khumphrey, doesn't that make you feel so powerful when you say no to all that candy? It gets easier the more you do it, too.
Lambie, sorry to hear about your Dane. I hope he recovers quickly. But congratualtions on your weight loss!
I've got a question for all of you: Do you plan on going off your diet on Thanksgiving day?
For me, I have been on some type of plan religiously, with no cheats, since July 25th of this year. But on Thanksgiving I've decided to allow myself a scheduled cheat meal. I am going to try my best not to become a crazy woman, though. I don't think it'll be too hard, though, because it seems like I can barely eat anthing nowadays without feeling Thanksgiving stuffed...and I've talking small meals. So I'll probably have a healthy small breakfast, maybe a protein snack a few hours later and take a spoonful of each Thanksgiving item during dinner. I wait all year long for pumpkin pie, though, not having any any other day of the year. So I will have a small slice of that and my pumpkin cheesecake.
I feel very confident that this planned cheat meal will not undo my diet nor my willpower to get back on plan the following day. But I'll be damned if I'm going to sit there nibbling on a salad and dry turkey while everyone around me feasts their faces.

Like I said, I don't plan on going crazy and doubt I even can given my ever decreasing appetite. I just want to eat like a "normal" person that day.
What about all of you?
