Congrats to the losers!

I weighed this morning. No good news after my bad week of eating, I've soared up to 326. I'm looking forward to staying on track and seeing a loss next week.

Catherine, what are you getting your master's in? I have a BS and am seriously considering furthering my education. I've always loved school (I'm a bit of a dork).

Well, went and got groceries for the week, and then took a 30 minute walk! Man...I've already got 65 mins of walking in for the day, and I still have yet to go to the gym! lol

Rochelle-Welcome to chicken coop. I hope you find what you need here.

Story-Don’t get me started on scales. I used to have to use three tied together with a piece of wood. When I finally low enough to get a decent set, I found out I was 40 lbs. heavier than I had thought. Serious bummer. I kicked it and broke my toe. I got even though. I went into a really long plateau, and decided to make my scales sorry. I ran over them with my van in the parking lot while laughing manically. I have threatened my present one with throwing it in front of a bus. I only weigh once a month now. I get a little too angry about it. I’ll let you know in two weeks if you want to come to the scale’s funeral just in case it doesn’t straighten up and has to be destroyed.

Kayley – the hardest part was remembering when paying application fees here to use my Canadian account because they want Canadian dollars, and when paying for transcript fees from the states to use my American account because they don’t want loonies.

Scarlett- I have a BS in Agriculture (majored in Forest Management), a JD, and will in a few months have a BA in Pastoral Ministry. The master’s programs I have to choose from are Masters of Divinity or Masters of Theological Studies. MDiv takes 98 hours and MTS takes 48 hours. Guess which one I’m going to do. They have another Masters program that requires you to have the MDiv first. That’s nutty. It is just because they aren’t allowed to offer PhD’s, so the have realllll advanced Master’s. I’ve always loved taking classes at night, learning new things. It is really important for me because I had a bad head injury. Specifically a Traumatic Brain Injury/Post Concussive Syndrome. When you’ve had that, you are at a greater risk of developing dementia. So to try to limit the risk, I use turmeric everyday and try to keep my mind as active as possible.

Decided to forego the gym tonight, cuz we're both so tired...dunno why. But I got in 65 mins of good cardio walking in today, so I'm okay with it. Going to visit my friend tomorrow, and her complex has a heated pool, so we're probably going to do some good swimming, too.

Hope you're all having a good night!!!

Kayley ~ I totally agree about the NSV of clothes. That is such a great feeling to have my clothes fitting a little looser. I have waited for a few months to be able to wear a couple of football jerseys that my boyfriend bought me and when I tried them on yesterday, I could get them on and wear them comfortably.

Hippie ~ Oh my word. I have gotten close to kicking my scale. I bought the thing before I had WLS and started keeping tabs on my weight then. I even weighed myself the day before I went into the hospital and it showed me that I was still at 400lbs., however, when I got to the hospital I was at 394lbs. As of right now I won't be able to get an accurate weight until I go for the first fill of my band the end of next month. I will be waiting to hear if there is going to have to be a double scale funeral in a couple weeks.

Scarlett: You can do it. I know you can. Come on girl. How Scarlett got her grove back is what we want to be hearing about. lol.

Kymberly: Wooohooo. Congrats at getting under 200! I am sooooo happy for you.

Kayley: Hope you enjoy your new Kia and it is a good car for you!

Michelle: Hugs.

Brenda: Congrats on another -4.5. You are soooo close to being in the 2's. I am thrilled for you! Hopefully I will find out what that feels like soon.

Catherine: Good luck getting all of your things in order for school.

Rochelle: Welcome to our little corner if I haven't welcomed you yet. Glad you are here.

Story: Yippeeee! Congrats on another -1 pound. Way to go.

Hey Ammi, where are you?

I had a great day today. I went to the pool and walked fast in the water for 10 minutes then swam my "in place" laps for 30 minutes followed by weights and situps etc. I went and got a manicure which felt great and looks nice. Gonna jump on the bike for a bit. Hope everyone is doing well and op.

Blessings,
Annie

We're going up to visit my friend Katt before she moves to Vegas at the end of the month. Last time I'll see her for a LONG time, probably...I'm sad. She's one of my VERY best friends, and I'm gonna miss her a LOT. Anyways, we're staying the night up there, so we won't be home Sunday morning, so Andrew & I are going to weigh in tomorrow morning...or rather...today, since it's past midnight here. Heh.

Well, I'm off to catch some sleep, as we're getting up early in the AM, and maybe making it to the gym early...

Annie - Way to go on that exercise, girl!! It's no WONDER the weight is just FALLING off you!

I have been SOOOO MIA and missed some great milestones -- Kymberly, Brenda and Xena!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm in a lapse. I'm eating more than I should and not writing everything down. At first I could convince myself that at least I wasn't eating a lot of unhealthy food, but I've slipped there too.

I thought things would get better after the Symposium I organized was over (oh, it went SOOO well, too!!). But I was so behind in other things (grading especially), that I've been playing catch up all week. I'm just mentally and physically spent.

So. What to do. I know I'm accountable. That cheesecake didn't shove itself down my throat. But I also know that until I have a chance to rest I'm unlikely to regain my equilibrium. So, I am taking the day off from work tomorrow and trying to be nice to myself and help put myself back on track. I won't get a chance to rest, but will go to the gym, grocery shopping, cook food for the week... all the stuff that helped me lose 120 pounds. Weightloss 101.

And I'm going to try to be back on 3fc more. I've barely been here in a week and that may be a factor, too.

I still have a few crazy weeks to get through, but if they are just "normal" crazy, I should be okay... if I'm centered first.

So, hopefully I'll be around a bit more!

Kayley -- Thanks! I hope to be successful. I'm a little scared by how bad habits are creeping back in, but hope I can rein it in. It's good to have you back!

Sally -- This place is awesome. I have learned so much and gotten so much support! WELCOME!!

Annie -- Just wanted to say it sounds like you've been doing well!

Weigh in this morning showed me at 347. That's -3.2 lbs for the week, and 7 since May 7th. I'm very happy. Means I lost a point I can eat every day, too!
