For the reunion, I have two different ones I've been flipping between. One is silver and one is blue. The blue is a little snugger fit, halter top, that ruched fabric. The silver has a more flowy skirt, wide straps. Both do a great job of showing off the work I've done on my arms and shoulders. I wonder if the blue looks a little too young, but it is the current front runner.

I can't make my pictures link for some reason, even though I can see them on my phone... Darnit. I'm going to work on that.

Okay, little bitty pictures, but better to disguise the bad hair....

This is the current front runner... even with the unfortunate tan lines.

Ooooo vavoom! That dress is great.

EZbar ... http://hardgainerworkoutroutine.com/ ... I think it saves some forearm strain.

Doesn't quite feel like home yet but I'll get there. Most of my focus has been on getting into a routine here. The house is lovely, but I do miss my friends. Fortunately, one of them is coming with her family in a few weeks. It really feels more like I'm just on vacation or that I'll be back in Columbus in less than five years. I don't know why I feel that way, but even when I left it just seemed like I would be gone for a short while, have the experience, and then return. We'll see if that actually develops. Although, with that in mind, I am going to extract as much as I can from this experience.

Sorry it rained and you couldn't paint today. The handles sound like a great project though. How sweet that the little guy wants his own set. Love it! Kids really get so excited when they can model our behavior. He's so lucky to be surrounded by all of you.

Thanks for the thoughts on the dress guys! I have to say, I would not be where I am today if it hadn't been for you guys in this thread. I know I haven't been a great poster lately, or very supportive to our new thread folks, and I'm sorry for that. I remember being nervous about the weights and you guys were all so helpful, and today I wore size 2 pants at 129 pounds, which is a few pounds above goal and two full sizes below my size the day I reached goal. I can squat 130 pounds, I can touch my toes without bending my knees, I can almost do a pullup again, I can do 100 real pushups, and I feel crazy strong. And, I did a solid hour of power yoga without a flicker, and I wouldn't have been able to do that without the support I got here. Lydia, Mel, Cheryl, Alena, Pat, Kim, Sacha, DePalma (how is he, haven't seen him in a while?) and so many others... Thanks so much - you guys are the reason I can wear the blue dress and feel comfortable in it. Thanks.

So, one glass of wine and an upcoming reunion and I get all sentimental.

Lydia - I'm glad you have a friend coming to visit soon! Did you settle into the new gym?

Susan - thanks for the EZBar link, makes sense. The bar for my pulldowns & rows looks like that - I wondered why. (I have a Weider home gym in my garage with a squat cage.)

Mel - sorry about the flight delay!

to everyone! Have a good evening!

I had two lovely letters next to my name today, "Rx". I also had the slowest time of the day (although there was a class after mine...)

We did a snatch workout. I was practicing form so did 53 lbs max.

Then the real workout was...
3 rounds of
25 Goblet squats (12kg)
10 burpees
25 KB swings (12kg)
10 burpees

Total time was 19:44 and I was exhausted.

After that, we were supposed to do 30 med ball clean/box jumps but I do box step-ups. So I did my first med ball clean and put my foot on the box but I couldn't step up. My legs just couldn't do it. So I just did med ball cleans.

Tomorrow is Murph... I hate running.

Shannon, I think it's because where I live doctors are not allowed to disclose the gender of unborn children. Some cultures choose not to carry certian genders to term and we are extremely multicultural where I live. A lot of people go over to the US to find out. She's from England and I guess in the past she used to tell people but the found she is not allowed to either. She did say I wouldn't be able to share clothes with my first child and winked, so I'll assume that means it's a boy!

And you look great in that dress! Especially in the boob area! I'm a big chested girl and I find that as long as my boobs look fantastic not much else seems to matter haha.

Lydia, I'm so nervous. It's gonna cost a ton of money and I've never lived anywhere else. I have seriouslly lived on the same bus route for my whole life, the farthest places being about 14 blocks apart. Life will be better if we can move, Dylan can be a part of his daughters life more, and the cost of living is much lower so we could stop struggling. I make 20 bucks an hour and he makes 26 and we struggle sometimes, that's ridiculous! Our rent is 1350 and up North we could get a full house for 850 to rent. It would be easier for us to start a family too

jamsk8r, I just gotta get through it and then I'll be fine. It's amazing how you just don't crave it after a certian amount of time. I got back into the olives though, and to counteract the salt I'm making sure I drink lots of water tonight. I also had a good work out so I hope my sweat flushes out the grossness quicker haha.

Shannon, you look fantastic, as the others have said. I hope you have a great time. Next weekend, DH and I are going to a reunion of the classes that graduated from high school in the 50's and 60's. I have a good friend from the class one year ahead of me (1963) who was a skinny, lanky guy who played in the band. He is now a HUNK. Most people haven't seen him in decades but I have and we've exchanged pics. I can hardly wait to see the looks on people's faces, and I bet that YOU get some looks too. Enjoy it.

Lydia, I know the feelings of being relocated. I've been away from Toronto for 9 months now and I really am beginning to miss my close friends. It just takes time and you really can't replace friends you've known for decades. At least I have my family, whom I didn't have in close proximity for over 30 years.

Oh yes, Texas and spurs

I'm kinda looking forward to relocating and making new friends and having new experiences. Because I've never left this area, I still see people around that I remember from preschool! I'm not friends with anyone from high school anymore (I didn't want to deal with drama and gossip and once I graduated I went out and made more mature friends), and all my friends seem to be transitioning right now so that's why I feel ready to move.

Dylan and I's best friends are having a baby any day now. We hardly see them because they are so busy. Our other friends are moving to Brazil because the wife is from there and won't have children until being back home. Similar stories with everyone else.

Another reason I want to move is I need an excuse to quit this job. I just want to start over and do everything fresh!

Rhonda - I hope you enjoy your reunion, too! And im glad you have family around - mine are a few hours away, which is how I like it most of the time.

Stephanie - I had to get away from where I grew up, too. In so different now - I don't fit in small Georgia town anymore. Makes it hard for conversation. What job do you have now that you want to leave? Do you know what you want to do once you move?

Good day everyone!

Shannon, you look hot in that dress. Definitely go for it!

Lydia, thanks. I'll never understand why people wait until September to get these outdoor painting projects done. I'll be glad for the income, though, if the rain will just give me a break. Hope you settle in soon, and enjoy the experience.

Nelie, congrats on the Rx! That's always an accomplishment to be proud of!

Better get off here. Going to give the skies the eyeball check. Maybe I can squeeze this painting job in this morning before the rains come. to all!

Rhonda - I graduated in 1962 in Massachusetts, and I went only to my 5th year reunion! They had a 25th, but since I hadn't seen or kept in touch with anyone it seemed pointless to go. It was a little town, and my mother had lived there all her life - many of my classmates were the kids of her classmates, and I had some of the same teachers too! Ack! I had to get out of there!

Shannon - love the dress!

Still battling this cold and the ickiness of the medication (not as bad though), plus I have crabby DH today. I'm laying low for all those reasons.

You know these letters ... Rx? How do you say it? I think it means 'prescription'.

Thanks, All.

Great dress, Shannon.

We have a painting job too, Cheryl, but the weather never really lets up for long enough.

Legs today. I am crawling about now.
