I feel very good, no sore throat and no pain anywhere. I took 2 Tylenol arthritis around 3:30 so I guess they worked. I wish I felt like this everyday. Maybe I feel better from all that extra sleep I got!
Trish, if Amazon says they delivered your pills and they are not in your box I think they delivered them to someone else. It would be nice if that someone else put them in the right box. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
I don't like Taco Bell tacos anymore. I like making them homemade. I use mild taco seasoning and we like chopped lettuce and tomato with shredded taco cheese. I use jarred taco sauce but DH doesn't like that. I would like to make them tomorrow but I have planned chili, bought the beans and have everything else so chili it is. (Unless DH doesn't want it.). He prefers canned chili and says mine isn't really chili but mine is like restaurant chili and just like my mother's.
I used to have a stainless steel bowl I used for making Jello but it disappeared. I think DH put it somewhere else and it hasn't shown up yet. I have one more cabinet to check. I don't think he would throw it away. One thing about a small kitchen is things have to be arranged in the space allowed. Baking sheets, bowls, pots and pans have to be nested according to size, large to small so they fit. DH doesn't want to take things out to put a larger one away so he sets a larger one on top of a smaller one. Then he complains that there are too many. He cooks too or I would just take care of it. He can leave things on the stove and I will put them away. My mother used to keep some pots and pans in the oven because she didn't have storage space. But then you have to remember to take them out before preheating the oven.
Step daughter said she wants to host Easter. Step son used to do it but step daughter hated to drive all the way to his house. I told her if he still wants to do it DH and I will have to choose. It turns out that his in-laws are coming home in time for Easter and DIL will want to spend Easter with her parents. She always does that and I don't really mind. I just want them all to be happy. So we will go to step daughter's. I prefer that anyway. We might drive out to step son's on Saturday because I always have Easter candy for DGS and cookies. I don't want him to think I forgot him. The covid numbers are down low enough now that we are comfortable doing the family get together. I did hear there is another variant looming, though. I don't think we will ever be rid of it completely.
Carol, glad you are better, your symptoms sounded like mine when I got covid in January. A good night's sleep can do so much for how we feel. I took melatonin Sunday and Monday, while I still woke up every couple of hours, I was able to get back to sleep quickly. I am loving the time change, feeling very energetic and really accomplishing things,
Trish, I have had many packages from Amazon show as delivered and I didn't get them until the next day. Sometimes it happens to me when it is shipped via UPS, and then they drop it off at the post office and we have to wait for them to deliver it. I would contact Amazon and let them know it wasn't delivered. Several times this winter our post office did not deliver mail because they said the roads were dangerous from snow and ice. I think if the school buses are out on the roads, the mail should be delivered.
I got my items at Home Depot, picked up my order at Kohls, when I got home it was almost noon and I had a tough time getting myself in gear, but I did it. House is really feeling less cluttered and clean.
I am on a happy, happy high, as my scale showed a new LOW! Yay, 221.0 , Even when the scale showed zero loss or a 2-4 lb bump up, I kept at it. When I was craving pasta, I had shirtaki, or cabbage noodles, when I wanted to sit on the couch, I made myself get up and do something. When I get on one of these big motivation highs, I always hope I can keep it. I am not a sweets eater, nor do I ever crave those things, sometimes I do want a little something, Atkins snack bars and keto ice cream really help me to stay on track.
I just washed mudroom floor, kitchen is next, then I am going outside to pick up branches, that will take a few hours and I hope to hit 7500 steps today. Mostly cloudy but supposed to be in high 50's this afternoon, I will have windows open again.

