Fillise--If the wolfpack is not playing in Raleigh, then they are playing in Tallahassee, where the evil Noles live. Hope y'all give them a lesson in BB.
Here's a good recipe for anyone that loves green beans. I use the frozen "Petit Beans" that you can buy in a big bag at Costco. They are the slim French beans, not sliced but whole. Like the fancy ones you get at expensive restaurants.
Cut up into 1" pieces 3-4 slices of bacon and put into skillet. Turn on heat and start cooking the bacon on medium. Meanwhile, slice one large, preferably sweet, onion lengthwise into slices and add to the bacon in the skillet. Cook until the bacon is mostly done and the onion is softened. Measure out about 4-5 cups of the beans and mix in to the onion-bacon mixture. Add salt to taste and 2T agave. Mix again and pour all into a casserole. Bake, covered, at 350 for about 45 minutes or until done. You don't have to thaw out the beans to make this recipe. I just pour them all in totally frozen. The oven will thaw them out. Cook until you like the texture. Less time for crunchy, more time for "southern" style. Enjoy.
Food today:
B--1 protein shake with strawberries
Lunch--1 turkey sandwich on 1 slice millet bread sliced crosswise, with mayo and lettuce
Snack--1/2 apple, about 20 almonds to stop some cravings that I think the apple brought on. 1/4 oz cheddar cheese.
Dinner--roast chicken with garlic. Green beans.
I just found out that I can get direct TV for $10 per month for some French only channels. I can get the news and a bunch of movies in French. The movie that I rented that we are watching in my class, I can understand it if I read the subtitles, but w/o them, forget it! It's still all greek.
Our church just moved into new digs about 4 miles from where we were. There are all kinds of new neighborhoods around our new building. Last Sunday was our first time in the new building, with a sanctuary big enough to hold about 600. Well, there were so many people there this morning, we've already grown out of our space!! Lots of new visitors. Actually, our building is expandable to 1000, but I was amazed to see all the people.
It is cold here, at least to me. Down in the 40's at night. Brrr. Windy today, which makes it seem colder. But it was bright and sunny, so we were in the yard a little.
Have a great evening, everyone, and see ya on next week's board.
