Default Count Me In!

Hi Everyone!

Boy you gals were busy in here today! I definitely want to be part of our "Biggest Loser" competition. I weighed in today and dropped .6 lbs. Alittle is definitely better than nothing I guess, but I was disappointed. I need to be more strict with myself and stop all the little extras I manage to get into my mouth . Maybe I should wear a muzzle???

Well anyway my starting weight is 222.4. Count me in!

I always read your comments about the TV show "Biggest Loser" and I really need to tune in, but I am always forgetting about it. Maybe I can catch the next show. It could be motivating to watch. Lord knows I need the motivation!

Star - I liked the idea about the rubberbands on the wrist for keeping track of the water I drink in a day. Thanks for sharing!

My Mother and Sister are coming to visit me a week from Thursday and I would love to be 10-15 lbs. down from the starting weight at LAWL. That would put me between 218.2 - 213.2. Maybe I should get on the treadmill today... Maybe I can squeeze it in right now...

Talk to you all later!

Diane

Good morning all.

Sammy, I think what you and I saw as far as being up is a temporary gain and it will be off in a day or two. I didn't even pig out like I could have, but gained just the same.

Okay, I have to admit this and get it off my chest. My DH and I went to the store for a snack on Saturday. I picked out Perry's Sugar Free/Fat Free Chocolate ice cream (sold in a pint). He picked out a 1/2 gallon of Edy's Cinnamon ice cream with brown sugar swirls and chucks of gingerbread (he can't eat chocolate or nuts). Normally I wouldn't even have looked at it in fear of going overboard. Well, one taste did me in. I had to have a bowl of it. The only saving grace to the whole thing is that he expected some to be left when he went for his 3rd bowl. TG for that. It was really yummy, and DH said that he was having it again on Christmas Day as snack.

Gotta run, Sy

good morning, chickies!

Sy - could your gain be because of the ice cream? The sugar would probably make me retain water. I find the same thing with alcohol, which is why I haven't had any since I started OP. I also haven't had any real icecream, because it is truly my downfall.

Sammy - on the swan last night, one of the contestants was on a liquid diet for FIVE weeks because she had her mouth completely redone. I think this is the one that Star met.

Diane - .6 is great after a holiday weekend. I just stayed the same from Friday.

Does anyone else have mini goals? I'd really like to be at 190 by the end of January - although it is getting closer and closer. . .May have to resort to the dreaded 2DTO this weekend.

Hope everyone has a great POP day!
((hugs))

Default Morning Chicks

Sammy - I'll have a cup of coffee with ya. To answer your question about the holiday weight gain being temporary? Yes, when you gain it rather quickly, it comes off the same way. Your body does not have time to adjust to it (becuz you go back OP) So your fine, it will be off soon. The counslors at the center are from another planet if they think "eating normal" on Thanksgiving isn't a given They make me really p.o'd sometimes, I'd like to slap them back into reality

Julie - All the hair on the Swan? Well when Lorraine came in the beauty salon she said she had extensions, as I suppose they all do. Last night her boobs looked huge and really fake. I suppose not one contestant escapes without a boob job. The other contestant didn't even look like the same person, that would be pretty strange. Another thing, they don't show them right after surgery, when we see them in recovery, it is actually atleast a week or more after the surgery. Lorraine went from a size 12 to a 6,or so she said. Oh and about "mini goals" yes, mine is to get to 150 before they drop me off at the nursing home (I want to run the gym there, DH has the "juice" bar)

Sy - Sugar Free/Fat Free Ice Cream is a holiday treat, it won't kill ya. If you think that is a big sin - you are a better chick than me I've gone thru the same thing with the counslors, they always gasp even with .2 gain (again they aren't human).

Britt - I have the numbers on us for the Biggest Loser also, that way we can double check the numbers before the is awarded....

Diane - By all means girl, get on that it can only help and it really does.......Good luck with staying OP with company. But since they know your getting married, they will probably not expect you to eat alot

Okay, so I didn't exercise this morning. Somehow over the weekend I hurt my lower back. I can't tell you how I did it But it wasn't by

HUGS.......

HI chicks,

Just checking in.

Star, thanks for the info on the hair - I thought it was something like that, since all of them have totally different hair.

