Ha! I'll try, Sandra. I think it'll help me stay focused, if I can manage it.

I know this is off-topic for this thread, but I took an archery class at our state-run conservation center earlier this year, and one of the instructors was a woman who had lost over 100 pounds when she started archery! It must be really addictive! (It sure was fun!) Good luck with your tournaments.

Every;thing is possible. Put an apostrophe in impossible and see it turn into
I'm possible. We can do this. No question that it's tough often, but we can do this!!!!!
Good luck everybody. (I'm a little overwhelmed because I ate more than I wanted to for dh's birthday tonight. Much better than I would have in the past, but not really what I had planned. Tomorrow's scale will tell the tale.)

Judy, I think that it's always a NSV to see that even when we are "bad," it's not where we would have been in the past. So good job for that!

Tanya, we love meeting new friends! And don't worry, we're off topic on just about everything, all the time. Hope to hear from you more!

thank you, tanya. yes, it is addictive. i didn't start till i retired. (i'm a retired teacher.) curtis and i are having a ball traveling around competing and meeting lots of archery folks. life is good.

i have a request. would you go to the coreporate profile thread and let us know something about you? i know we'd all love to "meet" you. also, you could read our profiles if you'd like. it helps to get a "picture" of each other. also, some of us have photos on our public profiles if you'd like to see what we look like.

judy girl!!! what a wonderful play on words. i'm going to tell curtis about this. i'll bet he'll work it into his archery coaching. don't worry about tonight. just forgive yourself and move on. you're doing great. i am very proud of you.

melissa, you are so cute. and you're right, too. we do jump from topic to topic, don't we? how was your day? i did great!!! i didn't even eat my planned popcorn snack. life is good.

Done. I misunderstood at first, and did my profile instead. So, well, now they're both done, anyway.

Two birds with one stone, or whatever.

Yep, I had a weight gain today at my WI and I really felt bad. However, I know this will be gone real soon as long as I don't let it get me and get right bck on track. Thanks for the words of encouragement and everybody have a great day!!!!!
Good luck to us all.
(I"m not updating my ticker because I hate to =see a gain and I know I'll get it off this week)

Judy, try not to let this get you down. You are doing so great and I'm just positive that this won't have long-term effects.

I know Sandra, I was disappointed when I read that. We won't be able to wish each other a happy Thanksgiving or post our big results. But I guess that we will all be busy that day anyway. Although I'm going to count my w/i for Thanksgiving day, not the day after!

Hi Thanksgiving Challengers,
Sandra, Yes, it's possible for us to meet our Thanksgiving goals. I for one am posting my pre-Turkey weight, nekked and in the morning. (me--not the turkey). I'm sorry Suzanne has to close down our site for a day, but I feel : from you all all the time.
Tanya, glad you're posting here and you've had a great weight loss so far. Weigh to go! :
Melissa, thanks for the encouragement and we've still got time to lose more weight between now and Thanksgiving! Yay.

I was very lucky or unlucky depending on how you look at things. My blip up on the scale was extremely temporary and today I am back down to 203# (which is a pound loss from last week). Unfortunately I was up 1.2# for my official WI at WW's and I hate to see a gain recorded on my card. Must go to "perfectionist" feelings. In any case I am thrilled to be back on track on Core and ready to face the day. We still have about two weeks to work on our weight to meet this challenge and everything is possible.
Good luck to everyone and keep on keepin' on!

Judy, it sounds like your gain was just a fluke to me, bad timing. Are you feeling better? I just love how enthusiastic and positive you are.

I'm hoping to get to move my little thanksgiving challenge tracker soon. I'm really going to focus on exercise during the coming week (not as busy as this past week) and drinking water. I've really gotten away from it and hooked on more caffeine! Which I know just causes me to need more water, so it's a bad cycle! I need to start packing my bottle and refill it throughout the day.

Well, I'm still at 158, but that's probably due to the cookies I ate Sunday night. I'm eating really clean until Thanksgiving though. I'm still gonna try to lose the 5 pounds. I've done excellent with the exercise and eating since Monday though. I'm ready to start seeing a loss now.
