Aphil: The soup sounds like a great way to get our veggies in. We could also use low sodium chicken broth and do the same thing. See, all we have to do is ask and someone will come up with the answer. Thanks for posting it.

Hey, Starr where you are? You are always on the boards by now. I'm only working 1/2 day today so I hope you post before I leave.

Tonight I'm selling hot chocolate for my brother's resturant in a small town as each year, the first Friday of December they have a Christmas Tree Walk. The small shops are open in their town, and then they have the lighting of their Christmas tree and sing Christmas Carrols. It was so much fun last year, and it really puts you in the Christmas mood. And, it's snowing today so that will really put the entire event in the right mood. Hope that the driving is good. Have a great day everyone.

Lol Sy! Thank you for the nice ego boost. The real estate business is fine - I'm discovering right now that it's going to be a crash course in assertiveness for me! (You'd never guess it from my "online" personality, but I'm really quite shy in unfamiliar situations!) And that's even closer to home than just, say, going out and finding clients - I'm realizing that even within my office, if I need something, I have to go out and ask for it - no one is jumping up to say, here, let me show you how this is done, here's what you should do next! Anyway, yes that's the photo I chose for my business cards - hopefully they will be ready before Christmas - a great example of one of those things I'm going to have to get assertive about!

I think BL should be Monday to Monday. It seems most of us gave a Monday weigh in as our starting weight, so I think we should go with that. It's also an incentive not to go lazy over the weekend.

Speaking of lazy, I was kinda bad yesterday and it came back and bit me in the butt this morning...had half a (giant) chocolate muffin at work, bacon cheeseburger for dinner, and a can of pop on the drive home "to keep me awake" - end result, up a pound. I will have to be extra good (more water and no cheating, even though there are muffins left over from yesterday) today and hopefully I can get that pound back.

Gotta go work now - back later!

Default Tgif -

Morning my little chick-a-dees......

Well, I did it this morning - , no not that, worked out ofcourse. My back wasn't up to snuff on the ab tape, but I just took it alittle easy on that.....

Britt - good luck with your dad being on plan, you must be a good influence on him......I don't think people fully understand all that we have to do and give up to actually lose weight. That's why when they ask "how did you lose weight?" they are looking for the easy answer.....

Julie, Thanks for the advice about water...gulp,gulp......I don't drink tea at work, but I do drink a "special" tea at night to assist with bodily functions. Your idea made me think I could drink hot lemon water during the day too..... Also, about your picture, I couldn't get mine the right size either, so I e-mailed 3fcks help and they put it up for me......palm frond, is that what that's called

Sy - Yikes back to ya I suffered the same guilty eating of the peanut butter last night - I was bad....who has the wet noodle

Britt - About the BL weigh in. Let's just go from M-M, that is one week and chicks can just go with their last weigh in, but the official day should be Monday.....doesn't that make sense

Diane - Where in Texas are you moving? I lived there for 16 years and the only thing that went down real easily was the mexican food and ofcourse frozen margaritas.... I loved living there, the people are so friendly. My youngest son is a Texan.

Pink -Thanks for the compliment, you made me ! You can join the Biggest Loser, all you need to do is go from your weight last Monday or you could just start this coming Monday.....

Tam - if you PM me with your address I will send you a copy of the Gold new plan......Although I don't know why I'm helping all you already big losers lose more

Aphil- you are just a fountain of good eating information, you should have your own book Keep all the good stuff coming, but don't you know something like; click you heels together three times and say lose, lose, lose out loud and "poof" there goes 5 pounds

Tomorrow is shopping with my mom. Sunday is DIL's baby shower. Oh that reminds me, last night I went to Tiffanys and bought the DIL's earrings for Christmas. That will be a big surprise for them.....they are the best. I have three, but one got the earrings last year.

Okay - later chicks.....HUGS

Morning To ALL!

Sounds like everyone is up and moving! Sy you are right, Star has always posted by now what's up?

Sy-the hot chocolate thing is right up my alley! I would love for a little "small" town feel to Christmas like on Steel Magnolias they have that Winter Festival and it is like a carnival. That to me would be my ideal Christmas! I did get my tree up and it turned out beautiful if I do say so myself! I bought a 9 1/2 ft. artificial one last year after the season for $60!!! It was a steal but a lot of work!

