Default Quinoa

Does anyone have a recipe for quinoa that is tasty? I tried it today at lunch time and ick. . . but I think if it was doctored up, it could be pretty good. I'm really bad at coming up with my own recipes. If anyone has one, could you post it on the recipe sticky? Thanks!!

I saw a nice looking salad in last month's shape. I'll remember to bring it in tomorrow.

Since I gave my rataouille up today for lunch, I may make the quinoa salad tonight.

Quinoa (pronounced keen-wa) is a South American grain that contains more protein than rice. It's small and round.

I like the stuff, but my family says it's too hard to eat with a fork. I admit it does fall off easily! I just cook it in beef or chicken broth and add salt and pepper.

How do you wash it, though? The quinoa I bought says that it has a naturally occuring bitter taste (nature's way of keeping birds away), that you have to rinse away before cooking. Do you just rinse it several times?
