Ok so here's the thing . . . I ate a pint of B&J Mint Oreo. Yes, the whole thing. And it was delish! So that's my trip on the stairs. Not turning it into falling down the staircase or anything, stayed OP for b-fast and will for dinner. <sigh> Hormones, sometimes they just suck me into the food vortex and today . . well, today I let myself go there. btw, did I mention I'm also exhausted? Blarg.

It's TTOM here too, last night I opened the bag of Reese's Peanut Butter Chips that were supposed to go into the Christmas Cookies I have yet to bake for the office. But, I only ate two handfuls and put the bag up!

Hi Chicks It's been over a week since I last posted here MIA, sooo much is going on during the holidays. After I eat 'like a starving puppy-dog'; I discpline myself for the next 2 days; I basically only drink fluid/meals (soups & protein drinks) to get rid of the salt & fat I ate on my 'stupid' days.
Now I am back to the basics that took off my 24# in a year...Keeping a food Log of what I eat (If you bite it...Write it...)& recording my weight daily when I wake-up & do it nude, clothes do weigh differently (flannel pjs, night shirt, etc.) My other thing, count only all calories, fat, fiber & protein in my food To Keep it Simple & Manage for me. My 3rd & last thing I did was choose to be active: walk, exercise or lift hand wts for 5 minutes every time I eat anything (meals, snacks, etc.); this become a habit that you will enjoy I decided after my WI @ my TOPS club that I am going to reach my Valentine's goal & be 141# again; like I weighed 4 years ago this time I Will Eat Wisely & Use the choosemyplate.gov as my role model after I reach my goal to maintain my weight.
I Realllly Hope that I have given some support to you girls with what I'm dealing with also.
NoMoreKnit I used to do just what u did w the Reese's chips, I also made a instant toffee bar recipe that takes < 10 minutes. Buttt, those cravings are caused by stress or deficient Protein which diatician's have proven. To stop my cravings, I eat some unsalted nuts & sip cocoa, hot tea, etc & have gum handy & this works, I do have a glass of wine in a pretty glass to treat myself special if I have been a 'Healthy eater' all day & when I have a 2# loss I buy myself a $10 gift that week.

Merry Christmas Chicks, Dee

Did I not post in here today? I thought I did.

Much, much, much better day today. Totally OP. Exercise was a little light . . I"m trying new videos on the On Demand channel and some are hits, some are misses. Completely zonked last night ... sleep works wonders ... and am filled up with ibuprofen. Thank God for ibuprofen! lol

Although about an hour ago I swallowed and . . . ewww, the right side of my throat and my right Eustachian tube hurts. I better not be getting sick.

miniD ... yup, after an off day, or meal, I try to just get right back on plan. I can't think 'oh I ate such and such, may as well just keep eating'. That just makes it worse. And exercising a little more for a few days after helps too.

NoMoreKnit ... kudos for putting the bag back! You did way better than me. Sometimes I can do that . . just have a taste or a bit but . . .well, sometimes I can't.

Hope everyone is doing ok. I'm still hoping to meet my Christmas goal of 5 lbs. down and my December goal of 6 lbs. down. We shall see . . . .

Sorry I haven't been here all week ladies. I'm waiting to find out whether my procedures worked, and I'm just having a really tough time. It's stressful and emotional, and on top of that the hormones are making me very moody. I'll hopefully have my head on straight again soon and can get back to regular posting shortly. In the meantime, I hope everyone is doing well and staying strong. You will be so happy at the start of January to have fought for these losses in December!

Felt awful last night, ate stupid dinner (canned soup) which just made me hungry later on and I lacked the energy to stay OP. I'm hoping to just break even this week on the scale. Might wait until Monday to get weighed to try and undo some of the damage. Damn it!

Am feeling better today (well, so far). Am eating b-fast then am off to exercise because I missed some days earlier in the week. Planning on staying OP . . . no, determined to stay OP today.

eta: Post dinner I'm sitting at 1200 cals today. Yes!

Today is Day 17 of my weight loss stall (163/164). Tomorrow is my "official" weekly weigh in, I hope the scale says one pound less (162) than last Monday, but we shall see. Half way through the month, I think that my 155 goal is unrealistic at this point. I'm now hoping for 159. Just to escape the 160's before the new year would make me so happy.

I've been trying to teach myself to count (or at least estimate) calories without making myself neurotic, or leading myself into bad habits. Every once in awhile I add up the calories for a single meal, or for a morning or afternoon and see how my head handles it.

Yesterday we went out for burgers and fries (and a glass of wine, which I chose to finish instead of my burger), then after we got home, I had a half of a truffle-filled dried fig. Between the alcohol and the chocolate, I wanted to devour everything in sight, and ended up nibbling on some sausage and cheddar.

This morning I wanted coffee, but not breakfast, because I woke up feeling fuller than I went to sleep. Out of curiosity I added last night up. "Oh, I'm probably not hungry because I ate 1200 calories between dinner and post-dinner snacks last night!"

My reaction was not "OMG, I have to eat -nothing- today. I should go buy some vegetables with no calories to eat!" So that's a pretty good victory. And, even with all the salt and increased carbs last night (mmmm, salty-delicious sweet potato fries) - the scale didn't budge between yesterday and this morning.

I just realized I've lost 5.2 of the 8lb I wanted to lose in December, so all-in-all, it's a darn good week for me!

Woot for finally seeing the scale give a bit!
I weighed in this morning at 206, which is over half a pound down from the weight I stalled at before the plateau of 207/208. Stepping back a bit and relaxing helped so I'm hoping the same thing works this week. I would so love to get below 205, then I feel like I could put this whole nasty business behind me.

Whoo hoo! WTG, Goldfrost!

It's so frustrating when you're OP and doing all the right things and that dang scale just stubbornly remains the same.

Congrats on your movement!

Hope every one is having a great week. I am stalled at the scale, but that is okay as I have not been working real hard at it this week. Finally got some walking in yesterday and will again this afternoon. Weather has been crappy, so haven't been able to get out like I want. Resorted to doing my walk at the school yesterday and will do so again today.
