Hi everyone quick check in...

Betsy: I actually went to a different store and bought new cucumbers because the ones I walked out with did not make it home with me lol

Ubee: When I was heavier I would have rather say my butt in front of the tv for the day. Going out in the heat in the middle of summer is one of those things I did only if I had to. I hated summer.

We didn't go to the beach today but went hiking at the lake instead. According to MFP the hiking with a 10 pound backpack on made me burn a little over 1500 calories for the duration of our hike. I even took my shirt off at one point because no one was out there and it was so liberating just being in a sports bra...I got a good bit of sun too. We were going to go to Lowes for the flowers but we were too tired. So tomorrow we are going to get them after we go to the beach. We plan to get up and go a little early. I'm going to pack some canteloupe and cucumbers to snack on while we're there with some drinks. Oh and Ubee my friend PM'd me directions to get there to keep it even more of a secret

I'm pretty pooped guys so I'm headed to bed. Will check in at some point tomorrow with my weigh in stuff. Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow!

We're headed home today. I'm always nervous before a flight.

My spouse embarrassed me yesterday. He introduced me to someone who is looking for a cyber security professional. I'm studying, but I'm not quite a professional, yet. Then my spouse got a book signed for me by one of the top cyber security experts in the world. I was with my spouse, thinking that he was getting the book signed for himself. Nope, he got it signed for me. To make things worse, my spouse said that I'm the smart one in the family. The cyber security expert probably thought that I put my spouse up to it.

My spouse did a capture the flag type event yesterday. After the event, he was telling me how he got four flags, out of 5, and a bonus flag. His teammates couldn't figure out how to compile a program and run it against a remote machine. So I'm told my spouse, "It's just gcc <name of output here> -o <name of source here>, then enter, then ./<name of output file>". Apparently something that basic is impressive to my spouse because he says, "See, you know more than you think that you do."

Just a quick note as I need to get some coffee in me before we head up to the kids. That way we'll have to stop 3 times for a bathroom break for me!

Ubee OK. You're on. Glad I'm so inspiring. Of course, throwing down the gauntlet will put my will power into overdrive. (Thank you!?). If we're competing on staying on plan, then we will be tied throughout the competition. I do have to say that your mojo is working.
Terra Did you get all of your housework type chores done? Sounded like a busy day again for you.
Sam Got to laughing at myself when I read about your taking off your shirt and enjoyed being in your sports bra. I initially had visions of you just letting it all hang out (so to speak!). Hope the beach is a hit today.
Tootsie As an IT professional, I can tell you that I always had great respect for the people who handled the security aspects of our data and data centers. Sounds like your DH was definitely giving you lots of warm fuzzies.

Off to the kids. I think I mentioned I'm taking the meal up. Made a fruit salad, caprese salad, 3 bean salad (actually 2 beans, 1 corn, and 1 pea), hard boiled the eggs and will devil them up there, Italian beef, and baked a cake. I'll eat the salads, a hard boiled egg, some beef and that's it. It will also probably be my only meal today as it takes 3 hours of driving up there (and thus 3 hours back) -- maybe a spinach smoothie tonight.

Have a great day. I'll be thinking of you with love, too, Ubee!

Hi everyone!
Betsy glad I can be so motivating. I aced the wedding last night. Today is going smooth. I love caprese salad. I can not wait for fresh veggies.
Tootsie it sounds like your husband is proud of you. I am far from a rocket scientist but my hubby thinks I am smart. He may be wrong but it is how he sees me.
Sam I look forward to the days when I can enjoy the summer heat. It is 78 right now and it is too warm for me! It sounds like you had a very impressive hike around the lake. That should help the scale move down!

All right I need to get serious about exercise. I may have to eventually add it to my challenge.
Have a healthy day.

Hey Everyone!!

I'm back home after a day out. We didn't go to the beach because my ginger husband got too burned yesterday at the lake lol...But we packed a picnic and went to the park and got a good walk in, but not for near as long. We went to Lowe's but I'm going to wait until next week to get my flowers and things instead. They had some very pretty stuff so we'll be back to get some things and the planters. I want to look around a little because the ones I wanted were cheaper than the ones DH wanted and I don't know if I want to spend $30 a piece on a planter box. We shall see.

Lost .2 pounds this week. I wish I was more but on the bright side of things I've lost inches, include a whole inch in my waist so at least I still seem to be doing something right.

