Hi Everyone...
I went for my interview today and I GOT THE JOB....Yippeeee. I've been at home for almost a month and I'm really ready to get back to work.
I stopped in at LA while I was in town today. I haven't been there for awhile. With everything that has been going on, I called and asked to have my weeks put on hold. They ended up giving me all the weeks I had paid for awhile back. There was a big mix up somewhere but I didn't say a thing. I'm paid up now for 13 more weeks starting today. So, she told me to start back on plan after Thanksgiving (Monday) when I start my new job.
Britt.....I also asked the manager again today about the new plan. She told me the same thing. She didn't know a thing about it either and said they had a meeting next month and would probably get the new plan in January. She said it was pretty bad when a client knows what's going on before she does....lol
But anyway, Star said they weren't corporate or a test center so they just got their plans early. Who else said they would be getting there's in next week?
Well, I wasn't on plan last night. I won't go into detail but it wasn't pretty. I might just wait to start back again on Monday. It will be much easier doing it when I'm working. This should be much easier for me this time around because even with my old job I was still at home. This time I won't be. I get to pack my things for the day.
Well, I'll talk to you all in the morning. Just wanted to share my news.
Hi everyone! Well, I stopped by the center today and was holding my breath when I got on the scale because I just knew that I felt so bloated I would be up in weight. I wasn't up! I'm down, and less than 1 lb away from the 150s. The person at the center couldn't believe how happy I was over the small amount. Well, the scale kept moving between 160.8 and 161 back and forth. I'm not sure what she wrote down, but when I saw 160 with any amount of ozs attached, that is my lowest weight in such a long time and means that something is starting to happen again and maybe I'm over the hump and will get to my goal sooner than I think! Makes me "almost" want to give up the stuffing on Thanksgiving and just stick to plan, but I think it will be too hard with so much food - most that I only see once a year. LOL! I'm keeping up the chant on the water thing thanks and have Star to thank for that! Your a doll!
Sammy, good luck with the pies. I will let you know if I make it back to NYC. It is definately an exciting place. You know, a while back I was in Boston thinking it would be as exciting - either I was in the wrong part of the city, but it's nothing like NYC. I did get to go to the original Filene's and that was the excitement of the trip.
Hey all, I'll be on vacation the rest of the week - and will be posting if DH is hogging the computer doing his work. LOL! He has to take a break at some point in the day. I'll just get up early so I can post.
Have a great evening. I'm on cloud 9. Oh yeah, I'm suppose to start my Take-Off tomorrow. Hope I stick to it as sometimes I sabatoge myself when my weight it down. Yikes, I better get in a better frame of mind by then. Have a great eveing everyone, and for those of you that won't be on over the weekend, have a awesome Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for.
How could I forget this? Karen, I'm so happy that you GOT THE JOB! Things are starting to turn around for you and I'm very happy for you! We'll keep you on track after Thanksgiving.
Only one more day to Thanksgiving and I'm feeling far more confident than I was a few weeks about making decent choices and not completing ruining all my progress. I have finally crossed into 'One'der land....it's the first time I've been below 200 lbs in at least 7 years...I could have cried when I saw that number...it's 199, but it's not 200
Sy-Congrats on being close to the 150s!!! new numbers are always exciting and it is a good sign that your body is responding again...way to go!
Diane-Congrats on the 5lb loss...that is a great first week!
Karen-Congrats on the new job!!
I hope everyone has a happy and healthy holiday. I'm leaving this afternoon to visit family out of state and will be shopping til I drop on Friday...I can hardly wait!!!!
Sounds like lots of good things happening to our LAWL chicks -
Diane, wow! 5 POUNDS! I am trying very hard not to let that green-eyed monster stay too long. And more protein! What's the difference between the red plan and the purple plan? I'm on purple.
Karen -- a new job! I'm the one who's supposed to get the new plan next week.
Jen - back to Onederland (love it). I'm hoping to get there in January. . .
Sy - can you send some of those skinney vibes my way?
Star - have you gotten your DM's stuffing recipe? And a house on the lake? Do you go all year round? That's one of my dreams in the next few years - to have a second home on the water. . .
