Thought about Ideal protein, but sounds expensive, and doesn't seem to teach good habits. Considering mediterrean diet, or something like it. I am 56 and just starting having to worry about his stuff about 4 yrs. ago.. Now I'm lost, and apparently lazy! I just know too much belly fat is dangerous for my health.
I'm a calorie counter. It is simple and FREE. You can find out more on calorie counting and other eating plans at our Diet Central here - http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/#diet-central
I have been on Ideal Protein and have lost 50lbs my Mom has lost 25 and is on the maintenance plan, she is so excited because even though she is cafeful with what she eats she hasn't put any back on. I highly recommend Ideal Protein.
I'm also a calorie counter. I think so far it's went very well. I've lost a little over 10 pounds in a month. I like that I can eat different kinds of things, I'm not restricting food groups from my diet, I just eat smaller portions and healthier options so I can get "more bang for my buck" so to speak. And it's free!
However, this is the first time that I have ever been on a weight-loss program.
I am very happy to say that I have had excellent results with the Ideal Protein Program.
I have lost a total of 43-1/2 pounds in the past 8 weeks. I am still in awe at the loss.
One thing that we all must keep in mind is that once we have all reached our goal weight, a big change has to happen and that is that we have to alter our eating patterns and change the portion sizes.
It's really just common sense that we cannot go back to eating the way we have in the past. I see the results and I am determined to change my eating habits and get more exercise into my life because I do not want to go back to my old weight --- and I promised myself that I won't!
There's your motivational speech for the day --- lol!!!
