to the candy knowing there is a nice sweet crisp apple waiting for me in the fridge.
  • One bad choice doesn't have to lead to another.....Get back on the wagon. Besides, you'll feel better in the long term if you make better choices now. Cheering you on to goal....
