There was a discussion on people who kill threads, people who hear the deafening silence of no new replies after they have replied and then a Threadkiller game thread was born. Basically, you try to avoid being the 500th poster or, alternatively, try to be the 500th poster and ultimately the crowned threadkiller.
well, whatever this threadkiller business is, I sure enjoyed reading your posts. I read every single one of them, and the randomness of how the conversation flows is hysterical! wonder if I am 500!
You can look in the upper right hand corner of the post (once it's posted) and see what number it is. The moderators lock threads when they're at about 500 posts because the site operates best with threads smaller than that size.
So this post is #79 and Ducky's was #78
421 to go

Reason: To see the post numbers and add them.
Operator - Now I have the image of the bottom of my vaccum. Thanks....yuck! 2 cats, 1 dog, 3 kids feet, and babysitting kids. The list is growing and grossing me out...I guess this is why I clean my rugs often! LOL
Okay, so, who was the Threadkiller last time? I dropped out after awhile because I forgot about the thread, .
Bill posted the 500th, but was disqualified for double posting.
Operator bracketed Bill so she was highest without going over and first after Bill.
Meg, the Moderator, was the last poster as she locked the thread. So that doesn't count as she could always be the last one.
Bargoo was the last poster before Meg locked the thread.
And . . .there really wasn't a threadkiller, because the topic got continued in a new thread with people continuing the themes.
This is the thread that never ends....
It just goes on and on my friends...