Also, wondered about the boobs since all of them look awfully perky. Even the MC/host is always wearing dresses that show hers off to advantage.

Also, Star, have you figured out a way to have the SF/FF ice cream as only a treat? I'm afraid to bring it over the threshold.

BTW, chicks, just to make you jealous about the new program, you can have NUTS for your fat. I enjoyed by 10 cashews last night. I'm looking forward to having us all on the same page.

Julie -
I'm glad you hang with me thru the day...makes the work day go faster....lol
Well as for the FF/SF Ice Cream - we can have Frozen Yogurt and so I count that as the same, I don't have my book, but isn't it a starch or dairy? I usually get the frozen yogurt, but not too often as I would abuse it.......Sometimes when I have a treat, I will skip my morning and/or afternoon Lites......
Yeah the Swan host was showing half her boobs last night. They were very modest ones, but still out there for the public to see.......

Hey Chicks!

Just got back from school and it is lightly snowing here! Not quite ready for this full fledged winter thing!!!

School was boring as usual! I had a limited starch for breakfast! I ate oatmeal and it tasted so dang good! Can't wait to get the new plan! Kristi have they mentioned it at your center yet? Nothing at mine on Monday but hopefully soon!

Star-Maybe you should use a back supporter next time you become acrobatic! He's supposed to hold you up not the other way around!!! So glad to hear that little insight about the water weight gain, I had not heard that before!

You guys and all the talk about ice cream and it is so dang cold here I want soup! Has anyone tried LSodium Campbell's (if there is such a thing) and gotten away with it? How can soup not be on plan, what did they think we all lived in Hawaii? Well I am starving so I am debating between PBJ and leftover turkey sandwiches!!! Teeth are still pretty sore so I may have to put off the turkey until tomorrow!
Skinny vibes to all for wi!!

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

How are we all doing?!?!?!? Actually I know how you are, I've read back through SIXTEEN PAGES of posts to get all caught up!

Gosh, it was nice seeing my name pop up every once in a while even while I was ignoring all of you, lol!

I've been BAD BAD BAD BAD BAD these last three weeks or so. Won't go into all the gory details, but the end result is I've totally flushed my first 3 months of LAWL down the drain and I'm nearly back to my starting weight.

BUT, I've had enough of living the "good" (bad?) life, and I'm physically and MENTALLY ready to give this another shot. Count me in for Biggest Loser this week - starting weight 211.4.

Oh, also, I'm finally dragging DH along with me - we made a deal! He had lost some weight since I started LAWL, just because there wasn't as much junk food around to eat, and he's pretty much undone all his progress right along with me. So the two of us each picked a goal of pounds to lose by 1/1 (10 for me, 15 for him) and if we succeed we are going to buy each other presents. Of course, if only one of us reaches goal, only one of us gets a present! I should have done this way back when I started, because it's shameful how motivated I am by the thought of "prizes," but it just wasn't the same to promise MYSELF something, and it didn't seem right to ASK my hubby to buy me something!

Anyway, here I am! I called my center and put myself on Hold until the first of the year - the girl on the phone tried to argue with me about it (can you call in? check in at another center? blah blah blah), but I finally laid down the law, and she said if there was any problem the manager would call me...no call so far - and if I get back to my last weigh-in weight before then (hopefully will!) then I'll go back. DH is not going strictly OP, I think, but is mostly cutting out the soda and crackers and stuff that has crept back into our kitchen over the last couple weeks, and we are going to focus on cooking again, and actually EATING the veggies we buy, instead of glancing at them guiltily whenever we open the fridge, until they go gross. !!!

Oh, BTW, I reported that my starting weight for LAWL Loser is 211.4 - and after eating OP for ONE DAY (yesterday), I'm already showing a loss of .4. Wheeee!

Make it a GREAT day!!!

Hi everyone:

I have to watch the Biggest Losers which I think just started but you all come first.

Fiona: Nice you see you back and you really do seem motivated now. Good luck and I'm hoping you get the 'prize' on 1/1/05. I'm rooting for you!

Starr, if would have been great if I stopped at the SF-FF Perry's ice-cream, but after mine was gone, I had to try what DH purchased. His was much better than what I got. Okay, the guilt if fading and I'm trying to be POP until the next event on Dec 18th.