I'm tired just reading your post, Ann. My arm and hand pain is back but not severe. Just achy. The arm pain is in the muscle on the front of my upper arm, I think its called a bicep. It hurts when I try to raise my arm out to the side. I have a table next to my chair where I keep my tablet and coffee. Hurts when I reach for them. Might be repetitive movement. I was fine yesterday til I picked up my tablet to post. I am reaching across with my left hand to get my coffee but still using right arm for tablet. The hand pain is in the ball of my hand and where my thumb joins. I've had this before.
What happened to "Neither rain nor snow nor sleet or hail shall stop the postman?". I don't recall our mail ever not being delivered due to weather. One time my pension check was a week late. It came a day after our neighbors came home from vacation and I suspect it mistakenly was held with their mail. I switched to direct deposit after that.
Yesterday DH and I had another go round about him fixing food for me that I don't ask for. Finally he said he will never do it again. I knew what would happen. Now he won't fix food when I want it. He makes outstanding scrambled eggs that I cannot duplicate. I had to make my own today and they were sub par. But I kept my mouth shut. Its better this way. He usually goes back to his old ways in a few days. I don't want him giving me sandwiches etc every time he makes one for himself. I am a,compulsive over eater and it is close to impossible for me to say no. I don't want him throwing it away. If he is eating something it doesn't tempt me.
I am rereading The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living in an attempt to go back to low carb. I'm through the first few boring chapters and now getting to the nitty gritty. What I've been doing recently isn't working. I might even get out my Atkins books. I donated most of my diet books but kept the low carb ones. This will be very hard with DH in the picture.

Ann, I usually love this time change of the year because of the longer daylight. I usually bounce out of bed and ready to go, but I have to make myself get up the past few weeks. I am a routine type of person and am finding it difficult to do that the past few weeks. I really have had to push myself. I'm not sure why unless it is all the exercise I've been doing. I never got around to doing the bike yesterday so have to do it today, tomorrow and Saturday in order to get my 5 days done on it. The way I feel right now, I will have to push myself. I had a preacher who talked about the stage where you look forward to exercising, but I haven't reached that yet.
Carol Sue, I wonder if you could tell DH that you really love the way he cooks some things like your eggs, but you aren't always hungry for them and would love for him to ask you first. Using an emotional stroking of his ego, just tell him that you would rather have them when you are hungry so you can really enjoy them. Just a thought cause you know him and I don't. I could get DH#2 to do almost anything I wanted him to do using emotional stroking of his ego. I tried it with DH and it never worked with him. He is very much his own person and I've never really figured him out. He was raised by a controlling Mother and I was raised by a controlling Dadding and it has to be a miracle that we even get along.
Scale still won't move, but I am trying to see that as a blessing. I am so thinking about going back on Atkins but it will not be easy these days.
Although I still haven't received the package I was supposed to have gotten Tuesday, I did the order that was to be delivered yesterday. It is the powder version of the calcium I am taking in place of the Fosamax. I got it early enough to take all 3 doses yesterday. I can actually take it in water and I don't think it tastes all that bad. Praying it works. In fact, it might be a blessing that it came first, because I will buy it in this form from now on.
Pork loin chops in crock pot cooking in cream of chicken soup and I will surround it with veggies and maybe a salad. I didn't eat until after noon when I had a small apple and a cup of coffee. I have cut back to 2 cups a day hoping I won't have to cut it out completely.

I slept til 9:15 today and I'm loving this. I like having my time to myself sometimes but like the extra sleep, too. I ate my chili for dinner and then fell asleep for a short nap. I cannot say I'm sleep deprived! The chili was very good. That's it for another month or so since DH just tolerates it.
Tomorrow we are going to Target. We used to shop there often when I used to use their pharmacy. We received a gift card for Christmas. There isn't anything in particular that we want but I'll just buy food stuffs. We buy our bottled water at Wal-Mart but they have been out of our brand for 2 weeks. Target sells an acceptable substitute.
Trish, I know DH will cook my eggs for me if I ask him but I want him to get into the habit of not, first. I don't want him to go back to the way he was at all. He knows how much I prefer his scrambled eggs and I just have to ask.
I called about the marriage license paper I received and they said it did not need to be returned. So now I just have to wait for the birth certificate.
Today did not go quite as planned, I got the floors washed and cleaned up the dog yard but the rain came so branches will have to be done another day. I cleaned the oven and range hood instead. Tomorrow morning I will clean out the fridge and freezer.
Trish, I havent done my bike for a couple weeks, and DBF asks about it almost daily, I really hate it but I do love how much it helps my knees.
Carol, I haven't had chili in years, I do love tacos, but cannot control myself with the shells. I could eat just a whole box of shells with melted cheese in them, so they do not come into my house at all. I make the taco filling with ground turkey and stuff into peppers and bake, then I serve over a bed of lettuce with tomatoes, sour cream and guac. I buy the salad topper cruncy tortilla strips to give me just a little crunch.
I had also planned to turn over my garden beds so that is put off for another day as well. I have a lot of yard work to be done, raking out of garden beds, debris pick up and get ready for mowing next month. I mow about 2 acres, then I have to go back out and trim edges, that takes longer than the mowing. I like the place to look neat and maintained. I had a fence company come last fall and they were supposed to get me an estimate. I need to replace the fence from the house to the garage and I need 2 gates in it. I currently have a wire fence but I want a privacy wood fence at least 4 feet tall so my patio is hidden. I also need to have the patio leveled and stone laid. If I had the privacy fence I would sit out at the picnic table in my jammies with morning coffee.
Bears are out of their dens so I have to bring in my bird feeders tonight. We get some really big ones out here. 2 years go when I was looking through the SD cards from the cameras I came across a huge male standing up scratching his back on a tree. The camera took 8 pictures, in one he pulled the tree down and bit it. I went out with the tape measure and from the ground to the hole from his bottom tooth was 7 foot 4 inches, so glad I didn't run into him.

