I'm back on track and had a great 1st day back. I got in all my water(another thing I wasn't doing well on when I was on vacation) and now I'm only showing about a 7 pound gain. Maybe by Wednesday I'll be down a few more. We will see. I could have a good deal of water weight since I didn't get all my water in while I was on vacation. And with all the alcohol I consumed, I'm sure it didn't help that I wasn't drinking my water.

MaryAnn, I just went to the store and bought a bunch of carrots and celery and broccoli. Now I need to find a dip I can make with some plain ff yogurt and I can use that to dip my veggies in. I like them a lot better if I have something to dip them in. Or, I also like ff ranch dressing to dip them in.

Paula, I usually have my diet coke sloppy joes on a 1 pt burger bun, or before I found the 1 pt burger bun, I used thomas's light english muffin because it calculates out to 1 pt because of the fiber. It is so good.

Sloanie, I never thought of having the sloppy joes over a potato. Sounds good! Too bad I don't live closer, I would love to join your choir!! Funny, I was just talking to my brother about the movie Choirboys. Ever seen it? It's an older movie but pretty good.

Donna, I hope the weather does cooperate for you. It's getting colder here, and it's raining tonight. Goodbye summer...I'll miss you.

Rhonda, I didn't think you were talking about me, I was just telling you I don't really know anything about Canada's healthcare system.

Sandra, keep up the great eating. I am feeling so much better just after being back op for one day. I really have to remember that the next time I think I need to eata everything and anything.

Vickie, don't fret. .4 is nothing and you will get that and more off next week!

Found a recipe on DWLZ for Sticky Chicken. I will post on the board. Only problem is the recipe calls for 6 lbs of boneless skinless chicken breast. Someone else said they just used 6 large boneless skinless chicken breasts, but it does freeze well too.

Vicki - Good luck on your test?

Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone. Just spent 1 1/2 weeding flower beds in my yard. I had not done any of them all summer - they were bad. But now they are ready for mulch - something we just never got to this spring. I figure get it done for the fall, then get in my mums. The beds should look pretty good next spring. I also picked up a ton of bulbs to plant. Most of the ones in my yard are so old, they don't flower. Today is my first Tuesday with dd in school. The whole day to myself!!! My cleaning lady is here now, I'm on the back patio relaxing while my house is cleaned. Then its off to run some errands then I'm getting a manacure and pedicure! I just need to be back at the house by 3:30.

Vickie and Tech - good luck with your Dr appts today. Please update us when you can.

Tracie - whats in the sticky chicken? Sounds interesting. This week I made Chicken, barley and sweet potato soup. Very good. I haven't made it since last winter.

My goal food wise today is to stick to core. I did really well yesterday -- until DHs bday cake called me -- I was weak. Today I'm going to be stronger. TOM is here, the choc cake with choc frosting and choc icecream was much stronger then me!

Hey chickies! Stayed op all day yesterday. I've been having only one starch per day to try and move on toward goal. It has not been as difficult as I expected. Today is short for me as I will be leaving early to go with DH for his appt. with the rheumatologist. Hopefully we will have some answers before too long.

Maryann-good for you getting in your walk. Keep going!

Sandra-I know you are sad to leave your grands. I'll be thinking about you!

Tracie-sticky chicken sounds good, can't wait to try it! Hang in there, those pounds will be off in no time. I have not seen Choir Boys, what is it about?

Paula-Quick! Put that cake in the freezer!

Rhonda-Send some of that will power out to us!

Tech and Vickie-hope all went well at the doc today.

GTG get ready to leave early. Have to leave plans for my sub! Have a great rest of the day!

Thanks all! I had my test and will have results by Friday morning. I'm going to have a bite to eat and go to nap. I've been up since 5:15 and I'm tired.

I'm making my Core meat sauce with ww rotini and fresh green beans for dinner. Nap first!

Good luck, Donna!

Rhonda, I just figured we can never have too much I'd wallow in it if I could.

Vickie, I hope your test shows good results. Okay, I'm curious. What's sticky chicken?

Maryann, I love those days of just kicking back. You and Leo enjoy your well-deserved break.

Paula, how did your Tuesday go? I imagine you had mixed feelings.

Donna, I wish I knew why we do that. The other day I had Fiesta Nachos. I got a whole order instead of a half. I couldn't eat all but still got sick. It was like it just went "clunk" in my tummy. I was miserable 2 days. In the past I would eat the whole thing and not feel anything. I guess I've changed a little afterall. Now I just need to remember and never order like that again. If I HAVE to have some, I need to at least share.

Sloan, what did dh find out at the doctor's? I hope he can get some much needed relief soon. Congratulations on staying op.

Congratulations to all of us. I think we're doing well--and we're having fun doing so.

Sloanie, the sticky chicken is cooking as I am typing this. It's smelling pretty good. The Choirboys is about a bunch of cops and the things they go through, but they always have "choir practice" (like you do) after their shift, in the park. There are actually a lot of stars in it, but they were probably not stars at the time they make the movie. There are some funny parts and some sad parts. One of the funny parts was a gay guy(do you remember Dr. Smith in the original Lost in Space series? He plays the gay guy) and he is walking his "pink" poodle in the park. Well they tied one of the cops to a tree, naked(they don't really show anything), and the gay guy is all excited because there is a naked man tied to a tree. The guy that is tied to the tree is a real prick cop. You learn to hate him through out the movie. But it's a pretty good movie.

Paula, sticky chicken is made with boneless skinless chicken breasts, ff catalina dressing, sugar free apricot preserves(no points because it's spread over a good 8-10 servings) and a packet of Lipton onion soup. It smells delicious. I will let you know how it tastes.

I also have some "Go for the Grains Casserole" cooking. I have never tried it before so I'm hoping I will like it. It looked pretty tasty when I was putting it together.

MaryAnn, thank for the website! I will definitely check it out.

Well, got to go check on dinner.

Is the sticky chicken cooked in the crockpot? (My favorite appliance!). If not, probably could easily throw it all together. Sounds fabulous! Hope it tastes as good.

The sticky chicken was pretty good. But is sure makes a lot. It is not a crockpot recipe, it is cooked in the oven.

I hope all of you with Dr's appt's, medical issues and the like are getting good news. Coco posted on the Sept 1 thread saying that she did get some relief on the meds and has lost 1 1/2 pounds.

Hope she finds her way to the right week!!

All is well here. We're getting rains from all of the storms, but that's all.

I did the Sweatin' to the Oldies 2 today. His routines are deceptive. They seem too easy but a few hours later you know you've done some good work.

Have a good night all.

Rhonda