I will weight-in again on Friday on my way home from work, so hopefully the damage I did over the weekend will be gone.

Sammy - how are the teeth feeling since your braces were tightened? Still sore?

Kristi: How are things going on maintenance?

I asked my center and we are suppose to get the new plan starting next Monday. Can't wait to see all the new stuff and actually be allowed to write it down in the diary without fear of being scolded. Hey, but they keep me honest with myself, isn't that what I paid for? Okay, overall, the people at my center are not bad at all. Most are pretty nice.

Britt, thanks for keeping track of all of us in the competition.

Julie: Explain your secret in only eatting 10 nuts? I'll have to buy 10 in the bulk section of the grocery store in order for my to stay honest with the nuts. Can't wait to see the new plan.

Have a good evening, I have to go and check out how the show is doing. I can't remember the guys names last week that got kicked off, but I was sure happy to see him leave.

Hugs,

Sy

Default It's Snowing! YIPPEE!

Hey Everyone!

It's snowing in Wisconsin! YIPPEE! I do love the snow, but I really hate shoveling the sidewalks...but that is good exercise! (he sort of looks like a dancing snowman).

Sammy - I also was wondering about the soup and according to my center they are saying NO to all canned soups. I even pleaded with them about watering the soup down, but they said the only soup that is on plan is the soup you can make yourself. They recommended using Herbox bouilion (chicken or beef) because it has a lot less sodium than regular soup bouilions. I don't know about you, but I'm not a soup maker so I might just try to find a really low sodium can of soup and water it down a few times. It will probably be yucky...wont know til I try it!

I WI tomorrow and I'm actually looking forward to it...what's wrong with me??? I actually have been really good these last few days. We'll see...

Hi Fiona! I'm going to have a talk with my hubby-2-be about giving me a present when I reach my goal. what a great idea! Maybe he'll let me pick it out and that way I know it's something I really want and will work harder to get it! Thanks for the idea!

Well I did get to watch bits and pieces of the "Biggest Loser" tonight finally, but it's on the same time as that new "Gilligan's Island" reality show and I had to watch that too. I get so addicted!!!

Well I better get off to bed. Talk to you all later!

Diane

Hey chicks,
Sorry, I haven't posted in a while, but I have been slammed at work. Everyone looks like they are doing great!
My center hasn't said anything about a new plan.
I have to go w/i today and I feel so bad because I have not written anything down in my diary since Saturday.
I guess I will have to start making things up.
I think my w/i will be the same though. We'll see.

chat with ya later!

Good morning, chicks!

Nice to see you again, Fiona and Tams - we're all still here, squaking away.

Sy- I don't have a secret about nuts; I count them. Nuts are not one of my trigger foods. But - alcohol and ice cream are - which is why they terrify me. Also, sweet cakes, cookies, etc. BTW, honey grahams (1 sheet) are on the NP, for one starch. I think you'll like it when you see it next week.

Kristi - is that B&J f yogurt SF and FF? Most of the B&J stuff I see still has more calories than the Healthy Choice. And we don't have Perry's in my area

Diane, I'm with you on the soups! I do like to cook, but there's nothing like a can out of the pantry into the microwave. I'm going to look at the Low Sodium Soups at the store today. If they have similar sodium as a frozen dinner, I'm going to give them a try.

Fiona -have you thought about what your present is going to be?

All - are we ending the BL on Friday, or Monday (to give us a full week)?

Hugs

Hey gals - FYI you will only see me posting during the work day/week, as coming here caused some major issues with pop-ups on my home computer, and now that I've got my new one I don't want to go there with it!

Okay, was Biggest Loser on last night or not? I turned on the TV at 7:00 and it was the tree lighting at Rockerfeller Center, which I assumed was going to go all the way through prime time so I didn't check back later. But if it was on later and I missed it, I'm going to be ticked!

Diane - hi! I was AWOL (lol) when you joined so I didn't get to say welcome, so WELCOME! I love new "faces" here.

Julie - I have no idea what it's going to be. DH is pretty good at picking out presents, though, so I'm not too worried. Plus, it's Christmastime and he knows what's on my list.

Well, back to the grindstone - later!
