Phyllis - FitDay gets easier over time as you probably eat the same foods over and over.

Dear Phyllis - I like the WATP tapes also. Some people don't like her, but I do. Today I got out of bed and immediately put my patch on to quit smoking. That is the hardest part - actually putting it on. Once it is on I am fine.

I am having peanut butter toast and hot tea right now while watching Oprah. Once I am more awake I will get on the treadmill. Day 2 of habit changing!

Morning .

Deficit of 900 yesterday, would have been over 1000 but I gave in to the current temptation in my life which are the ginger snap cookies.

Started my new circuit plan today. Ohmygod I don't think I will ever use my shoulders again after this morning. It was tough, I only managed two sets instead of the planned three but at least I did something, right? Right?!

Hi everyone! I have been posting to 3fc for a little while on one other thread, but I was hoping I could pop in here now and then also because I am a calorie counter. I am trying to keep it around 1200 with occassional exceptions. I try to get in a good walk a couple times a week also.

Good job LynneA! Anything is better than nothing, and two sets is great in my book!

Welcome bep! I am new to this thread as well.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Meigg, good luck with quitting smoking.....keep your hands busy. I found breaking the habits I had of when I smoked the hardest part. Like when talking on the phone, driving in my car, etc. Your right 21 days to break a habit.....the patches will help.

Ok, it is Weds. yesterday I had 1307 cal. and I have a question. I just figured out that you are getting the deficit number from FitDay....where is that number? I couldn't find it? I'm sure it's right there in front of me DUH!

I am very happy I am able to stay under my 1400 cal. goal so far.

Thanks for your help....Phyllis

Morning everyone!
Phyllis? We subtract our intake from our output. Like if you eat 1800 calories but burn 1950, you have a 150 calories deficit.

I worked overtime last night and am struggling to get everything put in fitday over the day change. I do have a deficit but it's cwappie food.

You are very welcome Rebeca. I just feel so awesome now ... I want it for everyone!

Phyllis - under the Activities tab in Fitday, look at the box that says 'Calories Burned Today'. At the top of that box it says Total. That is your total 'out' calories. Under the Food tab, the calorie total from your foods is your total 'in'.

Or at least this is what I've been going by and believe to be is correct. Hope this helps!

Well, didn't end up under 1500 yesterday. I was at around 2000. It is definately better than 3000 or 3500 which is what I was eating before, but 1500 is the number I am shooting for. We went out, and while I cut back, I did not cut back enough.

They are ordering Chinese in for lunch right now, but I am eating my lunch I brought. I must stay strong!!!

Also, I weighed in today and have gained. I am leaving my signature the same - I hope it will be right next week.

As for my goals, I have been walking on my treadmill in the morning, but smoked a few cigarrettes as I have had a few panic attacks. I am going to put another patch on later today.

Hi all,

My name is Dee and I just started using fit day.I had a question. I put my food in and my excercise but it it says I burned 3392 calories and ate 1768. So that leaves me with a deficit of 1628!! Are these figures correct to keep track of my weight loss. That means I would lose about 4 pounds a week???Thats too much weight to lose in a week.
