Thanks everyone for the nice welcome! I hope to get to know everyone better soon. I am excited to see the crockpot recipes! That is how I do most of my cooking. I found a recipe online someplace for chicken chili and made that last night, the whole family loved it. What do you all do for that "chocolate" urge?

Steph for chocolate - there is chocolate pudding, WW chocolate smoothies, there is a recipe for core chocolate cake, there is always ff/sf hot chocolate, you could use points for a hershey kiss or ff/sf frozen yogurt or ice cream........lots of options!

Not much happening here. I hope its a quiet day at work. Have a good one!

Good Morning Ladies

Moved my W-I day to Fridays and when I got on the scale I lost 1-lb. I now that not much to the others who lost 2 -3 but I feel its a accomplishment as I have be stuck at 162 for such a long time.

DONNA-Sorry about your sinus are bothering you,but at least you got some kind of exercise done. Musical Fridges that interesting your lucky that it worked out fine. My sister lives in another state and it would be to expensive to move big appliances. Yes,we're disappointed that we have to go back to the center again, but that life.

PAULA-I bougth a box of SF jello cooked choc pudding,by mistake I wanted to get the instant instead. Glad that I read your post I going to try it. I love frozen bananas with SF choc syrup over them .You pizza sounds yummy but I'm still afraid of Whole wheat even if the doctor gave me a clear bill of health. When I did eat WW products my stomach got hard as a rock now that I using wheat free & gluten free breads & products my tummy isn't that hard anymore.Go figure.!!

JAIMIE-In the short time[Mon] visiting my doctor I been using a small plate and having a timer set for 20 mins to slow down my fast eating, and to my surprise I lost 1-lb this morning,so I will continue this plan for the wees to come and see what happens.

STEPH-In the winter time when we have heaver meal we used the Crockpot and its amazing all the new recipes you can find for cooking with them.

Good Morning All,

Well the fridges are swapped , , I am glad that is over, between cleaning the "new" fridge, swapping the doors so they opened the other way, and moving food from one to the next it took about 3 hrs unfortunately as a result I didn't get our fridge washed, I told my sister I apologized and call our other sister if she was upset I could only clean one fridge a day. It wasn't nasty or anything just that stuff that settles on the shelves and bottom. After that was done we went out to eat and then shopping for new jeans for DH. He has to wear his pants high (old man style) with suspenders until the ostomy is reversed so he wanted some new ones and suspenders. He probably has enough old khakis from before he lost weight to go to work for a while. Unfortunately my back was bothering me on Thurs so I didn't go to the gym as planned and yesterday with the moving I didn't make it either. Hopefully today before I go to BIL's (dh's brother) for our niece's b-day party.

My eating has been pretty sporadic this week, I can't seem to get in the big meal at mid-day groove, so I end up all off kilter. I put off making dinner till I'm too hungry, then we eat later than planned, I eat too much cause I'm too hungry, then skip the night meal because I'm not hungry, but then snack on junk later because I am. We might revert to eating breakfast, lunch, dinner with dinner earlier than we used to eat (around 5-6 rather than 7-8), this will work better when dh goes back to work anyway.....Maybe I can make this work better for me.

Anyway in the process of all this I gained .2 But all things considered not to bad.

Paula - that breakfast wrap sounds good. I may have to try it.

Maryanne - sounds like you might have Ciliacs (sp?) or basically a allergy to wheat gluten. I know several people who have that. It can't be easy.

Steph - not much of a chocolate fiend here but I keep Dove's dark chocolate on hand for when I have the craving and just count the points.

Jaime - how did WI go???

Rhonda, Sandra & Sloan -

Have a great one everyone.

-Tech

Good Morning Ladies

We're back to the 40 again, but its to cold for me to get to do some walking along the windy beach. So I decided to do my prevention keep movin walking tape instead. Leslie's WATP's is getting to easy for me need more activity.

SLOAN & RHONDA-I like the WW ice cream cups instead for 2 pts. Then I put them in a dish and add 2 graham crackers for 1pt and what a good dessert. I like the snicker pie also but that not made of ice cream.

DONNA-Sorry to hear that you had such as bad bad even with switching the refrig & having you back turn out on you. You'll get back OP and lose that.2 Try the noon dinner again once the everything settles down,I found it better than having a heavy meal in the evenings. My doctor told me that I don't have Coliac Disease, but I'm not sure so I'm staying away from the whole wheat products as my tummy get hard as a rock when eating them. Have to look into this disease for more info on the net such as mayo clinic or web md.

Have a great Saturday

Hi All:

It's a lazy Saturday here in rainy Toronto. I slept late, thank goodness. Then I ran a few errands and am now roasting chicken for an early dinner.

DH is doing some repairs around the house and all is well.

Maryann, we get so few WW foods here that I haven't even looked for those desserts. I'll check it out. I eat too quickly also and should think about a timer, or at least looking at the clock. I keep thinking it's related to my older brother stealing my food off my plate. Of course he hasn't been at my table in decades!!

Thanks for all the chocolate suggestions! I am a chocolate fiend! So far I think the core plan is going to be a nice "fit" for me. I did the flex plan last year and got to goal, but for some reason, I cannot make myself go back and count points...I have tried starting several times, but always just give up. I like not having to count every bite of everything I eat and it is nice to find some of the foods I like but avoided on flex because I didn't want to give up the points for them, are on the core plan...like all the fruits...I could probably live on fruit! And bean and bacon soup, I always loved that.

I'm happy. We just finished the Aggie Invitational Archery Tournament with wins. I beat my Indoor Nationals' score over 100 pts. Am I feeling good or what!

Have a good weekend, Chickies. I'll be back later.

I'm not just happy, I'm thrilled

I lost 4.2 lbs on my first Core week - which is the absolute biggest loss I have ever, ever experienced. Which is awesome. Put me over the 30lb lost mark, too!

Today I've been planning out my food for the week... I learned a lot from my first week and have been taking that experience into account in advance this time. So instead of relying on my ability to quickly find a Core snack at the store next to my office, I have spent an hour or so in the kitchen preparing a bunch of things to bring to work this week. I made roasted green beans, hardboiled eggs, core hummus which I portioned out into little containers, portioned out raw veggies for dipping, and corn-edamame salad which also got put into little containers. I have fruit as well which will be easy to grab.

I am looking forward to seeing what my second week on Core will bring - I know it won't be another four pound loss but I am confident it'll keep the scales moving in the right direction. I am really enjoying not having to count every single bite of food.

Not a very exciting day I guess but I usually have a good time working with food. Hope you all had/are having great weekends!
