Hey Everybody
How is everyone doing. Hope everyone is ok.
TEJAS With the salt last week. I had a good bit of homemade deer bologna. And some turkey pepperoni. and then the kielbasa (2oz) on Sunday. So that is where I got the extra salt. I hardly every us a salt shaker. And I also use salt sense when I do use salt. Salt last a long time in this house. So I will be drinking alot of water this week. I usually do drink a good bit of water anyway.
TECHALUM Hows the finger. Hope it is feeling better. Probably with you being right handed. You hit your finger on everything. I know what you mean about the pms stuff. And I know what you mean about wanting the bad stuff during that time. I am noticing I am wanting to go for carbs. But I am trying to not give in. Been picking on carrots. So far so good. But for supper I will have a flat out wrap. I get the one that is low carb. And it is 1 point. So that will help then. My guys want pizza tonight. So I make me a pizza with the flat out. So then all I have to count is the flat out and sauce. I use 2 of my 35 weekly points. And it isnt bad. And I dont feel left out.
ONTARGET How was your trip home. Glad you are back. And you did awesome with your shooting. Proud of you.
Well I am going to get off here for now. Will check back in later.
Have a wonderful day.

Hi, Chickies. We're home, exhausted, but happy. Today's been a regrouping type of day. Our neighbor friend who took care of the roses/flowers did an awesome job. I told Curtis I think all really looks better now than when we left.

I'm still not back op. Tomorrow's another day.

Donna, I am so sorry you cut yourself. Send Lucy back to me before you get hurt again.

Coco, it's sounding like you're doing well on program. You're right. We all probably need to write it/bite it. I know I do better when i can see in print what's going into my mouth.

Rhonda, how are you doing with the exercise? I need to get back to with a new determination. My old determination's fizzled.

So, maybe we all need a new challenge here or something. Any suggestions? I know I need some incentive.

Hi
Just thought I would get on here and see what was going on.
ONTARGET Glad you got home safely. Kinda got off track today. But I still wrote down everything I ate. But tomorrow is a new day. And I will get back on track. But I always kinda think the day after weigh in. Is like a cheat day. I can have whatever I want. But today I made better choices than I normally do. But was still a cheat day. I have got to break that habit somehow. Any ideas.
Does anyone else do this. The day after weigh in. You kinda get off track. Splurge. How do you handle this.
Well I am going to get off here.
Hope everyone had a great day.
Thinking of each of you.

As for a new challenge: we do have Frouf's lose to cruise challenge going on. But, FROUF where are you?? We need you to motivate us!

We could add on a Labor/Labour Day challenge. How about we lose a pound a week (at least) between now and September 3rd. We could think of it in terms of work costing a pound of flesh every week. Those who are retired have to lose twice that.

I tried to tonight but the pool was closed because someone had fouled the pool and it had to be cleaned. There are too many KIDS in that pool!!

Sandra, welcome home.

Oh, I have good news. DH's dd had her second baby this morning. All is well, thank goodness. So, Sandra, you've got a new second cousin, or something like that.

I was a bit of a glutton today. I had a long-postponed lunch with one of my friends who has lost, and kept off, 100 pounds. She led me down the primrose path toward ice cream as we sat on the boardwalk by Lake Ontario. It's ALL her fault, I tell you!!

Ah well, tomorrow is another day.

Where's Kathy? She hasn't been on in ages. I thought she was going to come back and be part of the board.

Rhonda, count me in. With my performance lately, I will be happy to lose 1 pound per week even though I'm retired. I will try for more but I'll settle for 1. First thing tomorrow morning I'll step on the iron monster. If you hear screaming, just know it's me.

Hi, Ruth. Kathy has been having difficulties getting on the boards. Something about her computer. Also, she and Judd are on vacation now. Or maybe that was last week?

How about all ofyou? Will you post with us? From what I'm reading and "not reading" here, I think all of us are floundering some and need support. This is when we need each other the most.

Patti, I'm glad you're home. I am sorry your flowers suffered. I feel very lucky to have had the help I had. Weightwise, I've done the pits this summer. My old habits have jumped up and bitten me in the butt. I knew I had depended on those diet pills last year, but I had hoped they would have gotten me to a place where I wouldn't need crutches any more. Maybe such a place doesn't exist. I don't know. I think I'll always have to fight this battle with food addiction.

Life goes on.

My friend who lost the 100 pounds told me that she ALWAYS thinks about food. She also said that she has a distorted body image. I'm telling you that any of us would give up our first borns to look like she does now. She doesn't see it. She accepts that others do see it, but she, herself, cannot.

We had a long talk about how it must be that alcoholics think about booze, addicts think about drugs, and we think about food. She is going to try hypnosis and see what the results are. I'll let you know.

I imagine that meditation, seriously pursued, helps anyone with these types of obsessive thoughts. I've tried meditation and it is great for clearing the mind. It really teaches you how to just have the thought, observe it, and let it go. It's not so much that you don't have the thoughts as it is that you take their power away. I need to practice that a LOT more!

Rhonda, thank you for sharing this with us. Our friend who helped my archery via hypnosis has offered to help me with weightloss. What do you think about hypnosis as a tool for losing weight?

I weighed this AM and am up 15 pounds. This isn't really a shock because I am well aware of what I've been eating. I am working hard today to get back OP.

Patti, I make smoothies using 2 tablespoons of sf/ff pudding mix and 8 oz milk. I add Splenda and frozen fruit. (I need to start making them again. I've been on other things lately instead.)

My sister used hypnosis to quit smoking, and it worked. She used (her own word) our father's death to start smoking again but was able to bring it under control again.

I think that hypnosis will NOT hurt you at all, so why not try it...
