Hello--- I thought since there are a few people here talking about Colorado and the Aspens I would share a few pictures we took last week up around Cripple Creek. The picture with the mine there is the Molly Kathleen. Just felt like sharing with all of you.

I was raised in Minnesota , loved the fall with the beautiful colored leaves. One thing I really miss is the smell of burning leaves, don't suppose they do that anymore due to environmental concerns.

I've lived in Florida so long now that I actually see the trees change color here. Recent northerners don't really see it.
The oranges in the backyard are starting to show color!!

Wow! Thanks for the great picture, Karen~truly beautiful! We get nice fall colors, but not like that!
Yes, burning leaves is reminiscent of fall. People in the country here burn leaves, but most cities have a prohibition because of air pollution.

Karen,
My Dad's family is from Missouri, Gallatin. I love fried green tomatoes and blackeyed peas because my Dad was from the South. Oh and of course, greens. Ham with redeye gravy. Pecan pie. Biscuits and gravy. Needless to say, I 've had to learn some new eating habits and eat those foods rarely. Actually, I eat greens all the time and blackeyed peas, too.
