Thanks for not getting mad at me. I'm so sorry about your bf's dad! Thanks again for taking my comments so well...
Oh and while I'm posting, I lost yet another pound today. So I'm down to 160.

Great work everyone! Yes, please stop smoking. I smoked for 11 years and quit cold turkey! I was smoking about 2 packs a day.

Welcome Aerodawn nice to have you. I can talk to my dad if you want him to personalize an upper body routien for you. I'll have to ask how old you are though. I know as well as you do, the olser you get, the harder it is to lose! I'm 26 by the way.

You can start out doing as many lunges as you can. Start out at one end of the house and lunge to the other. Do it 3 times a day. Same thing with sit ups, do these in the morning - 3 sets of as many as you can and leg lifts at night. Lay on your back with your hands under your butox and lift your legs all the way up to a 90 degree angle, and then all the way down. Do as many as you can. The most important thing to remember is to breath through your excercises, don't rush through them.

Talk to y'all later!

Hope you feel better Van!

That is totally normal! You R gaining muscle from working out, not fat! That is why it is good to take your measurements and go by the way your clothes fit. Never trust the scale. You are doing awsome! I have lost 3 inches but only 1 or 2 pounds, and that changes daily. My clothes are fitting looser also so I know I'm losing. Don't be sad, you will continue to lose as long as you stick with it! That is why I suggested taking before and after pics. Just trust the way your clothes fit and keep up the good work!

I hate it to! I love you Pi$$ed off pig! He's perfect! I got on the scale this morning, just because I'm masochistic, and the two pounds I lost yeaterday found me this morning! But my clothes are my best friend, along with my tape measurer.

Talking

Hey Girls!!
Well I agree...........the scale sucks.
I have been thinking about it lately and I don't think I care so much about how much I weigh.....I just want to look good, be toned and fit and feel good in my clothes. I know many women who have beautiful bodies and wear size 11 jeans. Don't worry about the numbers......it's how you feel. When I am able to go out in a bikini and feel comfortable........I know I'm there!!!! I think I have gained some muscle too in my arms because shirts are tighter in the upper arm area. I don't want to acheive big muscles......just toned arms. I'm so excited for the bowflex to come. It'll save me so much time by not having to go to the gym anymore.
Autumn......did you get your treadmill yet?? I was gonna tell ya....do you guys have "PLAY IT AGAIN SPORTS" there in AZ?? They sell good, used equipment. I went and looked and was going to buy an eliptical from them but then decided on the bowflex. Otherwise Walmart has cheaper equipment and I think Scheels does too.

I have been wanting to buy a treadmill, but I don't make much money, and my parents say they can't afford to buy one at the moment. I could save up to buy a cheap one, but my parents won't let me because they think it won't work efficiently. So maybe that is what I should save up for.... a reasonably priced, yet not too cheap, treadmill... Anyways...
I am so frustrated! We bought a new scale yesterday, and it is about 10 pounds different from my other one!!! The one that we had said I weighed 160 last time I weighed myself, and the new one said 169.5!!!!!! So I have no idea which scale to believe! And if I really am 169.5, then I will be incredibly discouraged. Help! How can I tell which scale is correct???

hi everyone!
laura ---- i think most of the scales give different weights. make sure u keep the weight scale on an uncarpetted floor coz the scale usually adds 10 or more pounds wen measured on a carpetted floor!!!
don't worry abt wat the scale says .... i read some where that it takes 2 months for water weight to stabilize wen on a diet. just weigh ur slef once a week or once in 15 days. we all r thinking of weighing are self on the 15th of each month (right gals )
vinny is right .... how we feel abt our selves matters the most...we r eating healthy food, we r working out...we r cahnging r habit of over eating n stuffing our selves, the results will show soon
by the way i have locked my scale in the store room n given the key to my mom (hehehhe) ... i know i sound crazy but i dont want some MACHINE to amke em feel like a looser..wen i actually am working hard!
take care every one

Yeah, this morning I weighed myself (my weighing day is Saturday) and it said 166.5... which means I have gained 6.5 pounds!!!!! But like you said, it might be from all that water and everything. Hopefully... Count me in for weighing on the 15th. Haha about locking your scale up. I should probably do that, because of my urge to step on the scale EVERY morning AND night...haha.

Hi gals-
I do step on the scal every morning and night.... I'm just curious.

Van- No I haven't bought one yet. I can't decide if I want to wait until we move into our new house. I've been going to the gym every day though. I get on one there and set it to weight loss.

That doesn't look how it is supposed to. The second number should be under last month. I don't know why it posted that way. I'm sure you'll figure it out, but if you can't let me know.