Star and Kristi-Where the heck are you two? I don't think I saw any posts from Kristi yesterday? Did you get sucked into working at work again?

Fiona-love the picture! You look so young, how old are you if you don't mind my asking?

I bought a new digital camera at Wal-Mart during their 5 hour sale last Friday and it is still in the box, I have been meaning to get it out and try it out! Does anyone have Christmas cards made to send out? I do and I am going to try to post mine! Guess I better get my picture taken first huh?

Diane-hang in there, we have all had a fair share of disapointment medicine on this roller coaster ride! Fortunatly it does not last and you get back in the losing side!

I am up for the official WI to be Monday as that gives us a whole week for loss! I go in today but not sure how it will work as I snuck a couple pieces of candy yesterday. Bad I know but good while I was snacking! I am with SY I have been so dang hungry! I want to eat everything and anything! We grilled burgers last night and I thought I would splurge and have a "real" burger then I looked at the fat content, 25 Grams!!!! So I went for the Turkey burger and it was not so good but doable!

Okay, I have to get, I have WI, a little Christmas shopping, School, then I am starting my job tonight! The lady that is training me wants to work tonight from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00. Yikes, out until late on a Friday night without DH and a in hand! But at least I will be making some money huh!!! My challenge for the weekend is Ladder 49 made it to the cheap seats so I think we will hit the movie this weekend but ! Good thing it is hard to eat with braces or else I would be doomed!!!

Skinny vibes to all weighing in today and tomorrow!

Hi chicks!

It was me who mentioned What Not To Wear - we should see if they will host a 3FC group makeover (once ALL of us reach goal) - that would be terrific for ratings - at least in the cities we live in!

I am chained to my house today, chickies, as I'm waiting for a contracter to see if I can get the wood trim repainted on my little townhouse - I've gotten one of those nasty letters from the HomeOwners Associations. I hate waiting. Also, I have to be off the phone in case he calls. So I'll be signing off now - and I'll try to check in later today.

Hugs,

I have been thinking about joinind LA weightloss but i have a question. How do you determine which plan you are on. This morning I weighted in at 180 and I would like to weigh 145. I was just wondering if they would put me on a plan that I could live with.

Hi "life" and welcome! I believe they determine which plan to start you on based on your goal weight/how many pounds you want to lose and how much you exercise. with 35 pounds to lose, I would bet they will put you on "Gold." I don't know the exact stats for that plan as it's not mine, but I think it's around 1200-1400 calories per day. If you have any other questions feel free to ask - the centers aren't always too forthcoming with info until after you've signed up, and I think we all pretty much feel it's more important to make informed choices - we don't care about keeping their secrets for them, lol!

Are there bars you can substitute for the LA lite bars? Cost is a big factor for me.

Cool My first post

Hello, my name is Annie. I started LAWL about a month ago, & was a counselor a couple of years ago. I lost about 100 pounds on my own 5 years ago, but the last 30 have been stubborn. When I was presented with doing the program for free PLUS get paid $100 to do it for radio endoresements, how could I say no? Yes, I am on the radio, in Springfield, MO.

Anyway, I just thought I'd say hello. No one at my center knows anything about a new plan yet.

Oh, I've lost 5.5 inches in the first 4 weeks, but only about 6 pounds. I ignore the scale usually because I lift a lot of weights, so the scale is never indicative of my true loss. Plus, I fluctuate BADLY anyway, depending on anything between the moon phase & if I've blwon my nose. I just have that sort of body. So, my goal has always been more inch loss than weight loss on the scale.

I've been POP for the first 4 weeks, even on Thanksgiving, which surprised me because I was VERY tempted by some delectable treats. However, I brought my scale & stayed away from the starches.

I have a couple of parties in the next few weeks, so I may deviate just a tad, but nothing too bad, since my body will fight back if I eat anything unhealthy. I'm lucky in that my body reacts badly to unhealthy food since losing the initial 100 pounds or so. Knowing how I'll feel afterward usually keeps me from eating junk.

Anyway, I'm about to head to weigh-in, but I thought I'd make my first post rather than just lurk.

Ciao!

Annie

If you want to eat some kind of bar, but not the LA bars, the Luna ones are almost identical nutrition-info-wise. You won't get credit for eating them from LAWL, though.
