Hello all. I'm behind in my posting. Have been in a funk because I can't get back on my fasting program. I've been anxious about a number of things in my life which is finally show itself in the cold I've got today. Despite my cheating I've still been losing weight. Last night's weigh-in showed a lb lost. So I left the clinic and what did I do? I went to the store and bought a turkey sandwich and a bottle of wine When I got home I had a conversation with my neighbor that amped up my anxiety so much I wasn't hungry. So why did I eat the sandwich anyway? I'm trying to get my mojo back, but it's so hard. Now I'm feeling sorry for myself because I have a cold.
Ellis - what kind of a program are you going on? Is it a fast or a modified eating one? I'm so excited for you. This will be a new beginning.

Rosetta - I am sorry you are having a tough time.. hugs to you.

Well I am waiting to find out if I am pregnant... my cycle is due on the 30th and I feel great about the thought of being pregnant. But I am worried about my weight. My husband and I decided that we can always wait for that mythical perfect time to happen - which we have been waiting for for two years... or do it when we think we are ready.. so we are trying to conceive. In an odd way it has made me eating easier. I am very reluctant to put any rubbish into my system.

I also have been trying "tapping" an emotional freedom technique and it seems to be helping quite a bit. I am unsure where it is reprogramming my limbic system as it claims, or if it gives my brain the pause that it needs to help me deal with that "instant" need you have with a craving but I feel more in control.

I am unsure about posting a link... so I wont but you can google it if interested.

Rosetta, I'm so sorry you're having a rough time, sweetie. Can you spend a little time "with yourself" to figure out your emotions? Sometimes we just need to turn our focus from the outside world to our inner being. You're very special, and you deserve to treat yourself well. Big hugs, hon...
BTW, the program I'm going to do is based on your BMI, and it's doctor-supervised with a nutritionist and personal trainer. I'm really excited!

Marianna, I'm excited for you! Let us know when you hear the news... it sounds as though being pregnant may, indeed, be good for you. Sometimes we just need a "legitimate" reason to eat healthy. I wish you the very best...

Howdy everyone.. still no news.. should know by Tuesday - I am not feeling pregnant, so perhaps we will just need to keep trying

The desire to want another child has struck us pretty hard, so my husband and I sat down yesterday and worked out a "health plan" for our family.. that way we can give each other support and know exactly what direction we want to head in... we listed our guidelines for food, exercise and general stuff - it felt good to sit down and talk it all out. He knows that I have emotional eating problems (pretty obvious) and no I have told him exactly how I want him to *help* me when I am having a tough time with it all... so we will see how we go.

Here is the link to the tapping. I have found it to be quite positive this week actually. I have only had a few times when I have gone to eat poorly and I have been able to stop... as you scroll down each page there is a button to move you along to the next step.. hope the link it helpful.
