Oh, Paula, hiking in the local state park sounds lovely. I normally go to Cleburne State Park when I'm in Texas but I didn't get there this time. I love it there. Hiking in the woods is so restorative!
I survived the day back at work. Thank goodness there wasn't much for me to do. We're having absolutely beautiful weather. It was grey and rainy, then turned to blue skies and mild temperatures. Nancy (or anyone) have you tried ground flax seed for fiber. I put it on oatmeal. It is tasteless and does give fiber and antioxidants. My eating was not as good as it should have been at lunch. I gave it to a chicken salad sandwich that was too salty as well as not Core. But, breakfast was oatmeal and dinner will be Core. I'm planning to do a :exercise: DVD or go to the gym this evening also. Rhonda |
Hi Everyone
The last few days have been just wonderful fall days. But boy today did the leaves really start to fall. Now it is time to start raking. And then I know it wont be long and the old snow shovel will have to come out. YUCK!!!! Guess we are to get some rain later this week. And colder temps. Guess I need to get the furnace ready. Want to sweep out the registers. So guess I will work on those tomorrow. Well for our Homecoming at church. I stuck to my plan. Took my salad and sugar free pudding. Ate that. And did eat a couple pieces of meat there. But everything else I passed on. Boy was there some good looking things on the table. But what makes it feel all worth while. I lost 3 lbs this week. But today have been out of control. So have to get back on track tomorrow. Well I am going to go and catch up on everyone. Hope everyone is doing ok. Thinking of everyone. coco. P.S. Where's Vickie been. |
Good morning:
Good for you Coco at the church dinner and for the weight loss. You must be proud of yourself! :cp: In some post I read about someone doing the CR approach and eating only 800 calories a day. You should know that a "starvation diet" is considered to be 900 calories a day. Even prisoners of war are supposed to get that many calories. So, don't stay at 800 calories very long! It's true that your body will eat its own muscles, and the heart is a muscle. Also, someone wrote about a dog not wanting to go up or down stairs. We give our 10 year old Border Collie- Lab mix glucosamine with chondritin and it helps greatly. The canine formulas can be pricey but your vet can help you determine the dose for you to use the human preparations that are much cheaper. Have a great OP day :dust: Rhonda |

Good evening ladies! I went to WW tonight and I am down 8.4 pounds (I last weighed in on 10/6). That was one of the best birthday presents I got :) I gotta say my new Littman Stethoscope is a close second. After 4 months on WW it finally clicked that I need to watch portion size... so easy wtf? haha. Tonight I'm going to cheat and eat brownies and pizza :)