Sammy - how do you do it - all that baking and stay on plan? (I'm also about 5 years younger than your MIL)
Britt - how have the nails held up?
Kristi - very brave to turn in your notice. Was this someplace you've worked for a long time? And you'll have the holidays to start it off.
I'm considering take off this weekend - the LAWL juice is even on sale at the center. . . I'm going to wait until WI today to decide.
Sorry if I missed anyone - I'll try to check in later.
So glad everyone is having an UP start to their nice weekend! Karen so happy for you what a way to start off the holiday season!
Kristi-Way to go on telling them to keep their job! You go girl!
SY-WOOOOHOOOO! THe scale is on the move again and you are within 5 pounds! So happy for you! You deserve that bite or two of stuffing!
Star-have a greaet time off!
Jen-One derland! I watched the biggest loser last night and I know that was a big accomplishment for them to hit that mark! So happy for you!
Julie-Girl, hang in there! It is going to happen for you too! Maybe Thanksgiving is what you need to send your body into shock!!!
Diane-5 pounds in one week? In my center they have a biggest loser board and you would be there for the week!!
Okay, I have to go pay bills, hit Costco (Sam's club) then grocery and over to the soup line this afternoon! I got all my pies made by 8:00 last night and they all look so pretty! Now if I can get them to the church in one piece! I am so Thankful for this site and all you chicks that we keep each other grounded in this diet routine! Have a great day and will try to check in later!
Julie,
My mom's stuffing is a cornbread kind. If you want it I can get it from her. Let me know.....
Sammy - I'm also four years older than you mother-in-law......(no laughing)
Jen - Welcome to Onerderland - the struggle continues here. But the water is wonderful......
Hugs - Have to go and have afew more water cocktails.....
Okay, did anyone find me that danish I asked for yesterday
Karen, I'm so glad you got the job Now I am crossing my fingers that they have internet hookup there. So you can play and work at the same time.....
Sy - Congrats on seeing 160, you and I are exactly at the same place. This morning my scale said 159.8, which means at the center it will be 160 something.......But as long as I can see 159 anything-anywhere Hey it's all good Oh, and if your doing TakeOff today you should be in the 150's tomorrow......I know that will be your best Thanksgiving in awhile huh? I'll be toasting you with my drinking (water) all day tomorrow. My plan is to drink all day I know what your saying about double thinking the "normal" eating as it might push us further into the 160's, but it's a hard call. For me I just can't pass up another chance to have mom's stuffing, it only comes once a year.
Sammy - So are you wearing an apron? I'll bet all your goodies turned out great. I could not do that without eating too much. I'm a tasteter......
Okay, either you all ran off with Fiona
or
Your all eating early
Well I'll just have to go and drink some more water all by myself
I was gonna tell you all how thankful I am for finding 3fatchicks and having such great support from you But now that your gone,I guess I'm too late to get corny......... Oh well, I'm really too for that anyhow........
hey, it's cold here and getting colder.....burrrr.....too bad for the kids going downtown to the Thanksgiving day parade.......
Did much better at WI today than I expected or hoped for! Down 2.2!!!! Lost what I had gained, and down .4 from that!
Thanks for being there for me, chickies! I am so thankful for you all.
Star - I'm going to have to send that list around! Hope your WI is great. With all those water cocktails, it should be. I'm trying to join your party, long distance wise.
Sammy - I saw the biggest loser last night, too. Isn't it something that a woman was the biggest loser last night? And how the women have banded together?
Star, you still around? I think everyone has gone early for the holiday.
Sorry to leave you alone so long star lol. But i just got in from school a little while ago and had some paperwork to do before i could jump on here and catch up with the days action. Glad to see that everyone is doing so well. I had my WI today and i was down .25 better than nothing i was shooting for being down .5 but at least i was half way there. However i have probably already gained that back. I stopped at the golden arches for lunch! I got the double cheeseburger meal with a Diet Dr. P and some apple dippers so at least there was some fruit involved!
