Well, i feel better about my gain today. After drinking about 2 gallons of water yesterday, my scale is down 1 pd today! WOO HOO! Bring on the water........

Not much planned today - need to download the movies from vacation, maybe go to a local farm for produce and perhaps raspberry picking if that is still going on. Quiet day.

Good Morning Chicks! Yesterday was busy for me and so is this week going to be. I have weigh in tonight. The scale shows a loss now but who knows what it will be by 5:00 tonight. Even if it's small, I shall be delighted since I gave myself the first week wit no exercise.

Yep, Paula. Water is our Core friend. It washes out the fiber and fat, hydrates our bodies, and fills our tummies.

Hi gals, I'm back from a two week vacation.

I gained three pounds, but this weekend's getting back on track, lots of water, and two 90 minute workouts seem to have gotten the scale headed in the right direction again. Hooray for Steak Salads.

Hi Ladies

A hot & humid day ahead of us, thought this weather was gone,but I guess I was wrong. They say that the jet stream isn't budging southward and not letting the cooler air from Canada come down.

So I'm just going down to get the mail 10 min walk and than back home again to get some of my biking or treadmill walking done.

Trying to stay hard core again only used 12 WPA's since Friday and I have 3 day left before I W-I. Going to drink more of my H2O for these last couple of days as I want to move that scale downward.

PAULA-Thanks for the start up and congrats on your 1 lb loss. I agree it has to be the water that we drink.

VICKIE-I'm sure you'll see a lose at 5 PM along as you stay with lite core foods.I go on my scale 3 mins before arriving at the WW scale and theres a difference of 2 lbs. My scale is lower,so I always know the out come before I get to the meeting.

MRS888-Welcome to the thread.Sorryabout your gain,but theres way to fix the gain by going back to OP and drinking lot of water plus exercise.Happy its going in the right direction

Yeah.....I just ate a heavy lunch. I was starving and stressed about the painting quote. Stupid me. Oh well. It'll be gone next week. I'll be smarter about what I eat before weigh in.

Happy Monday - trying to catch up on all the news from last week!

Welcome back Paula - sounds like you had lots of fun!

Maryann - we were also experiencing major humidity this weekend - so much so that we ended up at sil's pool on saturday - lots of fun in the water.

Tracie - I have done 2 costa cruises (many eons ago) but not RCL - find Carnival has best pricing esp when I'm going solo! And I am definitely planning to swim with the stingrays when I am in Grand Cayman next March!

Welcome Rachel - you have come to the right place - how are you liking Core so far?

And Sandra - I absolutely LOVE your new avatar - you go girl!

I think I did okay at the wine & cheeseon Friday - yes I ate (baguette, cheese, pate, turkey, fruit, veggies, hummus) and half a glass of wine (plus 2 big glasses of diet gingerale)......but I did not OVEREAT - I actually stopped eating when I started to feel full - and stopped grazing at the table! Left early as dh and I were hoping to get out but was so tired we just crashed out early.

Sat morning I was a very good froufie and headed out to the gym for more weight training and then spent pm in the pool - kept trying to move around figuring at least I was burning some calories (esp as we were snacking on nacho chips and dip!). Ended up having popcorn for supper as dh and I did go to a move sat night.

And I went to see Wicked last night - yes Vickie it finally made it to Ottawa (I did see it last year in Tampa post-cruise)....it was AMAZING - so excellent - I just sat and smiled right thru it and dd had to keep reminding me to stop singing..ha ha ha...and the best was I ran into some work colleagues I had not seen in years- what fun - they remember dd when she was a baby! and they couldn't believe their eyes! (she is almost 17).

Best news is the cooperative scale - started off last monday after a weekend binge (KFC!!!) at over 211 and this weekend I was seeing 207 - not shabby - I think the restraint and exercise are helping.

I am trying to stay very committed and today had soup for lunch (even tho I was passing by the hot dog and fries stand)....just had an afternoon snack as I am feeling hungry (nf/sf yogurt and red grapes) and I find I do need something esp if I am going to the gym after work - which is the plan (trying to go every 2nd day).....

Good luck at WI Vickie. Paula - guzzle that water (which is reminding me to refill my water bottle!).

Taking thurs and friday off for a very long 5 day weekend (which means back to school shopping w/dd which is always VERY stressful).

I don't know what happened, but I am seeing like a 6 pound gain when I get on my scale! I didn't eat that badly, although I wasn't perfect and didn't get all my water in, but I did get some in. I did have a lot of cocktails this weekend though. I think this is going to be a trying time for me as I am taking off Thursday & Friday of this week to have a 5 day weekend, and also taking of Thursday & Friday next week to have a 4 day weekend. We are going camping, and bringing up the motor home and boat to the camp ground. We are leaving Monday, but going back on Wednesday evening so are just going to leave the motor home & boat up there as it's cheaper to pay for the camp site for two days then the gas to haul them back & forth. So I don't know how my weight will be. I have a feeling it's not going to be pretty. We are bringing our bikes though, so I will be getting some exercise, but I am also bringing some non-core food as well as core food. So, I hope I don't have a huge gain, but I will probably have a gain. Especially if my 6 pound gain isn't just water weight, which I doubt. After all this time off I will get back on track and start journaling again and writing down everything I put in my mouth, but I'm not going to do that on vacation. So my ticker will probalby not look pretty for the next couple of weeks.

Froufy, your dh isn't going with you on your cruise? The last cruise we got a balcony and I loved it. It was so convenient and great just to sit on our balcony and watch the ocean. So cool.

Paula, keep up drinking that water. I think that's what I need to do. Maybe that will help me.

Mrs., 3 pounds isn't bad for 2 weeks of vacation. You can lose that in no time.

Vickie, good luck on your wi.

MaryAnn, we are having cooler weather. Didn't have to have our air on today as the house was cool with just the windows open.

Hi, chickies. We took a long hike today at the local archery club range. It was hot and I think we sweat a few ounces. We were both tired afterwards. Curtis ate some M&M's. I drank a Diet Coke. Now is that an NSV? I'm proud of myself for not caving.

Sorry I don't have time to catch up now. I have to be up at 4:30 a.m. tomorrow to go my Niece's house to watch my Great Nieces and Nephew while her and her DH go to work. Jim and I are the backup babysitters.

I lost 2.2 tonight. 12.8 to go!
