Super cute dress! You must feel so good!

I could use some food advice! After over a month of searching, I finally found some canned soy beans. I was totally excited because one of the things I miss most is beans (rice & beans was a staple in my pre-IP diet). So... now that I have them, what do I do with them? Do I use them just like ordinary black beans? Help please! (I feel so stupid)

I just started IP phase 1 and I am wondering if MIRACLE NOODLES are allowed on phase 1 since its all zero carbs, sugar, fat, etc.....

I called and asked my doc office (who put me on this program) and they had never heard of it and said I shouldn't have it.

I am also wondering how did you start on this program, do u go to an actual IP center? My doc told me about it but honestly I don't think they are too familiar with the program, considering I am her 1st patient on it and they just went to a seminar on it. I am actually worried that I am not doing Phase 1 correctly and I am not sure how long you actually stay on it.....

Any advice would be appreciated. I am just hoping IP really works for me.

Default Hi all

Happy Saturday night all, Well 3 weeks in and Ive lost 12 lbs - not bad I suppose. Only 2.6 this week though. I had some wine with a friend who was visiting last weekend and had some regular salad dressing.

She was celebrating and it was really really hard not to partake. Im kinda bummed about the mediocre loss though. Also, Im still having a hard time drinking enough water. I find I can go for fairly long periods during the day without eating/drinking much (especially if I am busy) and then get hungry at night.

Oh well, chin up I suppose - 12 lbs is not bad for 3 weeks!!

My advise would be to definitely go to an IP center - they can help you with all the details and specifics of the plan. I do think Miracle noodles are allowed, but someone on here more experienced than me can tell you for sure.

Im surprised how well its worked for me so far - 12 lbs in 3 weeks. And if you read the messages on these boards, there are some people who have lost a ton of weight. Stick to it and Im sure you will see some changes!!

You look great in that very cute dress! What I love most though, is how proud you look wearing it!

Quick stop in before I head to the airport-down (unofficially) another 2.7. I have my last official WI May 31 before I go away for 6 weeks. Now....off to St Louis!!

Half the protein for lunch...I can't believe I never thought of that. I am *so* going to try it.

I'm sorry that I can't help you with your pictures. Saturday was another 'poopy' day (literally). I'm quite perplexed about getting so sick intestinally. I'm wondering if it was the soy. I'm going to be kind to myself and not have anything with any soy in it. Then... I'll try one and see what happens. At least I seem to be feeling better today but I've not put anything in my stomach yet. (I take Nexium and have to wait an hour afterwards before anything).

Your messages are always so uplifting. I look forward to reading you. Have a wonderful Sunday.

I am trying by taking 2 potassium pills and upping my salt/water intake to see if that works, but does anyone have any other suggestions?

And this may be a bit of TMI but that was the most painful plane ride of my life sooooo gassy I probably could have propelled the plane there myself
I am sure we got in 33 minutes early because of me. I did a no no and stepped on the scale and have stayed the same weight for a few days.. sigh.. reasons for not weighing oneself daily.
I have no suggestions but I'm so sorry to learn of your family emergency and how it is affecting you physically. I hope you start feeling better soon.

As a NSV, after the first bathing suit I tried, the saleslady replied: "Oooh! That is nice on you. It is very sexy!" Sexy?!?! Me?!?! Really?!?!

When I got home, I modeled them all for DH and the kids and DH agrees with the saleslady!

I think I am turning into a different person!

Never before has bathing suit shopping been fun! I can see how this can be dangerous...
You are the same beautiful person you have always been. It's just now others are noticing. Ooooo LA LA Susie Bee! You have become a HOTTIE!!! Congratulations! Your shopping experience sounds wonderful and the bathing suits sound beautiful! Look at how far you've come! WOW... DOUBLE WOW!

I so enjoy reading your messages. Have a wonderful day!

My doctor put me on this diet, too. I received very little instruction other than the phase 1 diet sheet. I decided to look up Ideal Protein in my city and found a couple of clinics. Then... lo and behold.. our own JudoGirl, who lives in my city, left a message that she is opening her own clinic in the same city where I live! So... since I know she has been successful, I'm going to her Grand Opening on the 31st of this month. I suggest that you get some professional information regarding this program. Also, go to the Ideal Protein website and read, read, read. Hope this helps.

OH MY GOODNESS!! Do you realize how much 12 lbs is? To average 4 pounds a week is WONDERFUL!!! Take it from me... my average is 2-2.5 pounds a week and I've got a ton of weight to lose. Be happy with every little success. You will notice inches before you notice weight loss. Enjoy the journey!

Thanks for that! You're right - 12 lbs is good. I guess I was looking at what some people are losing in the first couple weeks and comparing myself.

Thank you though, this is just the encouragement I need to keep OP.

Hey Browneyes, I felt like that last week and I wasn't sure what was going on either. I hadn't changed anything on the diet and had been at the washroom way too many times. Just so you know, it lasted about 2 days for me and then all of a sudden it just went away. I hope you feel better soon and it all gets back to normal.
