Greetings All.
I can’t help but wonder,
EZ, if calling your dogs by our name isn’t just the teeniest, tiniest....I mean, just maybe a
tad bit...perhaps without realizing it (perhaps)...just a LITTLE sardonic? Nothing more, certainly, than a passing thought on my part, but one that persists, and in the interests of straightforwardness amongst us it’s better for me to say it than it would be to repress my annoyance and end up with an ulcer or something, surely? Could be that nobody else minds a bit, but being the equivalent of a golden retriever isn’t exactly what I had in mind when I voted on our being called “the
golden girls”.
One woman’s opinion is all it is. Doesn’t even really require any response or anything. Just wanted my cards face up on the table, so to speak. Comes from being one of those brittle feminists, no doubt, and having read too many books by Marilyn French in my impressionable youth.
Theresa, I’m hoping your computer problems get solved soon. We miss you so much! I DO hope you’re feeling better? Please check in when you can!

Welcome to you,
Gayle. I think you’ll enjoy us
Golden Girls, and I look forward to getting to know you!
Hmmmm,
Moxie. Horseback riding DOES use SOME muscles in your arms, legs, back, etc. Unfortunately the
horse is doing most of the heavy work, methinks. Now if
you were to carry
it......

????
Meowee-Linda, that “lil binge” of mine probably wiped out whatever progress I’ve made in the past two week’s time!
All FOUR ounces!!!!! I swear, if I’d only realized what I was doing to myself when I was eating all that pure KRAP a year or so ago, I might’ve put the brakes on a little sooner. Especially now that it’s so ridiculously difficult to correct the damage. At this rate, I should hit goal by the time I’m 87. Slow & steady may win the race, but I’d like to see some results in THIS century! Give those cutie pie kittens an extra little hug for me. Oh, I wish we could get some more furbabies!
Karen, I’m
dying looking at your little furkid on the trampoline! I mean, how precious is THAT?
Lyn, DH can wear a mask and it’ll be fine with me. Knowing him, he’ll paint a wolf face on it or something. He painted this really horrible painting of the Minotaur....just awful....I hated it....and one morning he hung it up over my bathroom mirror before I got up. I rolled out of bed, shuffled into the bathroom half asleep (I’m no good at ALL until I have my first cup of coffee), and grabbed my toothbrush and started brushing and THEN happened to glance up into the mirror and saw that awful minotaur staring back at me. I shrieked so loud I think our next door neighbors were afraid we had a domestic violence thing going on over here or something. Jeeze. Nothing could be that bad! I think I could handle the mask!
Good sleuthing,
Peg...sometimes you just have to tell the doctor what’s wrong with you, you know? I figured out that I have Cubital Tunnel Syndrome (like Carpal, but different fingers are affected) and now I get all kinds of fancy padding, wrist-thingies, and even a new ergonomically correct chair at work. Way to go, eh? Of course I would’ve preferred an extended vacay, but those are the breaks. We’re in the middle of a big project, and it would be highly “unprofessional” of me to skip out before it gets finished.
Get BACK here,
Jo-annie!
Inquiring minds need more details than you provided, girl! C’mon back and talk to me!
LindaD, that was a very interesting link about honey & it’s uses. My eldest daughter, who was in training for the Boston Marathon last year - she’s always been very slim & athletic - when she started having numbness in her hands and feet, and shooting pains. Then she had blurred vision - couldn’t see to read or drive. She was ultimately diagnosed with MS, which seems to create havoc with the immune system. She’s susceptible to every bug out there, and it‘s tough because she‘s a family therapist for the local school department, and comes into contact with all kinds of people. So, it was REALLY interesting to read that honey & cinnamon could improve your body’s immune system. Anything is worth a try. So, I was awfully glad to get that link. Thank you,
LindaD.
Hey
Trish! Good to see you back! Don’t be a stranger, now!
Okay, I know I’ve missed a lot of my
Golden Girlies, but my old eyelids are drooping and I’ve got to crash. Hugs to you all, and
keep on keeping on, you know?
TTFN,
Z