I wanted to get online and just let you all know how thankful i am for this message board and your support! Everyone have a great Thanksgiving. And i will see everyone next week if not before! I start take off Saturday. Going to drink my water........
Yes, I'm back - I had to run to the bank for my boss and then to the store to pick up afew turkeys for the guys here.......
I did a bad thing, I didn't go and weigh in today. My son came by and we were talking about all I had to accomplish before tomorrow and between him & me we decided I could just weigh at home. This morning I weighed 159.8 and I will weigh tomorrow. My weekend goal is to be 159 on Monday (after the holiday). I will go back to the "Center of Scruntiny" on Monday......
Hey I watched the Biggest Loser too. I didn't care for the Dave guy too much, he seemed to be full of excuses. Did you notice that after the red team lost the weight challenge that the trainer made the comment about red team did weights and the blue didn't? It was like she was questioning if that was the right decision. Watching that show reminds me of my life, the girls were so disappointed when their loss was minimal, been there/done that......lol
Thanks for posting Julie........and congrats on the good weigh in - your a big loser!!
Hey just a thought but why dont we have a weekly biggest loser on here. It would be fun! We are always telling our weight anyway lol might as well have fun with it. And with a lot of us doing the take off this week/weekend we could have some good numbers. Toss around some ideas about it and maybe we can start something next week.
Oh yeah and star i didnt like the dave guy either. However i didnt like ryan for the way he voted that one girl off before. I think it could possible be all girls at the end.
Audit: Wow, how awesome for you that you in Onederland. I also post on WW board so know all about that. I'm so proud of you I could give you a gerat big hug and you know, I would be crying from the excitement too.
Hey Britt: I'm in for the challenge. I'm feeling pretty good today since I did 1 day of 2DTO yesterday. I'm going to drink as much water as I can before going to my sister's for dinner (from now on, 2 Day Take Off = 2dto or 2DTO - okay?).
Starr, you are so funny and always find the cutest thing to post. Are you related to Johnny Carson? Jay Leno? We are going neck and neck.
Ladies: Okay, I'm not a city girl as in New York City, but I do live in the suburbs and not too familiar with farming and what all that entails. So, I stopped by my sister's yesterday and her boy friend just came home from deer hunting - he also brought home a fresh turkey. Okay, not a wild turkey - a fresh 'live' turkey from his x-farm (where his x-wife and 21 year old daughter live). He wanted it for Thanksgiving dinner. Okay, my sister is normally as squeemish as me on things like that. So, he takes her 2 boys (8 & 10) and my niece (15) out to the back yard so they can watch/assist him in killing today's dinner. He was joking with me before hand that I could go out and help and did I know that 'chickens/turkeys' really do run around with their heads cut off. I told him, if I helped - I would probably never eat turkey again and I can't afford to do that and continue to lose weight (what an excuse, lol). Well, turkeys really do run around like chickens with their heads cut off as the saying goes. And, that saying is really true! I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it myself. I'm kind of excited in trying the 'really' fresh turkey today for dinner. So, another thing I'm thankful for today is that my niece didn't catch me or touch me when she was chasing me with the turkey's head in her hands.
Britt, I'm up for the challenge, too. How do you want to do it?
At WI yesterday, the counselor suggested instead of take off, but express (the first two days on the program). Which is unlimited protein and green veg, remember, but no lites? I may do that this weekend. To recover from today.
Yeah, I didn't like Dave either. He was smarmy. Nothing ever his fault. And never wrong.
Star, what a nice person you are - picking up turkeys for the guys at work.
I didn't catch the reference to weights. But she has modified the diet plan at some point, right? To add more calories? It seems that she's been the one who is more willing to adapt.
Sy - LOL on the turkey. I'm a child of the suburbs, too, so I understand what you mean. My BIL is a deer hunter, and someone brought an entire deer(dead) to his house while he was having a family party, to section it up (not sure what the technical term is) for friends. It's an image that sticks in my mind, seeing that deer on top of that SUV. I left right after it came in. Sorry, DO NOT MEAN to offend anyone!
Back to the water cocktails. Amazing how much better they get as the day goes on!
