Happy Boxing Day! We bought a TV, lol....DH saw the deals on and was in line at 5am for the opening at 6. BLAH to that, but I like the new TV!! haha Hope everybody had a great Christmas, we had lots of fun - busy day! We're doing some more gift exchanging today with family who weren't there yesterday - so the craziness continues.

Morning All ..first off I hope everyone had a great Christmas, I know I did...got lots of nice things...didnt have near enough time off, only one day...but lets face it, corp America ( and my company big time ) dont care about their employees or them spending time with their families like they used to ( I know there are still some out there that do )....sad really...they would rather give us MLK Day or Presidents day rather than give us more time at Christmas...okay, off the soap box ...

I take it no one weighed in this weekend? I might fall over if I weighed myself now...I am sure there would be tears shed...

Everybody have a great day !!!!

Later,
Carri

Not weighing myself at all until WI on Friday. I probably wouldn't be in onederland anymore if I weighed myself today.

Hi all! Yeah, no weighing in for me! Ugh... Anyway, Christmas was nice, but the bad food lingers on...

We had no snow for Christmas, but it started yesterday through this morning. I don't know how much is out there, it's so windy, drifting like crazy. I've been out for hours trying to make some pathways, but until the whole neighborhood cooperates, my poor puppy isn't getting anywhere. This is so hard on her that it's no longer fun for me.

Gotta go do some laundry now, back to work tomorrow. Can't even stand that thought.

Hope everyone's doing well, even if not OP! And welcome, tschaff!

OK well I did weigh on Friday morning...I was down 1.4. I've eaten quite a bit of chocolate over the past few days, but did fit it into calories pretty well. Just one more eating hurdle, New Year's! That will be more challenging as I will be imbibing that night!

Carri - Sorry you only got one day off, that does suck. I like that we have boxing day too as a holiday after Christmas day - one day isn't nearly enough. You're right though so many companies do not respect that work/life balance that is SO important!

tschaff - Don't worry I'm sure you'll be in onederland by the time you weigh again (if you're not now)!

auntie g - Have fun with laundry (yeah right)!

We're just doing some more playing today - DH's normal day off is Monday so he had three days off in a row which is really unusual and very nice! Hope everybody has a great day!

Hi Ladies just want to stop by and say hi! Dh was off today (his first day off in 7 months) so we enjoyed it! I will admit I haven't done any calorie counting in a few days so I'm sure I am up but starting Jan 1st I WILL be back on track and eating right/exercising. I went to Old Navy yesterday bc they had all their jeans on sale. I bought myself another pair of 14s and a pair of 12s that I could get up and on but were tight but that means they will fit soon right?!). Getting back to normal tomorrow and maybe taking some Christmas stuff down tmw ( I am ready to organize and get the house back together...I'm not a scrooge I swear!). Have a great night ladies!

Smile Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hi Girls,

Sorry it's been a few days since I've been in here! I have kinda been swamped at work for about a week and I havent had a chance to log on.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I actually invited my mother in law and sister in law to come and stay at my house for the weekend, and surprise my husband. We live in Indiana and they live in Florida, so he was not expecting it. So that was fun to watch his reaction and see him enjoy spending the time with them over the holiday.

I'm a Christmas junkie...so I'm borderline depressed that it's over. At least we have a 3 day weekend to look forward to with New Year's.

SO, I STARTED WEIGHT WATCHERS YESTERDAY! I figured I would start 1 week early to try to beat the resolution crowd that will show up next week! haha I am so motivated and hope to keep this feeling up for a while.

The bad news is, I weigh a lot. The good news is, I'll never weigh this much again! I actually weigh myself here at work every other week or so. I got on our scales yesterday and it was about what I thought it would be. Then I weighed in at WW for the first time last night and it was 5.5 more than here at work. So that was a bit of a punch in the stomach...but it's ok because I know it's only temporary.

Hello to everyone! I read through all of your posts, it sounds like you are all doing well!!!

Default Rude Awakening :(

Ladies I have finally hit my breaking point...I had a really bad dinner last night and ended up eating way to much desert (which included part of a blizzard from Dairy Queen). I ended up feeling really bloated and miserable after the ice cream...I knew it would do it to me but did it anyways. I had a horrible nights sleep (or lack there of). Woke up feeling miserable and ready to detox my body from all the crap I have been eating over the last week. As soon as I feel like I don't want to calorie count anymore this happens and kicks me in the butt. I managed to maintain until last night and woke up 2 pounds higher ahhhhh its time for a change! Tons of water here I come! lol

Welcome back Tara!
And welcome tschaff04!
Glad you have a 3 day weekend coming up Carri!
Congrats on the loss Liz!
I feel the same Auntie!

Awww, sorry to hear you had a bad day/week. I can definitely relate. Sometimes I will randomly get an overwhelming urge to over indulge. Especially with the sweets. They are my weakness. I know how it's going to make me feel afterward but I give in and then end up feeling awful and guilty for doing it.

The best thing for me to do is move on. Have the slip up and move on to the next day. I try not to beat myself up to bad about it. My body already does that for me after I eat it.

Thanks for the kind words T! I knew I shouldn't of ate the ice cream bc I'm lactose intolerant Apparently I blow up, look like I am pregnant and feel miserable. Today was a better day food wise but my oldest woke me up at 5:45am ahhh!

Well I got all my Christmas stuff down and put away inside the house. The house looks so naked without that huge tree but I LOVE my house looking really clean. We will be taking everything down outside when it warms up a little later in the week.

Now if I could only get my stomach to look like it did 3 pounds ago...it really is crazy what 3 pounds can do to someone. I feel like I look 15 pounds bigger and refuse to get up to 200 again! I hope to be down some on sat but will kick butt next week.

Tara - Congrats and good luck with WW! I've done it in the past and had success (and then pregnancies which screwed things up, haha) - and I know lots of people who have done awesome. Can't wait to hear how it goes for you!

Carri - Boxing day is supposed to be the day you box up leftovers and bring them to less fortunate people (where it got it's name) but now it's a holiday the day after Christmas where there are lots of sales! It's a leftover of our English roots in Canada, one I don't want to give up!

Mel - I'm right there with you, I took everything down the past couple of days - my house is clean again! yay! Plus we go into birthday mode now, Jacob's party is on the 15th, and then Katie's I have yet to plan. Don't worry about the 3 pounds - I bet you the bloat is mostly from the lactose, anyways. Hope you get some more sleep - 5:45 is WAY TOO early!!

T - Hi!

I had a good day today - we finally got our family room mostly finished, DH still has to do the baseboard though. But the floor is done, it's painted, the fireplace is in, and the new TV! We love it! Even though we went into some debt for it, I think it's totally worth it....we'll really enjoy the room. Anyhow off to bed, talk to you gals tomorrow most likely!
