Jim just wanted to give me a break, I guess. I can't walk on the street, Kathy, because I walk too slow, look at everything, and talk to everyone! That's why I had to get the treadmill. Outside walks are just extra credit.

Now the washer is squeaking, darn it.

I'm hungry. I'm off to eat my dinner. I'm having popcorn later and I'm really looking forward to it.

Angela, I wish I could see your garden.

BTW, it's been way more active during the week then on the weekend. I think some of our ladies have more time when the family is off doing weekly stuff.

Hi Everyone
Not much happening here. Went to a cook out today. And nothing was legal to eat. But I ate anyway.
Tomorrows weigh in dont look good at all.
VICKIE you were asking how I was doing on program. I AM NOT!! I cant seem to get focused. I just cant seem to get back on program for some reason. I have been trying to figure it out. But I havent so far. I am just addicted to food. And cant seem to give it up. So am hoping that one of these days things will come together again. And I can get back on track.
Well am going to get off here.
Just wanted to say "HI" to everyone.
So have a great evening.

Vickie, you must be exactly like me! I walk but still stop and talk and wave and look at yards ... it might not be as effective but makes me feel good. Wouldn't it be great to be neighbors and we could walk together?

Dinner is over. I liked the anasazi beans and so did Judd. We have lots of leftovers for the next few days; tomorrow will be grilled chicken, brown rice, and a salad (and I think there's some squash from last night).

I hope your washer heals itself overnight. There's nothing more annoying that having one after another appliance break down.

Angela, I'm so glad the girls might have some new playmates! Figuring out the rules is important as well as making sure the other mom has the same criteria as you. Your garden sounds so good -- I saw cinnamon basil and passed because I couldn't imagine how it would be or where I would use it. I'm sure it would be just as good as regular basil and I would have found uses; usually I end up keeping the spice plants around for their smell instead of their cooking purposes.

I'm having to talk to myself pretty sternly to stay on track. Tomorrow is always a new day.

Hey chicks....I way the same tonight as I did this morning. That must be good, right?

Kathy, it would be GREAT to have you as a neighbor. I'd love to get some extra credit walks in with you!

Patti, I walked today. I'm just telling you like I'm supposed to!!!

Vickie, I so hear you! If I can weigh the same at night as I did that morning, then I know I'm guaranteed 1-2 less the next morning! Good going!! (I will NOT be weighing tonight because I don't want to be depressed all night.)

Isn't is so typical that we say "tomorrow is THE day when I start over." ??? Well, tomorrow is the day when I start over. I have decided I'm a cheater. I like beer and I like coke and I like Cheese Nips. Combine all that on a regular basis for a few weeks and surprise! A 5 pound gain!!

So I'm on track and will post my menu to try and stay accountable. I am going to try my dead-level best to stay away from the above mentioned monsters for a long time.

I have plenty of monsters too, Kathy. At least you didn't gain back as much as I did. I just watched a Dr. Roizen special on WTTW of his YOU diet. It is so close to Core it's amazing.

I'm committed to the 30 minute walk a day. I'm going to do as much of the other stuff as I can too. I'm also going to finish the frozen dinners and go back to something more natural. I've got to finish reading that book.

It's funny, I've never been willing to drink my calories. I always want to feel full more.

Hi All:

It's late but I thought I'd stop in. It's been a busy day running errands and going to see my former MIL. She was the worst I've ever seen her. She knew I was there but that's all. She was totally non-responsive. The docs are trying a new Alzheimer's medication (really a psychotropic) and I would surmise that the dose is too high. This isn't good but there is a meeting with the care team on Wednesday, so maybe it will be sorted out.
But, right now, she's in a chemical straight jacket.

Vickie, good luck with the exercise motivation. I finally went today to look at a new sports club that has aquafit. I'm going to join. They also have more, and more varied, aerboics classes than the place I now go to. SO, I'm hoping I'll find renewed vigor to move more.

Rhonda

ps: Sandra, we're missing you!

Hi all,
I'm joining WW Tuesday for the first time in 20+ years. I don't know much about the flex or the core but I guess I'll find out.
Been dieting forever (seems like) but I think I need help this time.

Hi Debbie and welcome - let us know how your first meeting goes!

Vickie - glad the treadmill was 'almost' fixed? Hope you can finally get it working properl - but good for you for trying it out - and congrats to Jim on his windfall - how exciting!

Kathy - please stay away from those wasps! And I think the ebay selling idea is a great one!

Now Rhonda - don't you hurt poor sweet Doyle - he was only trying to help out and I'm sure he did not mean to interrupt your sleep And I am also thinking of 'joining' somewhere - feel that might add to my motivation - as Vickie mentioned the cruise date is looming!

Very hot and humid weekend here - thank goodness for AC (and our ceiling fan in the bedroom)! Yesterday dh took little ds to his sister's to romp in the pool - didn't get home til 9 pm! I was out shopping - took out little ds's summer clothes box - and poor thing could barely fit into any of his shorts - so he now has 4 new pairs (and 2 t-shirts), dd got new capris, t-shirts and strapless bra and new purse, big ds got some 'birthday clothes' from American Eagle! Big spending spree for the kiddies! (wait til the bill comes in!)

Today had to be out by 10:30 am to take dd to dance recital (noon) and even being that early there were only a few spots left in the parking lots. Auditorium is downtown and parking is a bit of a problem - but it's a nice day out so not bad for a walk - EXCEPT for my mil!!! Dh had offered to pick her upt to bring her - or have her drive to our house - but she said she would get there on her own. So supposedly she drives there - drives around awhile - can't find parking so GOES BACK HOME AND DECIDES NOT TO ATTEND THE RECITAL!!! I am livid - should I be? I know she is 77 but really now - what was that all about - I am not impressed - she called tonight and dh spoke to her but I really don't know how I feel and Don't want to talk to her right now! Of course a couple of dd's friends who wanted tickets did not show up - so I sure hope they PAY me for the $$ I shelled out? Am I cheap or what?

The recital was fabulous (I am of course biased ) - dh fell asleep a few times but we nudged him when dd was dancing. She did screw up one of the dances - too funny - I said gee I didn't know you had a 'solo' number in that dance - ha ha ha. Her Wicked duet was funny and excellent as usual!

Dropped her off home as she had to go to a gala event tonight (awards for high school muscials - big deal in Ottawa - the musical she was in was nominated in several categories) - all glammed up in her new dress and matching purse. And she is getting a ride home - YIPPEE! Then met dh, ds and his niece for very late lunch?/dinner at Red lobster - pigged out a bit but figure it was covering two meals right? (and I was starving). I did bring some good snacks with me to the recital (yes I snuck them in) - banana, apple, popcorn, water and that helped.

Lots of 'challenges' this week tho - ds' birthday tomorrow - going out for japanese grill dinner, Tuesday meeting gf for dinner out again, wed closing event for my women's group (desserts!) and might head out to see dh play his gig that night afterward - have to be DILIGENT about what I put in my mouth!
