I had too many reese's peanut butter cups last night - I should have known better than to buy them - but other than that I was pretty good. Looking forward to going to the pool at noon - although I really should have gotten up and gone this morning. I'm hoping that once I get back into the groove I'll have the energy I'm supposed to.

I've been blathering about this all over the place. Y'all, I leased a new car last night. I have not had a new vehicle since 1992! This isn't the best picture but I've gotta share! Here's my new little red wagon.

nice car! I've never had a new car, just hand me downs. I'm jealous. we're going to be getting a car for me as a college graduation present next year, but it feels like it can't come soon enough. I'm officially .6 lbs away from being out of the 390's. don't know how I'm losing it, I haven't been doing hardly any activity. must be that I'm still eating (relatively) on plan. I've just been so tired, like really dead on my feet. my insomnia at least was in full swing, I managed to sleep pretty well last night. must've been exhausted from fighting with my husband all night, haha. today is grocery shopping day, going to power walk around walmart with longy mclegs. woohoo!

Hi everyone. I know it's almost the halfway point for the month, but thought I would drop in and join you.

My name is Heather, and I am an on and off again poster on here. I am trying to stick with it this time, and be active in posting. Right now, I am trying to figure out how I want to tackle my weight, and the challenges I am facing with depression, school and work (and also the slim chance of pregnancy).

I have lost 16 pounds since June 4th, 2013 and hope to drop another 79 in ten months. I am thinking of pulling back my goal a little just because I have to be fitted, and have alterations made to my dress two months before the wedding which is in June.

I'll start this, but if it's more disjointed than usual, it's because I'm getting up every five minutes or so to take care of the major whoosh going on. Not complaining -- thrilled actually -- but won't be leaving the house too much today!

Jane -- I so understand about the Reese's. My latest break down was a bag of Skittles.

Garnet -- LOVE the new car -- perfect color for you! It's fun to get a new car, and sounds like you were due one since it's been 20 years!

Wheezypi -- whatever you're doing, keep doing it because it sure seems to be working.

Heather -- welcome and good luck with figuring out your dieting approach. Sounds like you've made great progress so far.

I'm still not doing very well with sticking to plan, but at least some of the water weight gain is beginning to come off. I definitely need to string together a few days of successfully staying on plan to get me back in the swing of things. Does anyone else find that stringing together days of behavior seems to dictate what will happen for the next few weeks? Unfortunately, that includes bad behavior, and it seems to be much harder to break! Off to the gym. Have a great day.

Hey everyone! Not much news here this week so far. It's TOM and I am feeling it! I did get on the scale and I've lost 2lbs so far this week. But, I'm a little dehydrated so it could just be that. I'm hoping when I weigh in Sunday, I will still be down at least two. I haven't ate too badly, and I've been getting some cardio in. I'm exhausted though. I'm only three lbs away from being over 300! I'm very impatient to see that number change!

Jane- Reese's are my favorite. But, I only like the holiday ones.

Garnet- Love the new car!

Wheezy- You are doing great! Keep it up!

Heather- Welcome!

Betsy- I find it's easier to stay on plan when I'm on plan, but once I get off it's super hard to be back on! I just have to buckle down and do it for about a week in order to get back in the groove.

Betsey I totally understand what you're saying! I have to "get into the swing" and hope nothing makes me lose momentum. This spring is a great example. Between the wedding and the traveling, I just went right off the bandwagon.

three days of swimming in a row now! Feels so good to be working out again!

Wheezy, have you tried videos like P90X or Insanity? I do them sometimes using modified movements where necessary (no way in **** is physics going to allow me to do a pull up), and I still get super sweaty and sore the next day. Youtube has some great dancing workout vids if you might be into that.

working, I don't work out very much. I used to do zumba at home a lot but I've been way too busy and haven't done it probably in about a month. I think p90x would literally kill me. I was just wondering if anyone had any youtube videos that are easier for fatties like me

Wheezy -- this is very old school, but if you can find some old Richard Simmons Sweatin' to the Oldies (and at this point, they're REALLY OLD), they give a good workout and have a lot of people in the dance group that are heavy. Actually, just turning on some music and dancing around to it would be good exercise.

Jane -- congratulations on 3 days of swimming. I know what you mean about getting back into the swing of things after being on trips. It definitely takes a few days (weeks, months......) to make it all happen again.

The garden is really beginning to produce. Zucchini out the ying yang, bush beans are just finishing up and the pole beans will be starting soon. Lots of cukes coming in as well as green peppers. It's just a salad garden, but I enjoy going down and harvesting every other day. I am getting kind of sick of parmesan zucchini, zucchini cakes, stuffed zucchini, zucchini lasagna, zucchini anything. I think that the food bank will be getting some fresh zucchini soon.....

Off to town today to get my annual mammogram. Ugh. Then I am meeting a lady at the local Co-op where I volunteer and am the Treasurer to try and get the accounting straightened out from a benefit garden tour we held last month. I'm dreading that. It's supposed to rain here today -- odd, but I'd love to have a day of a nice gentle rain just to get everything clean again.

Wheezy look for "exercise for anybody" type videos. I know somewhere on youtube there's a very basic aerobics vid that is modified for the very heavy. Richard Simmons is a great suggestion too.

That being said, don't sell yourself short, you can probably do more than you think!
