Rest day for me. I've been eating clean and exercise every day for a week now. Not easy for me especially after letting myself go for a long time. So proud of myself. Hope it gets easier next week.Joe

Happy Saturday everyone,

I have been good the last few days and I plan on carrying that on. I have even gotten back into working out. I used to do an hour every night. That seems so long ago ..... mind you that was when I was working and at home watching tv every night. Now I'm retired and out having fun and hardly watch tv anymore.

Sounds like everyone is doing well.

SW: 155
CW: 152 (-3 lbs)

Have a great week everyone and keep up the good work

wantochange and yangtzer: good job keeping to your plans

nicoley and Riestrella: An occasional bad day isn't the end of the world, Just as long as you don't let it be two in a row. I've found that if I have a craving, I got further off the rails by depriving myself than if I just have a little bit of what I'm craving.

darius and Fungirl: You are both off to a great start, keep it up

Week One

Just glad I wasn't up more today. Hopefully I get back down a bit again tomorrow. But as long as I stay under 232 for the first 10 days of the month, I'm ok with that.

Finally, I’m in the 150’s... currently 159. Lost 2 lbs so far this month. 4 more to hit my targeted goal for August. The weather has been nice so we have been able to walk 2 times a day. Start to notice my clothes are fitting better.
Tomorrow is our cheat day& I’m not sure if I should eat a coconut donut. I have been craving it all week, but not today...I guess I will decide tomorrow when the time comes.

/sigh I'm heading the wrong direction right now. But I'm still doing all the right things, even went on a walk by the river yesterday, my first time doing that since I sprained my ankle last month. This is definitely a trend for me. No loss, and even some gain for the first week to 10 days of the month, then all the loss from the 10th to the end of the month. Good to know, anyway, so I don't get frustrated by it.

Good Morning!

Thank you Lacerta!

Today I start back at the gym and I am excited. One of my favorite way to challenge myself fitness wise is participating in Obstacle course mud runs. I started doing Rugged Maniac back in 2014 at 375. It is a 5K with 5 obstacles and a ton of mud. The first time was miserable and painful but I went with a bunch of co-workers and I wanted to finish...and I did. It took me 4 1/2 hours to walk the course and I complete 6 obstacles. I did it again in 2015...I was about 395 but I also trained a little. So I completed it in 3 hours and completed 9 obstacles but I was in pain from beginning to end. I did not compete in 2016 because my knees were injured nor did I do it in 2017 because while I felt fit I was only one month out from surgery and my doctor felt that I was not physically ready for that. This past May I was finally able to do it again. I was 130lbs lighter and stronger. I had a BLAST! I completed 19 obstacles and I finished just under two hours. And the best part...while I was tired I was in no pain. Not even the days following. I felt like superwoman The only obstacles I could not do were the ones that depended on upper body strength...since I have none. I have already registered for next year's race and I want to started work on my upper body strength. My goal for the next race is to complete all the obstacles. Have a great day every one!

Week One
01: 278.0
02: 276.8
03: 274.6
04: 274.2
05: 272.8

FUNGIRL28 - wow! I can't imagine doing that. Good for you and it's a great idea to start prepping for it.

Everyone going in the wrong direction - you can get back on the right track.

Good luck everyone

Wantochange - Yes...this years was so much fun because it was easier to do it. I struggled but no more than everyone else except on the obstacles that required moderate upper body strength. I want to be able to climb...can't wait to see how I do next year.

Yesterday I went to the mall to order my birthday dress and I started trying on clothes and loss track of time. I was 45 minutes late getting to the gym and after my workout I was practically in Godzilla mode. I ended up eating not the healthiest meal for dinner but I am happy to not see a gain. This is part of my challenge...if I don't eat on time and enter hangry mode I will not make the best choices. I need to start carrying healthy snacks with me everywhere just in case.

So not a new low, but at least I'm moving in the right direction again today. So far, I've stayed below 232.0, so I'm not unhappy, as this stall was expected. This week will be a lot of hours at work, so I won't have much time for personals, but then after this Friday, I will be back to part time again. Just 5 days to get through.
