rainbow, Glad that the -100 cal adjustment is going smoothly. I aim for about 1350 cal/day but will always add an extra 100-200 if I'm working out that day. I hear you on the red hair! For the last 2 years I have had what looked like a dark dark brown with a purple undertone. I loved it! But then I started getting bored lately so have been progressing lighter in the red tones. By the summer I want to have a red/copper colour with blondish/copperish highlights. In my head it looks good.

lol I bet you look great! And btw, when I'm desperate and am forced to stop for something, I tend to go for a sandwich shop and try to control as much as I can. Even if it ends up being just a small turkey on brown with mustard. It's boring but I don't feel bad about it.
gnat, between weight lost and inches lost, it looks like whatever you're doing is working!

Is North Carolina a vacation?
Laneyy, Yay to ppl noticing!!! I have not been graced with a large chest. In fact, it's the first place I'm losing. I'm crossing fingers that I don't fall from C to a B.
jmko, keep chugging!
sun, omg that's horrible! Well, enjoy the room cleaning services at least. Hope you get back into your own home soon.
SMS, I've tried turkey too, but I always come back to the chicken. That sudden sickness sounds awful! Hope you're feeling much better today! Don't let that derail you for the coming days though. Stay hydrated for sure!
I have great news! I had my second week of measurements and have lost a total of 2 1/8"! I was up in my arms and knee area which I was anticipating because of muscles waking up and retaining water to repair. BUT, I've lost 1" from my waist area below my bellybutton, and 1" from my chest (ribcage)!

My DH just used it as reinforcement that everything has to be working no matter whether I can see it or not. I'm losing from the exact places that I know I lose first. It always goes top down: bust, ribcage, waist, arms, and maybe one day my hips and thighs. I lost 1/4" from my hips and absolutely nothing from my thighs.
Trust me everyone when I say that measurements are an absolute MUST when you get to the point that weightloss seems to have slowed to a drunken crawl. I've felt pretty ick about my weight all this time as I haven't appreciated my weight loss over the last 5 weeks as much as I should. But how much can I legitimately expect when I'm a few pounds from a normal BMI, I don't workout as consistent as I'd like to (2-3 times per week instead of 4-5), and I still enjoy my social drinks on the weekends *facepalm*. So I'll label this a successful week. Now on to the next.
btw, I haven't changed my ticker to 186 lbs like what I mentioned from Monday's weigh in because I checked my own scale after breakfast and was a firm 183. So I'll stick to that for now. And as long as that is true, then I've actually lost 5.8 lbs in 5 weeks.
