Good Morning All:

I've been a little off kilter because of some sinus problems: I'm eating OK but not getting the extra exercise. I'll try to start today. I'm just very sleepy, even though I got a week's sleep on Monday alone. I'm sure it will pass.

Sloan, larger needles might be OK. I'll try them.

Jaime, I read your blog and looked at your pictures...good job!

Coco: congratulations on the continued losing. I hope your aunt feels better soon. I know we all dread having strokes, even mild ones.

I'm staying home this morning, then off to the office this afternoon. I had very difficult work meetings on Friday afternoon and again yesterday afternoon. Just 8 months and 1 week to go to retirement. Then, I'll have other kinds of difficult meetings about other things, I suppose. Although I might refuse to go to any meeting of any kind for at least 6 months!

Have an OP day today!

Rhonda

Rhonda, Curtis is having sinus problems, too. I guess it's that time of year. Down here there's ragweed, cedar, and other culprits.

Donna, good for you for getting back into the gym.

I'm op and going strong. We leave Fri for TX A&M for the next archery tournament. I'm excited.

Hi Ladies

We had to go out to the center for the last time for chemo but Leos blood polyps were down so we now have to return for the treatment next Wed.

Well as far as my health is concerned my cholesterol test wen down to normal
218 Total-187 Triglycerides -54 HDL and 127 LDL and the Coliac test & pre diabetes test came back negative. My EKG was excellent. My thyroid & colon is Ok So I got a clear bill of health. So now what about the weight that I'm gaining. He told me to go down to 1200 cal per day,and eat slowly,so that what I'm trying to do. I'm going to eat core food along with adding points,to make sure I stay around 1200 cal.

Jaimie-Did use a salad plate for my dinner at noon, but its seems very very small.Maybe that what wrong is my portion size. Thanks for your advice . Your another knitter to our group,I had 4 afghans to knit for my twin DGD's and two for their brother & sister. But that was 8 years ago.

STEPH-It can be frustrating.Hope I can get this portion size under control.I used a small dinner plate that was 9",but maybe a salad plate would be better.

SANDRA-I used to use the 3 section plate for an old low carb diet that suggested that we have one, but after leaving that diet I put the plate away, and just took it out recently. Oh I never thought of that, but now I remember reading seeing the plate and the food shouldn't touch] somewhere. Thanks for the reminder.I miss those meetings, but it was getting to expensive every month and not see results.

SLOAN-Have a wonderful time with your choir get away, you know what foods are allowed on the core and if your partake in what not you have your WPA's to rely on.

COCO-Congrats on your 3 lbs weight loss you're doing terrific with your weight loss. Wish it could rub off on you and come my direction.

RHONDA-Sorry about you sinus problem hope you get rid of it soon.

Have a great day, Have to got to choir practice this afternoon.

Hi Girls

Just wondering if I could join you here. I just started on the Core plan today. I am doing it myself and not going to meetings. I would love to lose about 25 lbs! My hardest thing is that I am an afternoon snacker...so afternoons will be tough for me!

Hi Steph and welcome. Jump on in and join us -- its a great group. Do you do the WW on line? I do have meetings but LOVE the on line tools. For snacks, I have a nice apple waiting for me. I always bring something to have about now. There are lots of core snacks you can have -- fruit, veggies and ff dip, 94%ff popcorn and tons of recipes here on the board. Check them out and get some ideas.

Hi Everyone
Not much going on here.
SUITEJUDYBLUEEYES Congrats on the niece. I know you will enjoy spoiling her.
BEACHBUM Sounds as if you test results were good. And sorry your hubby couldnt get his chemo. Hope he is doing ok.
BLESSEDWITHSARAH Congrats on the loss. Every little bit adds up.
TEJAS Hope you are feeling better. Seems to be alot of sinus stuff going around already this year. Guess we will have to get out the vitiam C.
ONTARGET Good luck with you tournament.
TECHALUM Glad you got your socks done. I need to get a cross stitch thing done for Christmas. But I just cant seem to get into it for some reason. Maybe I just need to sit down. And work on it.And forget about other things. Like take 1/2 a hour a day. For me time. And work on the cross stitch thing. I am sure you will get back into the exercise.
VICKIE Glad to hear from you. Hope you are doing ok.
STEPHK WELCOME!!
Well my Aunt got to come home today. She is doing ok. Just kinda tried. Guess the artery in the back of her neck is narrowing. But they dont want to do anything with it. They are afraid it might cause more trouble or she may not make it through. So they are going to treat her with some meds. Talked to her on the phone today. Her voice did sound better. not as slurred. So that is good.
Well I will get off here. Hope everyone has had a great day.
Thinking of each of you.

Paula, congratulations on the weightloss. I'd take it. I think .4 is good.

Maryann, I'm glad you got a good report from the doctor. I hope you can start losing again. I am worrying about spending so much each month on meetings, too, but for right now I'm going to keep going.

Steph. Of course you can hop in. We're glad to have you here.

