NSV for me this morning. I tucked in a shirt! I'm working from home, but decided that I would see how it feels to tuck something in.
I haven't done this since I was about 12 years old... It feels weird. Really weird. I'm not wearing a belt, but that's my next purchase! I'm going to leave it all day and just get used to this new weird feeling.
Funny story this morning...I have been OP for 2 1/2 weeks this morning...I have been doing really good. In my head though I told myself that when my favorite pair of jeans start feeling looser that will be my first NSV...So I put my jeans on and was walking around the house gettiing the kids and myself ready, and I started thinking..OMG these jeans do feel looser around the gut area....woot woot......AND THEN I SAT DOWN.....and realized I had not zipped my jeans..........lmbo!! Thought I would share my funny story with you all and give you a smile for the day.....and I will keep on IP'ing for that NSV!!!! Make it a great day!
Browneyes - that is great, it is one pound closer to your goal, keep up the good work.
NSV - so this was kind of a big one today!
Two of my bosses from out of town came to visit, and one of the first things one of them said have you lost weight or is there something wrong with my eyes. I did inform them I indeed had lost weight and they definately said it shows and congrats. Makes me feel good, that others see the changes in me.
Have a good day.
Congratulations! I'm SO HAPPY for YOU!!! As for the out of town bosses... while it is certainly obvious that you have lost weight (duhh), he might also have to get his eyes examined! HAHA! This is GREAT news! Thanks so much for sharing it with us!

For me, my jeans are getting really baggy in the Legs and butt!! But still fit pretty much the same in the waist area but they'll get there. My shirts feel baggier too. I don't see much more in my face, which is where I drop weight first, but coming from already losing 60+ lbs to this diet...my face has already shrunk a lot.
Today I was ravenous at breakfast time. Usually I could leave breakfast, and care less about it...but today I had a pancake instead of a shake because I felt like I needed more.

I hear you lol I bought pjs with a draw string waist, what a change from not having elastic!

I also have noted that certain things fit differently in different areas... My hips shrank much more than I ever expected, while my waist hasn't quite done the same. Let's hope that everything catches up with everything else!
Mid-week and going slowly... the weather is still wet, rainy and miserable but it's getting warmer and we are told that it is going to improve. I thought I saw some sun this morning but alas! It was just illusion...
Looking forward to tap class again tonight and feeling good! Staying good too!
Have a great day everyone!

To say I was in a size 18 or 20 but the stretch was at a max hurt less then saying I am in a 24 non stretch.
NSV, I think lol, a patient I hadnt seen before xmas whispered to me,,,,,where did I have my cosmetic surgery done LOL, I was like what, where hhaha, she said my face was so different and skin seemed to glow that I must have done something lol..I told her no..............lost a ton of weight so I guess I lost my happy cheeks top and bottom lol...made me smile for the rest of the night, then I ran to the bathroom to check my face. I didnt see a change at all lol.....One other patient didnt know who I was, asked for the english hygienist, I said thats me....she said noooo she was bigger lol I checked her document, said no......its me LOL, she said omg!! She thought I melted, I said I guess some parts kind of did, for us its a slow battle, but others it seems fast.
Seems so different to be on the losing side of weight, I remember see friends who lost weight and looked so good, kind of like a slap in the face for me you know. A crude reality check, but I guess not crude enough for would have done something long before now!
What a wonderful NSV!
I am noticing changes in my face too! A few months ago, I was asking my husband to set up some savings so that I could eventually consider a neck lift (for my double chin and jowls) and now, I am hardly noticing my double chin and jowls anymore! I even went so far as to send pictures to a plastic surgeon to find out if there were any non-surgical procedures (laser lipo, etc.) that could help me and he said that in my case, those procedures would not help. I am so surprised because I was certain that even with weight loss, they would still be there as they were there when I was skinnier in the past but now, they are to a point that I can live with them! I am also noticing the disapearance of the lines from my nose and the corners of my mouth. I am looking a lot less like a wood puppet. I am thrilled!
The other day, I had a colleague tell me to be careful because I was starting to lose my boobs. I assured her that it was just my shirts that were getting loose and that I still had reasonable boobs as I pulled my shirt tighter to show her! My husband hasn't complained, so I am not too worried about it yet!
I have "before" pics... I really need to take some "progress" pics... maybe this weekend...

Hi! I've been a lurker for about a week, but have really enjoyed the support I've gotten just from reading! I started IP a week ago, and have already had my first NSV! I put on a pair of jeans one size smaller than I've been wearing! Woo! I'm really excited to be here, so thanks for having me!
It is sooo motivating to read about everyone's success.. I am down 18 pounds in 3 weeks, and I am pretty excited about wearing pants this week that I haven't gotten into in a looooong time! hahaha! Haven't cheated yet, and going to not cheat by having some rutabaga fries tonight with dinner! Yum!
Height: 5'9 current size 8 and some 6's --never ever been a 6 (not even in highschool)

YIPEEEE!!!!!!!!! Doesn't it feel weird, but good? I keep forgetting I CAN tuck my shirt in. I have this whole issue with layering, somehow it made me feel less large - Last weekend my husband sweetly said.."you know you don't need to keep wearing layers...and you might want to tuck your shirt in" What a concept to wrap my mind around. Congrats on being the newest member of the tuck in, belt wearing club...it feels awesome. (as a side note) If you are looking for belts and are in the DC area TJ maxx has these beautiful, absolutely gorgeous Italian leather belts -- they rival anything at Anthropologie or Saks or Neimans and are about 1/2 the price or less -- they really are stunning - the craftsmanship is impeccable. (a fitting tribute - a beautiful belt for a beautiful woman and her accomplishments.) -- Also I love looking at all your avatars - WOW what a change -- you are absolutely lovely.

Thanks for the advice. I will definitely hit TJ Maxx... I went to Loehmann's the other week, and almost fell over when I realized that I almost fit into a medium top. The concept of buying a belt is completely foreign to me, and I guess it would require that I own pants with belt loops. I normally buy Talbot's pants with the flat tummy/no belt loops style. I guess all my jeans have belt loops...
Thanks for the lovely compliment. This journey has definitely changed what I look like, how I feel, and how I present myself to the world. It's so nice to look forward to occasions when I can dress up. My DH and I are going to the symphony on Saturday, and I think I might (gasp!) wear a dress. And I'm looking forward to asking someone to take some pics of us as a couple before we leave.
Thanks to juiceman, we are down to ONE daily thread
I learned how to close it
I really need to buy a belt as well. I have shorts for the summer (the pairs that are too big for my hubby but hey..I'm only a size bigger then him now! And that's a huge accomplishment from where I started . But I will have to belt them if I don't want to buy new ones for the last month of summer..cuz here in Michigan summer is not long.)

Shorts?!@? Another thing in my future that hasn't happened in years! Congrats on your NSV of getting shorts from DH. I do think that you should go and buy yourself some new ones though, even if the summer isn't that long.
I too learned how to close a thread. I went back to a daily chat that I started about a week ago and closed it. Woohoo!!! Thanks Juiceman... I automatically thought I had to be an admin to do that. Never even tried.
