we have a friend who lives in kalispell. we're going up to see him and talk archery.

I'm now on dog watch. The little neighbor boy gave Zuki three ice cream balls that were dipped in chocolate.

Now poor Zuke is lying on the couch, head on a pillow, trying to sleep. I'm sure he's pretty wired -- his legs twitch every once in a while.

Judd and I just got home from the grocery store. Since his new plan started, he goes shopping with me. I'm glad because now he can't complain about what I get. Tonight we're grilling steaks, having brown rice, salad and a dish that sounds pretty good. It's onion and red bell pepper sauteed in olive oil, and then you put in some tomato wedges and a little bit of water, then put the lid on and let it cook a little more. I'll let you know how it turns out. For sure, that's a core dinner through and through!

Off to check on coma boy.

Kath, you sound pretty calm about the chocolate. I'd be freaked out if anyone gave Cassie or Cameo chocolate!

Judd sorta went off on the little boy. His dad is over here watching football with Judd, and he said the little boy promised never to do it again. Zuki 's awake and watching TV now -- I was starting to panic a little when he was telling me the story but I think everything is okay. I was putting up the groceries and all the boys were outside talking in the cul-de-sac.

Ok.....you guys jinxed me! My dishwasher is broken. I just put in a call to American Home Shield to get it repaired. None of the dishes on the bottom got cleaned. This is very weird to me. I can't understand how that could happen. Of course, I also smelled a bad smell today while the dishes were washing. Maybe a blockage?

Harumpf.....but thank God for AHS. It'll only cost me $50.

Just finished dinner and now I'm ready to watch exciting Chicago White Sox Baseball. Please, please, let us win tonight.

I haven't been watching the Astro/Cards game but it seems alot of Cards are getting ejected. This is exciting and stressful at the same time.

Speaking of cyber influences - I think I got either Kathy's or Angela's cold? I woke up this morning with a scratchy throat and a blocked sinus which was not pleasant. Found two sinus pills left (I cleaned out medicine drawer a while ago and had to chuck lots of stuff that had expired!), and took one. Felt pretty crappy all day whch was not fun as I was driving around and busy.

I am also pmsing which makes it even worse! I am so depressed and further depressed cuz I am SO FAT AND ROUND that I can't find a coat to fit me - I look like a stuffed piglet in whatever I wear - being vertically challenged doesn't help either.

First went into Coats & co. - and was directed to the plus section in the back. Found one jacket/short coat - in a washable shearling - at least the 2x was too big - they only had the 1x in biege (I don't do beige) but they could order it in the navy if I wanted - I wasn't thrilled with it tho, but I guess it's an option if I find nothing else?

On to Sears with racks of coats, however many are already winter like and not fall/spring coats. Of course the xl's did not fit - found a 20 in a blue microfibre thing, but again didn't love it enuf to buy it. This has left me thoroughly depressed where I remain for the rest of the day.

Then had to drive dd to dance rehearsal - run off and get groceries, run home and drop them off. Rush to get ds to birthday party - slight break at Starbucks (decaf and lf caramel apple cake) with a book. Back to pick up dd from dance studio, back to pick up ds from party, then finally home at 5:30 pm. Was supposed to take big ds to Parliament Hill so he could tape his speech to submit to the new reality show "So you want to be Prime Minister", but it was already dark and gloomy out so dh agreed to take him tomorrow pm (making ds pay for parking downtown tho!). His speech is pretty good, and I sure hope he gets on the show - what a hoot that would be!

So Melissa - I still have all these piles lying around and Vickie - I still have the paperwork to complete - but I just don't want to do anything at all. Just want to sit her and wallow in self pity - a typical pms situation for me. I am already thinking of staying home from work tomorrow if I don't feel any better. Just want to stay in bed and do nothing - not a good sign.

It is a very cold, miserable and blustery day here today - even my van was shaking and blowing around!!!! I am going to check out sears catalogue site now and maybe, just maybe order the leather coat I was looking at - hope it fits - don't know what size to get! At this rate the bigger the better!

Frouf, I'm SO sorry to hear that you don't feel well and that PMS has you in its clutches. Maybe you should stay home tomorrow if you don't feel better. I'm sure I'll be around after my weigh in.

I popped in on my way to bed to tell you all how happy I am about the White Sox win. It was white knuckles all the way. In my 39 years as a fan (since I was 10), I have never won a pennant nor have we gone to the World Series. Pinch me, I must be dreaming.

Not sure about weigh in tomorrow but I will be going. I'll probably not check in until after that.

Congratulations, Vickie! That was a well deserved pennant, and it should be a great World Series! I guess we'll see tonight who the other half will be -- but I'm guessing (and hoping) it'll be Houston.

I woke up with a haze covering my eyes. This is weird. I just changed contacts Saturday morning so I know it's not that. Maybe it'll get better soon.

My next boss up has a house at Cape Cod and was there last week, closing it up for the winter. So what do I see sitting on my desk when I come in this morning? A big ol' box of Cape Cod salt water taffy. I love this stuff so I'd better put the box far, far away from me. I'll take it home and hopefully the kids will eat it for me. Otherwise, I'm in big trouble.

Judd loved his dinner last night, and the pepper/onion/tomato concoction wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. Weird, but not bad. The filets were perfect, rice was a little too sticky for my taste, and the salad was of course good. Tonight is something called Macaroni and Cheese with Broccoli. It's WW rotini, frozen broccoli florets, LF cheese and skim milk. Except for the teaspoon of flour in it, it should be Core.

Scale was the same this morning, so I'm happy about that.

Okay, time to get busy! I have to work 10 hours each day M-Th, and then will try for 8 on Friday. That should give me 54 for the week, which will more than make up for last week.

Whew we just had a short storm pass thru here,,,lightning, thunder , pouring rain! and now its gone. go figure!
Well the scale was up yesterday by 3 pounds.,,,,better then the 5 it was on saturday. Im changing my weigh in day,,now its going to be fridays. Thats when I used to weigh in and liked it better. (I weigh at home) so this friday I want those 3 pounds gone and I want them to take friends with them...only 2 weeks left for the halloween challenge.
On the good news I went for a walk last night...it felt so good. Really clears the head.
Busy tonight with a church meeting,,,,,,,that time of year again when we have lots of fundraisers. ]
I dont watch baseball Vickie and Kathie. but Im glad for your win!
Froufy I havent heard of that reality show coming....sounds kinda cool. Wouldnt it be something if your Ds got in the show....

Patti, DH and I always have to drag ourselves out of the house to walk, but then are always so glad that we did afterwards. I'm hoping to get a good long one in tonight.

I'm battling the back to work blues today. I'm going to try to keep busy so that I don't have much time to get down. But Mondays are always slow. I do have a couple of meetings this afternoon...I hate meetings!! :rolleyes: Oh well, I'm hoping for a good day. Hope everyone is doing great.