Good Morning Ladies

Going grocery shopping early this morning as Leo wan to cook a large pot of chili for dinner at noon and it s along drawn out recipe put very delish.

Yes I lucky that i have a hubby that likes too cook,I make my chili the easy way as my 30 min cookbooks.

PAULA-Congrats on your .4 weight loss I wish I could lose that.

STEPH-Welcome to the board,of course you can join us I always say the more the merrier. I'm on the core but doing it at home also. I snack also but the trick is to find healthy snacks I use veggies like grape tomatoes, raw green beans,& baby zucchini to munch on.There free on the core & flex plan so way not used them to my advantage.

COCO-Glad that your aunt is feeling so much better. Boy that was a scare,I guess meds would be the best way to go. Thanks I was surprised that I had a good bill of healthy but than again I'm on the WW program. Yes, it was disappointing that Leo couldn't have his chemo treatment yesterday but fortunately next week will be his last.

SANDRA-I can't figure this out why I can't lose weight. It also stumps my leader, doing everything right to no results. That the reason I went to the doctor, thought something was wrong internally but i was wrong. I guess I will have to work on my calories in and calories out routine. I'm going to try a 1200 cal per day,eat slowly and exercise more from 30 to 45 or two exercisers at 30 M.Maybe that will kick up something.

RHONDA-I must agree we are a great group, glad I joined you gals back this June.

Have to go, Leo is getting frigidity

Good Morning,

I did very poorly yesterday While I did get in 2 walks (one with mom one with the dog), my sinuses are bothering me too and I just kept reaching for stuff that wasn't healthy. Oh well today is a clean slate. Speaking of which today I need to clean the kitchen, including cleaning out the fridge. I usually due that in the spring but for some reason didn't this year. This weekend we're playing "musical fridges" so I need to do it now. My one sister lost here house which had new appliances, the place my folks bought to rent them has new appliances also, so they are selling/giving away the ones they had. My second sister has an older fridge and wanted their fridge but it won't work in her condo because the doors are too big, we have a side by side that we don't like, so we're getting sister #1's and sister #2 is getting ours and here's is being sold. Sound's confusing but I think we all end up with what we want in the end.

Rhonda - sorry about the sinuses....
Sandra - have fun flinging those arrows
Maryanne - Sorry dh has to go back for another treatment. Good luck.
Steph - Welcome.
Sloane - have fun at your choir weekend.
Paula - Congrats on the loss
Jaime -
Coco - Me time is nice. I did a therapy book once that had you take a "date" with yourself every week. Didn't have to be something expensive, sometimes I went to the movies, sometimes I wondered around museums, sometimes I just went out to the park. It was definitely worth it though. In fact I may have to start that again.

Have a great day everyone.

OK Tech, I've read your fridge swap a couple of times and I'm still confused!!! As long as you all get what you want in the end....... I need to read it again.

New favorite snack (two actually) --- frozen grapes. YUM, nice thing to snack on at night. I hadn't had extra grapes to freeze in several months ( or I forgot about freezing them). Second -- Jello FF/SF COOK pudding. Yes, cook pudding, not instant. Made chocolate last night and its so much creamier than the instant. I'm hoping it holds better, I find with the instant that after a day or so in the fridge it starts to separate and I get pudding water on top. YUM.

Since I had wi yesterday, last night was my free night. I made homemade pizza with whole wheat crust, low fat motzzeralla. For my corner I sautee'd some onions, peppers and spinach. DD and DH would not touch that! I had enough of the veggies left over that this morning I made an breakfast wrap. For one point (the ww tortilla) I had ff cheese, 2 scrambled eggs and the rest of the veggies. I was able to keep it warm until I got to work. YUM. I think I need to make that again tomorrow. Thats about it for me.

Coco, glad your aunt is doing better.

Got to run. BBL

Rhonda - I think refusing meetings for 6 months sounds like a wonderul idea

Sandra - Have fun at the tournament.

Paula - Congrats on the loss! I have never tried cooked pudding, always bought instant (which I am not too fond of). I will have to give cooked pudding a shot. Your pizza sounds yummy!

Maryann - Glad to hear you're in excellent health, the WL thing is such a head scratcher for you! I hope your new plan works.

Steph -

coco - glad to hear your aunt is getting better.

Donna - I *think* I understood musical fridges. Sounds like it works out for everyone!

I'm still over here going strong... First WI since starting Core is coming up on Saturday, so I am excited about that. Got up early this morning to head to the gym before work (and thus I am exhausted, but having that feeling of accomplishment so early in the morning is wonderful). I have decided to go to Goodwill after my meeting Saturday to see if I can't find some long-sleeved items that fit me, since pretty much every shirt I own right now is either for summer or too big. I feel pretty dumpy in whatever I put on, I hate that feeling, but I don't have a whole lot of money to replace my wardrobe every couple of months, you know?

That's it for me, I have to get back to my project for work... Have a wonderful afternoon

Paula, I've been making the cook n serve sf/ff puddings for a long time. You're right. They are yummy. We like ours a little sweeter, though, so I add a little granular Splenda.