I ate low carb all day. Just scrambled eggs for a late breakfast, string cheese at lunch time. I wondered about the chili as beans are carb, but are said to be good for blood sugar because of the fiber. Trish, remember the Magic Foods. Well before dinner blood sugar was 103. That is unheard of for me. 2 hours after dinner it was 114, and 4 hours after dinner it was 112. No high spike and on its way back down. I'm amazed.
Although we have close neighbors I could sit on the deck naked if I wanted. I don't want!! There is a wooded hill behind our house. It's our property. We had wood privacy fence on both sides of the deck, but the yard is not fenced, if that makes sense.

Carol Sue, Yes I remember that book. I should get it out. I got my Atkins book out to look at. I'm reading the book you are reading and waiting to see what they say because I am not sure I can do keto, but maybe a regular low carb plan. I told DH tonight that I am thinking about going back to Atkins low carb mainly because I am tired of the potty issues I seem to live with lately. May wait and start that on the first of April.
Ann, DH and I used to watch a mama bear and her cubs playing on someone's porch and yard on YouTube.
I filed a claim on USPS online for the lost package. Amazon has given us a refund on a gift card so I reordered 2 of the items which is supposed to be here Saturday. The nice thing that came out of this is that I ordered another bottle of the powdered EZorb for my bones instead of the pills.
My eating has been pretty good. I fudged a little on MFP to get up to 1000 calories because I just ate a little something to take my evening pills and when I tracked I had not eaten enough and it was too late for me to eat anything and I wasn't hungry anyway.
I see we have a new "friend". How I wish admin could keep these spammers off our site.
I slept really well Wednesday night, and went to the ENT appointment yesterday morning. He was thorough and did a good exam and history, then sprayed some freezing in my nose then inserted the camera/scope. It was a little uncomfortable but manageable . I was having this exam because of worsening hoarseness and throat pain. This is not a "sore throat" but more like an ache deep in the throat. Like there is painful pressure.
Good news is no growths or other issues, no signs of acid reflux causing issues. I have a muscular issue. I am using accessory muscles in my neck and throat to speak and my vocal cords are being stretched, sometimes open even when I don't speak, and its called muscular dysphonia (I think I have that right). I can get a speech therapist to help. So all good.
In addition to walking Buddy, I worked in my little herb garden. I have a raised bed box at the front of the townhouse, shared with my neighbour. He was also outside because it was so warm and sunny. We cleared stuff, dug up some oregano that threatens to take over, and I ruthlessly trimmed back the rosemary and the thyme. Its all looking quite good. I need to put in basil and parsley again. The dill self seeds from last year. On his side, he usually plants some vegetables.
Carol: I think the pain is back as the tylenol wore off. My preference is to test sooner than later because there are meds that can help prevent covid from getting really bad, for those at higher risk, which you are based on age and your diabetes and heart condition. I don't know how easy or difficult it is for you to get a test. If its negative, and you just have a cold or something, all good. If its positive, you can decide about treatments and learn about when to go do hospital with worse symptoms etc. We have several rapid tests here. We will do them on Saturday before DD 30th birthday party. And maybe a few days later, or if symptoms appear.
Sadly, I slept about 3.5 hours only and have not been able to get back to sleep. Its disappointing after my good night the night before.
