Default Pros and Cons of DS?

I have LAP-Band right now, and I kept getting more and more "fills" to restrict how much I have to eat before feeling satisfied, and they weren't working at all. I finally got to a point where I'm losing weight, but I'm still considering getting DS in order to lose this weight.

I've got 200 pounds to lose, and I doubt LAP-band is gonna make that happen. I'm just afraid of DS because I've heard about gas and "bathroom" problems, but it seems to work better than any other WLS, and it looks GREAT to me!

So what do you love and hate about DS?

For most DSers, the gas and "bathroom problems" are very easy to control. I take a good probiotic daily and limit my consumption of starchy carbs, and I have no issues at all. Too many starchy carbs can give me some painful abdominal gas. I battle constipation occasionally but have not had diarrhea since my surgery (except once when I was sick, but, well, I was sick, so I can't blame my surgery for that!).

I love my DS, and agree with Jilly about the gas, between yogurt and gas-x I do fine and when I dont it is MY fault for eating too much starch
