Cool

Hi all. I've been busy at work and haven't had time to post. I'm still cheating on my diet, but judiciously: turkey and tuna sandwiches, healthy salads and no desserts. Well...there's popcorn (how can you say no to a freebie?) and wine to wash down the sandwiches. Sigh. Despite this I lost another 2 lbs. last week. Go figure. I did however, manage to walk up two medium steep hills last weekend without stopping in the middle of them. Haven't done that in a long while. Still walking on my lunch hour. Will have to get a regular exercise practice going.
Ellis - that's terrific about the medically supervised weight loss program. I'm eager to hear the details when you know them. I know all about "last meals." I think i gained 5-6 lbs. before my fast. Thank goodness I only had a few days between the time I signed up and the start date. I did lose 12 lbs the first week though. You're smart in not trying to binge for a whole month just because you're starting a program. Keep up your strenghth. Many of the women in our program have lost the same amount of weight as I have but some had less to lose. One woman my age showed up at the group last week in a sexy outfit, looking totally different from the way she's been all along. Guess there's hope for me. Better get back on track.

Thanks for the welcome back. It has been awhile.

Ellis--I've tried Metabolic Weight loss for awhile but I hated to take all those supplements although I have to admit it did curb the binges. I don't know if if it was the combination of things or the chromium. I'm taking a multivitamin with chromium in it. We'll see how that works.

Rosettastone--A two pound loss is great. Did you used to be with ediets.com? I remember this name for some reason.

Hello to the rest I'm looking forward to meeting all of you.

Ellis~Great news about the program!! Good luck, I hope you learn a tone of new and imprtant things!(like how to get rid of all this fat overhight )

Rosetta ~great job on the loss I wish I have lost that!! I am just getting my exercise back in, so I have lost the holiday weight, but I am stable so far. Hoping next wekk goes better.

Things with the kiddies are getting better, but i still cant wait for my mom to get back. I e-mailed her today, so hopefully she will return!! But knowing that she gets all the kiddies for a week after she gets back might motivate her to stay down under.

Well chick, I have to work in hte morning, so I will bid you all good night.

Thanks, hon.
Darling, I KNOW all the answers, I just need someone to tell me to DO IT!!
That's the problem, isn't it? Most of us know everything there is to know about weight loss/exercise. We just have to get off our behinds and do it!

Rosetta, we've missed you!
Thanks for the encouragement... I can't WAIT to start!
I'm glad you're still losing... AND cheating sensibly!

Ceejay, I'm not keen on the idea of suppliments, either. But right now, I'll do almost anything.

How is everyone today? Having a good weekend?
I can't believe it... it's actually snowing! We've been having unusually warm weather lately, and it's been raining for the past two days or so. (love it!) The temperature is dropping again... darn! That means the canal might reopen, and I'll have to go skating!

hey all would love to join in this thread.
I can't seem to get control of my night time binging and the more I try the more I seem to fail. I'm so sick of "dieting" and being really good during the day and then absolutely losing all control at night.
Would appreciate your support

Hi Chaarli, and fellow dieters,
Nighttime is the worst for me also. I am trying cad, and try not to overeat at night. It is hard though, but we are here to support each other.

Yeah it doesn't matter how good I am during the day...and I am good I can't seem to get the night under control.
I'm trying to make myself only have 1 OP treat at night but sometimes I end up having 2 or 3 and then just lose it.
I'll have to see what I can do to make it better...maybe if I ate my dinner later then I wouldn't cheat..or would I be so starving that I would eat everything in sight. Who knows, I guess I'll have to lay around with my meals for a while to see what works best.

I did really good yesterday. We took the kids roller skating, and when we got back it was bed time, so I did not get a chance to over eat last night. I am going to aim again to get in 4meals(very small) throughout the day today, to see if that helps. you ladies have a wonderfull day!!

Weighed this morning and lost 2 lbs. Still trying to curb nighttime eating.

Chaalri,
I am going to try and eat later too. I think that might help me a lot. I was in the habit of eating while watching tv and I Just can't do that now.

Good morning ladies! Well, I do have a confession this morning. I worked a little late and I did not want the roast dh had made, so I stopped at McDonalds and had a big mac. But, I am not feeling too bad this morning. Anoccasional treat will not hurt me~as long as this does not turn into a weekly ritual.

Shirl~great job on the two pound loss!!!

Good morning, all!

Good attitude re: the big mac, Ellen! If this way of eating is going to be a life-time commitment, we have to allow ourselves the occasional "treat", otherwise we're in danger of going right off the deep-end.

Shirl, congratulations on the loss!! Keep it up, girl!

I had my first appointment at my new weight loss program yesterday. Saw the doctor there, and he told me all about the program. It sounds good, and I'm starting next week! I can't wait to get going.

I hope everyone has a good day!
