Hi Debbie and welcome - let us know how your first meeting goes!
Vickie - glad the treadmill was 'almost' fixed? Hope you can finally get it working properl - but good for you for trying it out - and congrats to Jim on his windfall - how exciting!
Kathy - please stay away from those wasps! And I think the ebay selling idea is a great one!
Now Rhonda - don't you hurt poor sweet Doyle - he was only trying to help out and I'm sure he did not mean to interrupt your sleep

And I am also thinking of 'joining' somewhere - feel that might add to my motivation - as Vickie mentioned the cruise date is looming!
Very hot and humid weekend here - thank goodness for AC (and our ceiling fan in the bedroom)! Yesterday dh took little ds to his sister's to romp in the pool - didn't get home til 9 pm! I was out shopping - took out little ds's summer clothes box - and poor thing could barely fit into any of his shorts - so he now has 4 new pairs (and 2 t-shirts), dd got new capris, t-shirts and strapless bra and new purse, big ds got some 'birthday clothes' from American Eagle! Big spending spree for the kiddies! (wait til the bill comes in!)
Today had to be out by 10:30 am to take dd to dance recital (noon) and even being that early there were only a few spots left in the parking lots. Auditorium is downtown and parking is a bit of a problem - but it's a nice day out so not bad for a walk - EXCEPT for my mil!!! Dh had offered to pick her upt to bring her - or have her drive to our house - but she said she would get there on her own. So supposedly she drives there - drives around awhile - can't find parking so GOES BACK HOME AND DECIDES NOT TO ATTEND THE RECITAL!!! I am livid - should I be? I know she is 77 but really now - what was that all about - I am not impressed - she called tonight and dh spoke to her but I really don't know how I feel and Don't want to talk to her right now! Of course a couple of dd's friends who wanted tickets did not show up - so I sure hope they PAY me for the $$ I shelled out? Am I cheap or what?
The recital was fabulous (I am of course biased

) - dh fell asleep a few times but we nudged him when dd was dancing. She did screw up one of the dances - too funny - I said gee I didn't know you had a 'solo' number in that dance - ha ha ha. Her Wicked duet was funny and excellent as usual!
Dropped her off home as she had to go to a gala event tonight (awards for high school muscials - big deal in Ottawa - the musical she was in was nominated in several categories) - all glammed up in her new dress and matching purse. And she is getting a ride home - YIPPEE! Then met dh, ds and his niece for very late lunch?/dinner at Red lobster - pigged out a bit but figure it was covering two meals right? (and I was starving). I did bring some good snacks with me to the recital (yes I snuck them in) - banana, apple, popcorn, water and that helped.
Lots of 'challenges' this week tho - ds' birthday tomorrow - going out for japanese grill dinner, Tuesday meeting gf for dinner out again, wed closing event for my women's group (desserts!) and might head out to see dh play his gig that night afterward - have to be DILIGENT about what I put in my mouth!
