Talking Thursday Chatters

All are welcome to join in our discussions. We used to weigh in on Thursdays and come here to talk. Now, members weigh any day of the week and some aren't doing WW at the moment.
We don't throw anyone out.

Flex Points
I actually went to a meeting this morning. I've been backsliding all summer. I got the new materials for the Flex Points. It sounds great!!!!
Now instead of a points range for each weight group, there is ONE number for each group. For example: if your weight right now is 150 to 174, instead of a range of 20 to 25 pts., you are to eat 22 pts. each day. And, instead of "banking" pts., everyone has 35 extra pts. (FlexPoints) per week to spend.
There's more.
It sounds fun.

Tammy---how is Bob doing? Did he get to go home?

Let's talk.

No, Bob isn't home yet. They hadn't taken out the chest tube when I left at 6:30. The nurse thought maybe someone would come in yet tonight to do that. I hope he gets to come home tomorrow. Tim and I are going to the hospital after he finishes band practice in the morning.

I didn't realize how exhausting this could be with all of the running back and forth. It's about an hour one way to the hospital. I fell asleep while I was there today. Bob and his roomie were sleeping also. Snores!!!! (from all of us!)

It's Friday!
Tammy--I'm sure you are exhausted. Maybe you'll be able to get some rest this weekend, especially if Bob can come home. It's good that they are in no rush to kick him out of the hospital.

Susan, you've been awfully quiet. Has your first week of school done you in?

Sis, are you buying clothes for your daugther? What kinds of things does she like to wear?

Sheree---where are you girl?
Maureen, do you have time to breathe with 2 jobs?

How is everyone else doing?
I walked on my treadmill for 31 min. this morning. I am so excited about getting back OP.

Hi Ya'll

I'm alive!!!! Oh my gosh!!! I'm SOOOO TIRED!!! I have been working late and then I come home and drag all my stuff out again. I took a 2 hour nap Thursday night. Then last night, I was asleep on the couch by 9:30, went to sleep and slept til 8:30. Since I've got up this morning I've take 2 or 3 naps today. However, I LOVE MY JOB!!!! It's great!

Tammy, I hope Bob got to come home. Having your partner in the hospital is horrible. I know when Pat was there I wanted to stay all the time but knew I needed to be at home. How is Tim doing? How are you, Girlfriend? School started, right? Ya'll are in my prayers.

Tina, I'm glad that you like the new program. I haven't gone in a while. I was on a roll and then rolled right off. I plan to get back there this week. I HAVE to get serious. I would like to be down 20 pounds by Thanksgiving.

I'll start writing again. I just have to get use to all of the changes. I did go out today and buy a rolling backpack at Target. I thought I shouldn't be dragging my other one back and forth on my back with my knee.

Well off to take a nap before bed time.

Did everyone make it through Monday?
I know all you teachers are tired out.

I'm done with my fourth day OP on the new flex plan. I'm so anxious to weigh in on Thursday. My stomach feels thinner. Now if my hips would just get the message.

Let's talk!!!!!

Hi,

In the next week, I should be pretty adjusted to being back at work.

I went to WW tonight. There was a great leader. I think I'm going to go on Monday nights. They just started the Flex Plan tonight. I'm excited aboutit. I ended up loosing 3.8 pounds. I thought I was going to gain. I haven't been since right before my mom's surgery.

Tina, I hope your weigh in is great. Let me know how it goes. I'm anxious to hear how you did.

It's Friday night - what are you doing???
We went out for chicken fajitas to start the holiday weekend. That was my husband's idea and a great one, I'd say.

I actually had a real Coke Classic today. Boy, I'm sorry now that I used 3 pts. I had to use 3 flex points tonight to have a piece of angel food cake. Oh well, I can do that. Tomorrow I will exercise some to tone up my tummy. (I need a lot of toning in that area )

Tammy, how is Bob?
Sheree, where are you?
Susan, did you have a rough day at school? I know you are glad to have Monday off.
Maureen, do Canadians have something equivalent to our Labor Day?
Sis, how does your daughter like school? (I thnk it has started.)
Stacey, how are you doing?

Hope everyone has a nice long weekend!!

Tina, school was great! It' hard the first couple of weeks of school. All my teacher friends are exhausted. I also have to retrain my bladder, can't go when ever I want, so I run in between classes. I always have water with me, since I talk alot.

Tina, you did GREAT this week!! By the way, those fajitas sounded really good.

Tammy, how are you? How's Bob and Mr. Tim???? I hope you are able to relax and have a little down time. Please take care of yourself. And remember WE ARE ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU!!

Sherree, I second that motion from Tina, where in the world are ya? We miss ya.

Sis, How's it going?

Hope everyone has a great weekend plan. As for mine... I plan to clean the house, get caught up on chores and school work and REST!!

I am so sorry that I haven't been on here! Bob came home last Saturday and school started on Monday. Things, as usual, have been crazy!! Thank you ALL for your prayers and concerns. I"ve just been too busy or tired to thing about the computer.

Bob is sore, moving slow, BUT HE IS ALIVE!!! I just keep thinking about the car and know how fortunate we are for him to be alive. He couldn't believe how bad the car was when he saw it. It amazes him that his injuries weren't worse.

He went to Tim's cross country meet on Tuesday and definitely overdid it. He was totally pooed out the rest of the week. He went to Tim's meet today, but we only stayed for Tim's race, then came home.

We went car looking on Thursday night. Found a Buick Century that we liked. We wanted to think about it, so we told the guy (my brother's brother in law) that we'd get back with him this morning. During that time, I decided that I wanted to test drive a van. I've always wanted one. Well, we drove 2 Chevy Ventures. A silver 2004, and a red 2003. The red one was more expensive, but with the rebates it ended up being cheaper, so I NOW HAVE A VAN!!! Bob is taking my car. He wrecks his, but I get the new car. I think that's the way it should be!! lol

I'll try to be better about writing now that things are getting back to normal and that dreaded first week is over.

Thanks for caring!!! Love ya!!!!

Hello! I usually post on the support forum, but lurked over here for more WW support. Most of my weight was NOT lost on WW, in fact, I've tried WW and it wasn't for me until Flexpoints came along. I'm totally in love with this program now and feel it will get me to my goal. I'm totally converted after three days on the program.

I do the program online and have ordered the at-home kit, as meetings aren't feasible.

Just wanted to say hello!

Welcome to the group Amarantha!! These women are great. You will find that out quickly. We discuss more than just weight loss and dieting, so feel free to ask our opinions on anything!! lol We are experts (not!!)

It has been raining here most of the weekend. My things have not dried out from the wet football game on Friday. My cell phone died from all the rain!

I need to go open my school bag and see what goodies I brought home for the weekend. Oh boy!

Came home after church and eating lunch and Bob and I both took naps. Felt great.

Amarantha, Tammy is right!! We do have a great group and we talk about everything and then some.

Tammy, how much rain did ya'll get? It's raining here this afternoon and evening. It's nice because everything was so dry.

I just dug all of my school stuff out too. I did one set of plans and put them back up. I'll tackle the other one tomorrow.

Glad that ya'll are doing good. I know you both were tired. Take care of yourselves. You have been in my prayers.
