That's a healthy outlook. Although the scale tends to frustrate me when it doesn't move too quickly, I have to continuously
keep reminding myself that I am not doing this to
lose weight, I am doing it to
lose fat and build muscle, become leaner. The scale may become manic on me, but as long as the inches continue to come off, I am cool. Someone like yourself who is 5'8 may weigh more and be in a smaller size, but may have more muscle, less fat.....same goes for all of us when we compare ourselves to others who are the same height.
I hope no one takes the comparisons to heart when seeing others who are their height. A few things factor into the differences.
