Hi Vickie-my screen was still open when I came back to my computer, so I thought I'd send a quick note. Thanks for the sweet props! I am back on core 100%.

Hi there, Chickies. I'm day 2 back op and feeling great. I told Curtis last night that I had already dropped 5 pounds. He asked me how and I told him just cuz I wanted to. Seriously, it feels wonderful to be back op.

Vickie, I'm not telling you anything here you don't already know, but I feel so much more in control and more self-positive now that I'm back op. I told Curtis I am surprised I was able to shoot well at the championship eating the way I was. My self-confidence takes a plunge when I indulge. Hmmmmmmm? Maybe that should be in my signature?

Donna, have fun on your vacation. We'll be here waiting for you when you get back.

Maryann, I am very very interested in hearing how the 3 day fast works.

Sloan, I enjoy reading about everybody's lives, too. Keep on posting, girl.

I'm baking a chicken pot pie now to take to a rancher we know. After we visit with him, we're going for a hike in his woods. Life is good.

Have a great day, everyone.

Sandra, I'm really happy to hear you say that. You sound more positive. You're quite poetic girlie!

I'm starving. I wish they'd finish my backsplash so I can go eat.

Hi Chicks! I have eaten bad today, but oh well. I finally got my chinese that I have been putting off since my 20 pound loss. That was my deal. Lose 20 and I would get chinese. I never got it. Then I said, 25, 30, 35, but I still never got it. Well, I got it tonight for dinner and it was good. I am not stuffed, but a little fuller than I wanted to get. Not uncomfortable, but since I'm used to only eating until satisfaction, I probably ate a little more than I should have.

Frouf, we went on the Costa Cruise Lines, which is an Italian cruise line. The ship was the Meditreannea. The other cruise line I have been on was the Royal Caribbean on the Radiance of the Sea. My mom said her favorite cruise lines were the Royal Caribbean and Costa, so I decided to try Costa this time.(my mom has been on tons of cruises and every cruise line there is). It was good although we had someone jump off the ship the first night we were out and we never found her, plus we missed our Key West port. I think the jet boats were kind of pricey, but on our last cruise, either our excursion was cancelled or too full, so we decided we would do what we wanted this time around. When you go to Grand Cayman, you might want to check out Swimming with the Sting Rays. It was awesome. We absolutely loved that excursion.

Rhonda, I can't wait until I'm feeling up to getting back on my bike again. I need to get back on the exercise trail too!

Sandra, WTG on getting back op. Isn't it great!

Donna, have a wonderful vacation!

BB, hope the 3 day fast goes well for you!

Vickie, I haven't been in my pool in weeks. I really need to get back to it. Swimming season is almost done here so I need to get back to it before we have to close the pool.

Sloanie, sounds like you had a great day with your dd.

Well, I'm off to visit my dad. Talk to you all soon!

Stay core!!

Tracie, I'm glad you got your Chinese. Now you have that behind you and you can move on.

Vickie, I saw your menu for today. It looks really good. Is your kitchen finished? I'll bet it looks good.

We took a long walk in the woods today going up and down hills. Not only did we get exercise but we also ate well--bananas. This is a big change over how we've been eating for the last several months.

Hi All:

I'm not blue, Vickie, just a bit tired from work. I've been taking some time away since it's August for heaven's sake! We'll be back with those students after Labor Day. We have a lot of serious money troubles at the university and I'm not good at distancing myself from what I can't control. You'd think I would have learned that by now!

It's been fun though to read what everyone is up to this week. Congrats to everyone for losing, or even not losing but trying hard to eat right. That's the major goal: eat better and more wisely, and perhaps less

Have fun on your trip Donna. I told DH that I want to go back to Niagara Falls and spend the night in a fancy hotel before the term starts, so I think we'll do that. The falls are simply amazing. Standing by them is quite a powerful experience. The negative ions change the air and the rushing of all that powerful water helps put things in perspective.

You all have to read this article from Prevention magazine. It was SO enlightening for me and is definitely related to Core principles.

Funny, I just tried to go to bed and told Jim I had to get up for a few minutes. I'm all wound up after having the backsplash done today. I should remember that this stuff is the "small stuff" and not get so worked up over it.

I'm going to surf for a few minutes and then try to go back to bed.

Good Morning Ladies

The temps this morning when I woke up was 54%,another great day to be outside. Love this crisp cool weather.

SANDRA-The 3 day fast I got out of a book that I purchase long ago"Prescription for Nutritional Healing" Its a juice--water--tea fast[juice] is made of certain veggies & fruits in a blender or food processor[water]is distilled[tea]is herbal. The only thing you have in between is watermelon. But since I posted that I was going on this fast I found a reliable colon cleansing product called "evercleanse" that I ordered and as it soon as it get here I will start it.Sorry for misleading you.I let you know how the new product works.

TRACIE-Thanks,I will go on this cleansing product I ordered as I'm lazy and don't want to buy all these veggies & fruit if I don't like them.Hopefully the new product will help me,without all that fuss.

RHONDA-Sending [[[[anti stress vibes]]]]that you can use.So sorry to hear about your university money problems.Do you think it will effect your prostitution there?????Sending prayers out that it doesn't. Have a wonderful time at the Falls, and enjoy it to the fullest.

VICKIE-I'm feeling a lot better but still bloated that my shorts & slacks are uncomfortable at the waist. My Dh is feeling lot better ever since hes off that toxol that they used in the chemo treatment.Hope they don't give it to him again.. Thanks for the prevention article. I really like the cores way of keeping your satisfied with out being hungry.Much better than the flex could ever in my case. The only thing I thought that core would do was to bring my weight down faster. I guess as long as I'm eating healthy that what should matter the most. Enjoy you extra sleep .You're lucky you can do that once I'm up I can't get back to sleep again.

Have a great morning, will be back sometime this afternoon before the golf tournament starts.

Hugs

Hi All:

Mary Ann, you asked if the money problems would affect my "prostitution" at the university. Now, I agree that working for a living is difficult and you do have to sell yourself sometimes, but, so far, it hasn't been that bad at work! But, you never ever know what will be asked of me next.

Now, will it affect my "position"? Not while I'm in it, but I don't think the administration is going to replace me so it will affect my colleagues when I retire.

I slept for nine hours! Hallelujah!

Off to run errands...BBL

Rhonda

Rhonda - Do you stay in Niagara Falls, NY or Canada? I really like Niagara-on-the-Lake, Can. DH and I had planned to go there and catch a play at the Shaw Festival, but then the US dollar tanked and your taxes are just too high. When the exchange rate was better for us, it'd offset the taxes but not now.

I'm procrastinating packing I hate it. But I better get moving if we're going to get out of here by 10 am as planned.

Have a great week everyone.