Betsy If I had the perfect boobs I might would have let em all out lol...but I'm glad that wasn't something I thought about because a security guard did drive out there while we were walking haha...I'm sure he would have LOVED to see that!! Hope you enjoy your day with the family today

Ubee Enjoying the summer is one thing that I find so weird because I went so long hating it...I actually look forward to dripping with sweat...What's wrong with me? LOL! Hope you have a great day lovely!!

To everyone else I hope you are enjoying yourselves!!!

Hi everyone.

Tootsie, hope you have a safe flight home. It sounds like your vacation was mostly good with a few not so good occurrences. I know whenever I go away I'm always glad to get home and sleep in my own bed.

Larry, glad you are staying hydrated in that heat and humidity.

Betsy, I hope you enjoyed your day with the family. Dinner sounds yummy. I hope Toby will enjoy Digger's company.

Ubee, congrats to you for acing the wedding. I think some tough love is in order for me, because I am failing miserably this weekend at staying anywhere near plan.

Sam, I'm hoping as I lose weight I learn to tolerate the heat and humidity better than I do now, because right now I really just want to stay inside with the A/C running.

Yesterday I got a lot done in "the room". Not done yet, but getting there. If I had today to work on it I might have finished, But DH's youngest son and family decided to stop by. Luckily they called first so I could do some quick cleaning of the rest of the house and a quick shower. When they left I took DH to Olive Garden for dinner, where I was not as good as I should have been. Tomorrow is a new day and I will be better. I am off now to make my salad for tomorrow's lunch.

I hope you all enjoy your day tomorrow.

Jen190— Sorry to disappoint you, but you have to have made a certain number of postings (20? 25?) before you're allowed to have a tracker. It has to do with making sure spammers don't infect 3 Fat chicks.

Hi, Jen, welcome. I think that you have to have 25 posts before you get a tracker, and you have to be a member for 20 days or so. It seems to take a while at first, then, before you know it, a month has passed.

My wedding anniversary is tomorrow. We will be married for 9 years, and together for 14 years. That's a long time. I can get kind of a hot head sometimes. I really don't mind if he did see the ladies. It's just the amount of money missing and him potentially hiding it from me that bothers me. I didn't find any weird perfume smells, glitter, or lipstick on his clothes though, so maybe he's telling the truth. It's difficult for me to trust. My first long term love cheated on me with someone at his work. My spouse hasn't shown any signs of giving up on us. He's stubbornly refusing to even entertain the idea of divorce.

I'm afraid to step on the scale. I have to know the damage done so that I can go on from here. I was so close to being able to fly without an extender. If I was only 5-10 pounds lighter, I wouldn't have needed an extender. It clicked, but I didn't trust it to stay clicked. I was able to get the armrests down, though, which was awesome.

I hope that everyone is doing well. I'm feeling fairly tired.

Hey all sorry I only seem to make time to post once in a blue moon. I am as usual staying busy and fit but still as fat as ever. I am totally that weirdo that is into fitness (so much so that this weekend I did my regular workout plus met one of my besties at the gym to "train" with her.) and considered going for a walk but got lazy. But I love food too much. I have this week set up to be good. I grilled a bunch of veggies and skinless boneless chicken breasts for the week. And I am going to try shakes for breakfast. I kinda hate the concept but it might be better than skipping breakfast , which is what usually happens because by the time I finish working out in the am I am rushed just to get dressed and make it to work.

Hi silent! It's nice to see you again. Good job on deciding to try something for breakfast. It may keep you at more of an even keel and help to reduce cravings. Some do better without it though. It just depends on the person.

Help. I'm the heading-towards-being-a-senior-citizen lady who is trapped in her house with two overly rambunctious dogs.......and who has lost her mind........and her ability to ever say "no." (That is universal -- friends, family, food.....ah, the 3 Fs in my life!). If I can make it until August 1, I will be ok!

