I second leaving the house.
When I know I've eaten what I should have at that point in the day, but have an urge to mega snack, I'll usually go browse Barnes and Noble, Kohls, or someplace like that.
I have little trouble avoiding the food I might walk by in the store, and it gets my mind on something else.
If I have work to do, there's a cafe I visit that doesn't do muffins/pastries/etc and has Wi-Fi and comfy chairs.
