Sweet, it's from when I was studying long ago (well, about13 yrs). I studied surveying and we had to do a project and that entailed carrying the theodolite (instrument) up mountains etc and it weighed about 20kg. This has made my knees bend in and so my kneecaps scrape and grate all the time. My joints in my hands are from all the typing and using the mouse at work (where I now draw for a living). My back is also a bit iffy at times from the caring work done overseas! I think that I should just be taken out to the back and shot!

meg are you still doing drafting. i got the impression you're doing typing now?

nasty nasty injuries but at least you have found something that helps

It depends on the day. I was imployed as a draftsman as well as a fill in typist and telephonist! As our new secretary doesn't have too much work at the mo (none of us do) she has taken most of my typing. I now just do some tender documents, payments and letters when she isn't here. Today I have done a bit of drawing and sat around for the rest of the day. Our one major client seems to be on the point of dropping us, but I do know that we have other jobs coming in as well.

When the weather gets cold and damp here I do suffer as well as when I've been sitting for a long time. It then takes me a while to straighten up!

I'm supposed to be starting my Self Challenge on Monday, but was actually thinking about starting Sat or Sun instead. Why wait and eat too much?

Sweet - It's from the Self Magazine. It's a 3 month programme with cardio, weights and an eating plan (which I skip). It does help to get you back into the exercise thing and I find that because I'm making note of the workouts, I really don't want to skip one. It can be found on their website, although this year they seem to be having hassles and it's not up and running yet. It also comes in the mag itself (which I received on Monday or Tues).

Wendy - I know the feeling! Some of my friends who are even younger than me are also showing arthritic changes, so it doesn't look like age is so much of a factor nowadays!

I feel like I've lost more weight this week - the pants I'm wearing today are really loose and keep falling down! Luckily, the hips are still a bit too wide for them to fall all the way! SBD really makes you lose over your belly and that is never a bad thing! I will probably be going a bit beserk this weekend, as I've got nobody else to account to and I just feel like some really decadent sweets! Will probably end up not eating as much as I'd like, because it will be too rich, and I'd rather eat a bit at a time than too much and then feel really sick or worse...

Work calls...

well done on the change in shape Meg!

Wendy hope you feel better soon

I am going to talk to my doc about changing my pills. i am sick of feeling dizzy and sleeping all the time. i haven't done any exercise today but hoping to go dancing tmrw. only problem is i have a bruised foot from lacing my shoe too tight for my walk last weekend (i know crazy lol). hoping it is ok for me to wear a close fitting shoe tmrw as you have to have proper shoes for dancing...

I've got newish clogs that I wore yesterday and they cut into the top of my feet, but I keep wearing them! Today I'm wearing much more comfy shoes as I've got ugly red lines from yesterday!

Hello! Head ache is gone!!For now. I think I have to have my wisdom teeth pulled, they were supposed to come out 6 months ago but with Ryan being so little at the time I didn't do it.I suffer now though,I am going to try and get them yanked before May so I'm not swollen for camping season.
I'm still sore, and I expect to be for awhile. I hope to be able to start exercising a little bit on Monday and get my butt back into gear. With TOM and slacking out at Grandma's I have gained 4lbs!! I am NOT happy with that.
Today I am going to the drug store to refill my meds and then wait for my order to come in this evening, and that is it! What an exciting life I have....thank goodness for Ryan being here or I'd sleep all day!

Later gater,
W.

Wendy, things are really quiet around here again! I should have exercised last night, but just sat and vegged in front of the tv! Am busy planning out my weekend and got a message from a friend really early this am. Nearly gave me a heart attack as I was technically still asleep!

Doesn't look like much will happen here at work today. My boss is out this am and not sure about this arvo.

Ya,it's sad when people just stop posting I'm guessing that they just give up on their diets.......at least we still have a few girlies!!
I'm out on the prowl tomorrow night(Friday)!! Gonna have some fun! I'm going to a social.......guess I should explain....In Manitoba,Canada we have fundraisers for different occasions like weddings, sporting events, blah, blah, blah and whatever is made fron silent auction prizes and liquor sales go to the event! Kind of boring actually, theres music and dancing and all but I still find it boring because nobody talks to each other. I'm going with 4 friends and I can guarentee that none of us will talk to anyone that's not part of our group!! Well, maybe I will I'm just a friendly kind of person! I think people are scared to communicate these days.....I'm off to bed now, have fun at work today Megsa!!

Hi Sweet pea! What are you up to today??

Hello to all the others!!
Wendy