Ubee OK. I made it through the weekend and stayed on plan. The cake was not hard to skip yesterday because the younger grand was sitting next to me, and as I started to cut the cake, he sneezed. Yep -- pretty sure a good portion of it went on the cake. So.......not much interest in having cake for anyone. Was that you sending the will power fairy to me in an odd manner? Anyway, evidently the reward for staying on plan is to have a whoosh. Interesting trip up there as I was whoosing away and stopping about every 30 miles. Took us forever and the men were getting a little irritated. Still seem to be in whoosh mode -- guess I'm lucky I didn't float away. So, are we on for the rest of this week? Doing this day by day or going for a stretch?
Sam Sam, have you thought about going to Goodwill or someplace like that and finding containers that could be repurposed as planters. For instance, the next door neighbor takes the gallon ice cream buckets (they really like ice cream), punches holes in the bottom, and then reuses them as planters. She puts foil or burlap around them when she wants them to look pretty. Kind of a unique way to have planters and not spend a fortune on them. Glad that the security guard didn't catch you out flapping in the wind. Glad you're enjoying the summer weather. Even when I was young and thin, I hated the hot and humid summers.
Cindy Progress! It always feels so good when a project begins to show signs of progress. Sounds like you had a nice day for Father's Day and it's always hard to find something at Olive Garden that's on plan.
Jen190 Welcome to our little group. The sig and tracking everyone explained. Looking for inspiration? You have the right group. We are very supportive and have our two poster children for successful weight loss in Sam and Larry (Sam is a girl as you'll be able to tell from her posts). I keep thinking that if I post every day that some of their weight loss mojo will filter down to me!
Fi Glad to see you post. How's it going? Back up to 0 or even positive numbers yet?
Tootsie Sounds like your DH is a keeper. Of course men think we're smart......we picked them!
SilentArctic Wow -- it's been ages, but so good to have you post again. My love affair with food continues, too, but I'm hoping to break up with it soon. Wish I could say I was fit though -- good for you for doing so much exercising.
Terra Sounds like you're really getting in a lot of exercise lately -- good for you.

I've got to take the car in for service work. It's going to be expensive as it's time to replace the timing belt AND I need new brakes. Ugh! The house needs to be vacuumed, I need to reconcile a couple of credit cards and schedule them for payment, and of course the yard is sitting there waiting to be worked on.

I've got a yen for salad today and have leftovers from yesterday so I won't have to cook much. Hope everyone has a great day!

Hi everyone.
Betsy of course that was me with my magical powers! Was it the method that gave it away? If it is OK with you I would like our challenges to be from Mon. morning to Thurs, morning and starting right away again to carry us back to Mon. morning. I did excellent and am down two pounds! Looks like we both won this one! I have 192 days to lose 29 pounds.
Terra I hope you have a good day too.
Silent soooo good to see you! Good for you for planning and making your meals ahead. Anything new in your world?
tootsie you have done so well. Step on the scale, own it and move forward. We are here for you.
Hi Fi!
Welcome Jen!
Cindy today is a new day. You can do this. We are not getting any younger and the time to stick to it is now.
Sam I bet you could make really nice planter boxes out of old pallet wood. Good job on the .2 down. I am proud of you for staying so consistent.

I got a nap in today while it was raining. My little piece of Heaven.
Have a good day.

Cindy For me getting to be ok with the heat came with time. By the time summer came around last year I had lost I think close to 50 or 60 pounds. It will get easier and more tolerable.

Jen Welcome dear!!!

Tootsie Happy Anniversary!! Trust issues can be hard trust me, I have them too. Maybe he is telling the truth though...Give him the benefit of the doubt until you find something that doesn't add up to what his story is. You'll kill yourself if you don't.

Silent Hey Girly!!! Glad to see you checking in! I give you props for at least working out, that's half the battle. Make slow changes to your diet so you can stick with it, you'll get there hun you're doing good!

Betsy I will most definitely have to check out good will and see what I can find. A lot of times they don't have much gardening stuff at the one I go to. There's always shopping online too I don't eat ice cream so that's a no go for that idea but I like the different ways of using stuff like that. That's one of the reasons why I want to make a pallet bench for outside too...I love the look of pallet furniture and stuff like that. Can't wait for it to be all done I'm so excited!

Ubee I like your idea of using pallet wood for planter boxes! Only thing is I'm not sure how I would hang them off my balcony without messing up the wood banister. I was leaning towards some wire ones so that way I could take some worm clamps and use those to wrap around the banister. I'll figure something out though...Great ideas!!! Thanks for the love...I was hoping I had lost more weight but at least I know I'm still doing good because my measurements are showing that...Slowly but surely we'll all get there!

Today was pretty good. Our printer at work was down pretty much the whole day so I'm glad it wasn't too busy. Came home and did a 20 min HIIT session followed by some leg exercises. I feel like a baby learning to walk all over again lol...DH has band practice, we're getting ready to leave in a minute but I wanted to check in with you guys real quick. Dinner is going to be something simple. Maybe a quick drive thru at chickfila for a side salad and some grilled nuggets. I know I'm going to be too tired to cook by the time I get home.

Have a great day tomorrow everyone!
