I absolutely hate when people (not just men because MANY women-even on 3FC-have this same mentality as well) think that there's a magic number on a scale that makes them suddenly unattractive to potential partners. Or that someone who is attracted to them must be weird or have a fetish. I find that so, so offensive. Yes, some people are shallow and care only about looks but that's certainly not everyone. Also, as women, we will never stop hating ourselves and our bodies until we stop perpetuating this myth.
Well.. to be honest, he's sort of right.
"Skinny" is a tricky word to use, but if 1 is their healthiest weight and 10 is their current weight, an overweight girl/woman will always become more attractive to men/boys the closer they get to 1. The only way this is possibly untrue is if they have a tremendous amount of weight to lose and have a lot of excess skin (which WILL tighten up with time) or if, sorry to say it, the boy/man has a weight fetish.
Consider this choice:
Man A, whose personality is everything you want in a guy. Cute face, good teeth, etc. He is 70 pounds overweight.
Man B, whose personality is everything you want in a guy. Cute face, good teeth, etc. He is 10 pounds overweight.
Man A and Man B have the same amount of muscle mass and are the same height.
Shallow or not, the average person will choose Man B. (Edit: Whoops, wrote Man A) The people who wouldn't ARE "weird or have a fetish". Health is attractive.
Think about it. Isn't Mackenzie way more attractive after losing weight? :\
It's not a pleasant truth, but it is true.
